this is so funny bc I stanned when they debuted and stopped right before buenos aires, I think they literally DO NOT age, I still watch their shows bc they are so mf funny, I still listen to this song also and to violeta, I occasionally listen to their other song but my life is consumed by dreamcatcher 😂 eunbi and nako have always been my izone bias and I really hope they extend contracts, this debut went so hard and izone has literally been so known and present in kpop every comeback, after IOI I really was happy with this girls, also seeing Nako, Hitomi and Sakura build up their skills in korean, dancing and singing, I can’t imagine them going back to AKB in japan😭 i also love having the chae sisters be so powerful in the kpop scene after trying to debut so hard, I still remember their mom crying when she got picked as the last member. I completely forgot they were supposed to disband so quick bc they are so popular it just seems not possible, they belong in iz*one. Lots of rumors here in Korea about extending IZ*One's contact. They were the 3rd best selling gg after BLACKPINK and TWICE. Not only that, the domestic fandom is just slightly below ARMY in terms of loyalty. Unless Starship (Wonyoung & Yukon) gets too greedy, an extension may actually really happen.
Unfortunately it’s more than just Starship. WM (Chaeyeon’s label) has a girl group all lined up & rumor is they’re just waiting for Chaeyeon to debut with them. Woollim has 2 potential superstars in Eunbi & Chaewon (who I would content has garnered the most attention this comeback) who they could easily build a group around or have them debut as a powerful duet & there are some rumors that Yuehua (Everglow label) is excited to have Yena back, although regardless of what Izone does I think it would be a mistake to add Yena.....Everglow is going gangbusters without her. Add to that Sakura has already announced she’s leaving kpop & returning to Japan after the group disbands. Yes, each of the girls labels are making some decent money but let’s be honest OTR, or more accurately their parent company, CJ ENM (the massive entertainment conglomerate that was formed when Stone Music & Mnet’s parent company merged-on a side note it makes me sick that Mnet & it’s parent company are still making money off Izone after the voting scandal) are the ones really cashing in. I would LOVE to see Izone stay together but I do think it’s unfair to characterize Starship or any of the other labels as greedy if the group does disband.
