@@ErebosOnTwoWheels I'd disagree, a lot of Jinjer's material runs like a new kse album. It all sounds good on it's own but one after another I personally drift off and hear the same song.
@@kuneefay I can't say that I've listened to all of their songs but I've listened to a lot of them. They mix a lot of different sounds and styles into different songs, I don't think they all sound the same. I'm not dissing Spiritbox by any means, I've been listening to them a lot lately.
They haven't made a bad song . Trust Fall is beautiful. Belcarra or Bleach Bath are brutal. Mara effect trilogy more expansive and progressive. Dive anywhere into their catalogue and you'll be delighted. New song drops 3rd July.
Awesome reaction! Its so great to see others so excited and affected by music😁.....now their song "Belcarra" . I have to say these guys MUST be Meshuggah fans after hearing this one.
Awesome reaction, that was fun haha :) Spiritbox is so awesome and definitely my favorite band! Their style and writing is so unique, every single song by them is outstanding. Courtney's vocals are insanely good and I love the combination of these heavy riffs and her beautiful voice - it really fits together. The guitarist, Mike Stringer, who is also her husband writes all those sick riffs and even programs the drums, because they don't have a drummer - so freakin talented. They formed Spiritbox in 2016/2017 and before that they both were members of the band iwrestledabearonce. I'm glad you enjoyed that, welcome to Spiritbox! Blessed Be is a masterpiece and I love it. Since you enjoyed this one I'm 100% you also gonna enjoy their song Rule of Nines - you should definitely check it out. :) Also stay tuned, they gonna release a new single on the 3rd of July! See you in the next one! :)
Reality80 - It's too funny for me seeing your comment on every reaction video haha. I'm curious whether you have some connection with the band if or you're a superfan?
New song by them just dropped. Holy Roller. It's pretty much the opposite end of the spectrum for them. Much more brutal, just as bouncy. This and the new song really show the extremes of their range!
I've been following them for a good while now and have loved every thing. Though as of recently, have decided that this is my favorite song and cannot think of it in any other way. It both screams of a familiar rocky past, yet almost sings like a lullaby. I think it's just beautiful and a master piece.
That was a nice reaction. Spiritbox sure is one hell of a band to come out! If I may ask that you also try Faspitch - Flame (from the philippines) They've got great sound and lyrics to. Thanks!
Great reaction Marlene! I love that you let the breakdown play all the way through before commenting on it, allowing yourself the full first vibing of the section! I will check out more of your vids and your band too if you have one on here. BTW my favourite Spiritbox video (and as someone else has said already they are ALL good) is far and wide The Beauty of Suffering - Courtney LaPlante Live Vocal Performance. It is powerful and you will fucking love it, I promise! Good luck and cheers from The Emerald Isle!
Thank you @Fantastic Dimensions! Yeah if you check on my channel I have my original music on the music video section! I will add that performance on my list! Cheers!
You should definitely try Sleep Token - Sugar. New band getting tons of attention from fans and musicians alike for their unique fusing of genres. Before covid 19 they were about to be on the Knotfest at Sea tour which is really crazy considering how little they've put out.
Great reaction! Definitely do more Spiritbox.... Would suggest Rule of Nines, Belcarra, Bleach Bath, but you really should do all songs including the live studio recordings at some point. Not a bad one out there, even the rarely played Aphids.
My favorite songs that are the most melodic and have the best melodies are: ~“Everything’s Eventual”- so beautiful, great lyrics that hit me in the feels. ~”Perennial”- a faster paced song that doesn’t have too many aggressive vocals, but I still get chills from the emotions this song evokes in me. ~”Bleach Bath”- a total headbanger that kicks off with a punch in the face & does a complete 180 a minute or two into the song. The chorus makes me want to dance and the ending is brutal enough to make me want to punch babies, lol.
Courtney's unlikely secret weapon is that she could easily find a place on any pop radio station with her outstanding voice. Fortunately for us, she uses her powers for evil 😈
No doubt you should listen to "Rule of Nines" next. It is a perfect mixture of their softer and harder sides. Masterpiece. If you can take a bit more brutal, you should *after* listening to these 2 songs continue the journey with "Bleach Bath" (and this is of course not meant literally, the song title reflects what people do with their murder victims ...). After this you are ripe to get your head blown away with the extremely brutal "Belcarra". At this point latest you already belong to the Spiritbox army and should pray to Spiritbox with celebrating the song trilogy "The Mara Effect live at Silversound" for some transcendence. Or just Entertainment. Relax to the heartwarming "Trust Fall", be confused by "Electric Cross" and party with the unicorn and "Perennial". I guess at that point you should buy some merchandise from them, maybe the pink death metal longshirt or so. Or the legendary "Spirit Sox" from the "Spirit Box". Yeah. They are *the* shit nowadays. And they did not even finish the first tour due to corona, sit on an island in canada and wait for the possibility to meet up with the bassist and drummer in a studio. ... And have NO label in the background and are just in the works for their first full length album. Amazing quality for these circumstances.
PS: I really enjoyed your reaction a lot. Same for the Jinjer reactions. Please continue, your reactions are genuine and you have enough knowledge about music to really get what's happening. You know when you see a hidden gem, aren't you? Thumb up.
Btw, since I guess you are interested in hearing/seeing female growlers that you *might* not know already, you should definitely check out Britta "Elchkuh" (means "Moose Cow") Görtz, who was the vocalist ot the german Thrash Metal band "Cripper" and does now Death Metal with "Critical Mess". Tip to listen into her vocals: Cripper "Animal of Prey" (official music video)
Finally a REAL reaction, not all those videos where they 'conveniently pause' right before the heavy part like 99% of all the Spiritbox and Jinjer reaction videos
They’re really good friends of mine, and everything they do is so impressive. Bleach Bath would be my suggestion. Song and video are both inspired by Ted Bundy murders. Courtney’s 3 outfits/looks are inspired by 3 of his victims.
It must be hard watching this video as another vocalist. Because Courtney has already established herself as better than the person watching this video.
You can't go wrong with Spiritbox, they're the freshest thing to happen to metal in years. Every song is different and it's own animal.
Same can be said for Jinjer.

Rule of Nines and Bleach Bath are the way to go. Spiritbox is one of the best bands around right now.
Only just started listening too these guys like a week ago. Sweet lucifer they are amazing.

How did you not even mention Rule of Nines? I think that is their most reacted to track...
Yeah don’t forget beauty of suffering.
Fun reaction. Spiritbox have a number of good songs. I'd suggest Rule Of Nines next. Cheers!
LOL i got happy when you got happy. I just found this band today and im Canadian. I hear their out of Vancouver Island apparently?
Okay perhaps the softest voice that has ever been. Enjoyed it.

Courtney's voice is beautiful. She is one of my favourite female vocalists
With Tatie ! ;-) \m/
“Female”. Always a qualifier.
Oh, well, and today the newest crazy Spiritbox song went online here on youtube: "Holy Roller"

Need to listen to their new song "Holy Roller"
