Could you sound more bored?
+David Nissan He's going for the Morgan Freeman soothing voice.
lol right? sooo mono
u need a cup of coffee bro
no doubt, I like the info but he sounds bored, tired, or disinterested throughout the entire video. If you're going to take the time to make it sound as though you like the series
😂😂😂
you have an incredibly vivid and dynamic and hyper excited tone of voice
It was not a struggle at all to get through the video
lmao
please consider changing your tone a bit
+A Buchner I hear ya, unfortunately it's all pretty fake. Including this story, might as well get on board and have some fun, eh
there is a difference between fake-enthusiasm and commercialism, and being engaging.
This guy has good content, but it would be much better if he talked in an engaging way.
Hahaha, took the words right out of my mind LMAO I was just about to say the same. Had to give a thumbs down for that extremely lame reading voice, sorrynotsorry, I'm petty like that. FOHWTBS!
Thankyou so much for featuring my artwork at 1:20 !! I have done another, better weirwood drawing since then, so if you ever have need of another pic, check it out! Nice video by the way!
Cheer up mate, you sound like Brendan Dassey
I thought everyone was already on board the Mystery Knight = Lyanna Stark? it's stated she was an amazing horse rider, and she fought off the 3 squires who were beating Howland up so she's obviously had training enough. yeah like I thought this was the commonly accepted theory by now? it doesn't really change anything about this video though, lyanna doing this for him is still the old gods hearing him in a way, and fits more with the way magic seems to work prior to the dragons coming back to life.
+Nathan Reiswig Yeah I found out about that idea after making this video and I think it makes more sense than Howland being the mystery knight. But, as you say, it doesn't really change my opinions on the other stuff that I said in the video.
+Nathan Reiswig
My belief is that Benjen was the mystery knight, though Lyanna was involved as well.
+Nathan Reiswig You could believe that, but the mystery knight commanded the knights to discipline their squires in a booming voice, something I doubt Lyanna has, also Howland Reed was badass enough to help take on those Kingsguards at the tower of joy, maybe he's just stronger than he lets himself appear. Also Benjen could be involved somehow
@@DLLW93 Yeah I always wondered why the hell Ned would choose Howland to go take on 3 of the best fighters on the continent when he got his ass beat by a couple of squires and openly admits he'd embarrass himself at the tourney. But now I think maybe he was actually a really good street fighter and since the silly lists have no real world application in a fight, he just didn't think he'd do good in a tourney sense. But then he'd be able to hold his own in a melee where he could hide behind trees and blow poison darts at his foes??
Or maybe he just dedicated the few years between the tourney at Harrenhall and the Tower Of Joy to solely training at arms. That might make him a decent fighter if it was a 24/7 training regimen and he possibly could stand a tenth of a chance at the Kingsguard. Either way, good call Ned!! Way to bring a Crannogman to a gunfight!!
Reed was a the tower also. He knows what happened at the tower of joy.
+karlbushtheII Yeah it's possible that he might be the one to reveal it to the reader. I'm thinking it might be Bran though because we'll be able to see exactly what happened as a flashback.
+Uther
" I'm thinking it might be Bran though because we'll be able to see exactly what happened as a flashback."
What good does that do us?
We don't need to be convinced.... the people of Westeros do, and none of them can share Bran's Visions...
We NEED someone with clout to back the claim...
+Uther
or it will be jon himself, who might have a vision while lying wound before allegedly being resurrected
prospecial
Jon will do what all wargs do on death.
Brush the Weirwood Net, and Live on in Ghost.
This is covered by the Prologue with Varamyr.
And the vision of him
"Now he was a man, now a wolf, now a man again."
+Uther I agree we will get Jon's parentage through Bran's dreams through a flashback of sorts. I also do think that Rhaegar and Lyanna were married and they were married at the Isle of the Faces. Also I am pretty damn certain that Lyanna was the Knight of the Laughing Tree. I mean Rhaegar was sent to find the "man" and "only found his painted shield. Rhaegar then decides to join the ranks in the tourney and then after winning the tourney elects to crown Lyanna the Queen of Love of Beauty. I mean I don't think all of this fits if Lyanna wasn't the knight. Her heroism was something that caught Rhaegar's eye.
I like the video, but you sound tired, a cup of coffee before hitting record would do wonders.
I am glad I found this video. I agree with you about the Isle of Faces having an important role to play. One thing I don't understand is the fight at the Tower of Joy. If Lyanna went willingly, as is popularly believed, why would Ned need to fight the Kings Guard? Wouldn't they all be on the same side?
I have commented about your very monotone and bored tone before, and I see others have also, but now I actually quite embrace it. It's become what makes you unique and reminds me of watching an episode of "Drunk History". Plus you have good info and research so thumbs up to you my friend.
I think its more likely that Lyanna is the Knight of the laughing tree. We are told many MANY times that Lyanna was an excellent rider, something that GRRM also makes clear goes hand in hand with being an excellent jouster. Although I also have my own tinfoil theory about how Howland might of helped her win by skinchanging into ther competitors horses... a skill he might of later used to help defeat ser Arthur Dayne. Might also be the reason Jojen knew how to teach bran to skinchange.
