I remember finally beating his second form for the first time and falling into the lava during the escape sequence. Really surprised the controller still worked after that.
MVCI sigma will be playable using own moveset in megaman x1 and x2 then lvl.3 sigma hyper combo is kaiser armor in megaman x3 so will be pre-order in MVCI on oct.3 paired all 6 character dlc sigma, black panther, hunter, winter soldier, venom, and gill.
Sigma's 2nd form's most "difficult" part was that it had weird hit box. His hit box was the invisible part way above his head. That's what made this boss difficult. But as soon as you figure that out, he's pretty easy.
@@edgarcervantes1287 No, you only had difficult time, because you were aiming for his head (that's what the flashing part was). His real vulnerable part was the back-blade that was sticking from his back (that was above his head).
It's weird. I can get past his first phase without any damage (surprisingly). It's his second phase that really destroys me. Awesome video, by the way. You rock at this game, and any other game I've seen you play.
This is seriously one of the most difficult final bosses in SNES platforming history. Only ones I can think of that are worse are the bosses for Super Ghouls and Ghosts and Demon's Crest (the real boss). Well, maybe Actraiser 2 as well. This one comes out of nowhere though. Most of the game isn't that hard, and the end ramps up, but this is just so difficult. Even when you know the pattern he's hard as crap to hit and takes forever.
It's pretty manageable once you know his pattern, particularly the 2nd half. Like most X3 bosses, Sigma does a lot of damage, but has an exploitable pattern he doesn't deviate from. As you can see in the video, the missile attack while Sigma is on the left side is the troublesome part. Stick to the bottom-right and you can react to any variation of the missile attack.
I can't even crack the pattern. I'm watching this completely mind blown how he's even avoiding the opening flames. I can jump one of em, then I get hit, no fucking clue how this player is doin this. I need a slow motion detailed breakfownt
@@jackburton2680 If you're still struggling with this, remember that it goes low, high, middle, low, high, middle. Jump over the 1st, Pull back a bit if you need to to avoid the 2nd, Dash under the 3rd one, Then quickly jump out of the dash to avoid the 4th like the 1st, Drop down again to avoid the 5th, just like the 2nd And dash under the 6th just like the 3rd. It takes some practice and it's definitely intense because he shoots them pretty fast, but you can get a feel for it!
If you aim directly at his head the body will block the shot. Best way i've found is to aim in between the two yellow cannons on his left side (so just above his head). Use the first charged shot for it's faster to use and has a smaller hitbox making it easier to aim. It also destroys any incoming missiles still hitting Sigma's head after!
Wow, I've believed myself the absolute master of this game for several years (having finished it several times, being capable of beating it in a few hours, knowing precisely how many buster shots every enemy takes, the location of every upgrade, etc) and I've never known that the charged S Blade does THAT much damage to Sigma. How weird. I always did consider that the most useless weapon in this game....
I just can't avoid the missiles. No idea what the trick is to that. And when he does the beam low I'm fucked, no idea how to take out the mines, they come too quick for me to blast em so it's guaranteed damage
It's doable, but it's going to take a lot longer to take him down, and it's much harder to dodge the shield doing a 8 in that position then it is to dodge the shots from the ground.
A nifty trick i learned for his first form: You can stay out of his range by wall jumping up above him and still hit him with the spinning blades by shooting outwards. After this he will almost always just jump to the other end of the screen, at which point you jump across or air-dash. You can beat him without being hit this way, and you don't have to be amazing at MMX games.
Jesus I'm watching this trying to figure out how to dodge his very first attack, the flames he shoots out, and I can't even tell what I'm watching. What exactly is the pattern/trick here!? Looks like just jump and air dashing? I can't not get hit at least once, but pretty much always twice every time he does those flame peojectiles
Holy fuck this video is 17 years old....I'm replaying this game again and I can't beat Sigma LOL. I love this game so much, this one is definitely my favorite of all the Mega Man games. I made it to this fight last night on the PS4 Legacy collection. This was the first fight that made me decide to give up. Well it was 2 in the morning. Maybe I'll try again today.
The Z-saber is a real cheesy weapon. With it, u can kill all bosses, including Kaiser Sigma, in 2 hits. However, in order to get it, u must forfeit Zero by having him die against the bug mini-boss in the second Doppler stage. Therefore, Zero will not appear after u defeat Sigma (instead it will be Doppler himself applying the anti-viral program onto Siggy).