Also im pretty sure that at the end of that story Bran asks if the Cranogman ever made it to the Isle of faces and Jojen says yes but doesn't tell bran the story.
I agree the Isle of faces is an important place, great video man.
+Preston Jacobs is that you punking us with the boring voice? Because Uther sounds like you in narration, but not animation.
as I am typing this, I am currently laying in bed. I need to wake up early tomorrow and the mellow, monotonous tone of your voice is on par with Ben carson. getting sleepy now... thank you.
your voice is so monotone. im so bored watching this. i cant even tell if what youre saying is interesting i just want to go to sleep
Absolutely loving the style, just throw your ideas out there, we know it's just theories, keep it up.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........snore........zzzzzzzzzzz........snore
your voice is very boring, please work on that
Well done and GREAT ANALYSIS despite the trolling of the nattering nabobs of negativity who try to hate themselves bigger by making others feel smaller I think GRRM got his inspiration for this from the Druid Celtic "Green Man". Druids in Celtic literally means "Ones who see Truth through the Trees"
You sound a lot like Big Head from Silicon Valley.
i find the music distracting
Great video dude, excellent content and alot of work was put into this! Only constructive thing i have to add is enjoy it a little more! Clearly your interested in the subject, thats why you made the video, show your enthusiasm in your voice! It will change the video tenfold
Lyanna was the mystery knight . Jojen kept asking bran are u sure your father never told you this story? And Lyanna vanished then the mystery knight vanished before final match and when Rhaegar won he knew it was Lyanna gave her the blue rose token . Solidifying his belief that her and him were the fire and ice to create azor ahai. And Lyanna and Rhaegar equals daenarys. Jon is the bastard of ashara Dayne and either Brandon or ned. Ned travels to dorne after tower to make baby exchange because daenarys could never pass as his bastard. Targaryn blood to prevelant. That's why when ned hears of broken promises he remembers his promise to lyanna , to keep dany safe. Which he never did . If it was Jon snow he got from lyanna he would have succeeded in keeping him safe
I too believe Lyanna is the most likely candidate for the mystery knight. It makes sense. She was fierce and wild and her horsemanship was almost without rival. Jon was conceived 1 to 3 months into the war and Brandon was dead by that time. As to Ned it's possible for him to be the father but highly unlikely as he was in the Vale and the North at that time and I personally doubt the Lady Ashara Dane would put herself in the middle of a war zone to have relations with Ned though it is possible but very, very risky to travel under those conditions especially for a highborn who could potentially be captured and held as a bargaining chip by the opposing side. Jon is definitely a Stark with the looks and the warging ability to back that up not to mention Dany's dream/vision of the blue rose growing out of the Wall. That really only leaves Lyanna as the Stark parent IMHO. :)
+Ever Dawn so are u saying lyanna had Dany and Jon as twins ? Jon is older than Dany ?
+Ever Dawn Dany definately stayed in dorne. the dream with the red door with a lemon tree. and EVERY OTHER time lemons are mention dorne is mentioned . also when tycho comes to the wall u find out the bravosi have zero love for the dragonlords going as far as saying dragons are nothing to joke about we lived in fear and our city was born from escaping rhe dragon lords. so I really think Dany was brought to dorne with the valaryian blade of house Dane after the tower of joy. Ned associates lyanna with broken promises because he never watched out for her
Geoff Williams I totally would like to know how the lemon tree fits in. Could be Braavos. I remember someone pointing out that even tho trees don't grow there the wealthy, like the sealord could have afforded to have lavish gardens including lemon trees. I know they are found in Dorne for sure. At any rate I don't know why this lemon tree stands out to me so much. Maybe I just need some lemonade! LOL
I believe Jon is about 9 months older then Dany, so no, not twins. Sorry if I gave that impression. As to that darned lemon tree, I agree the only place I've read where lemon trees grow is Dorne. I'm just saying a wealthy person like the Sealord of Braavos could have lavish gardens with exotic plants and trees in it, not that Dany was positively taken there. Just another possibility to think about. Btw I'm a little rusty on the Dornish map. Is the Dayne ancestral home in an area that would support lemon trees? You have the coastal areas, the deserts and the mountains. Not sure where Daynes are located.
I think, the mystery knight was Lyanna. She was good on horse and good with the sword. In a Bran vision, he first thought to see himself fighting with Arya in the godswoods. But it was not him and it was not Arya. Most properly it was Lyanna and Ned.
The Reeds and the Starks became friends at Harrenhal. The question is if Reed was there for a specific reason after visiting the Isle of faces.
what about Bran?, what if he worged into Hodor and fought as the laughing knight?? or another Hodor-like vessel. if he was able to see Jon with his mother and call out Ned in the past. the island of faces is close to hairinheld and all that power from the island. Bran finely gets to be a Knight. just a thought. and here's a question, what if the wall was built to keep the men out and the white walkers safe?? I mean if giant's helped build it the why would they stay on that side?
Love the Dotrice snippets. Like everyone else said, please perk up a bit. It actually doesn't help having Dotrice's voice contrast yours. He's a very dynamic reader. Don't cover Preston Jacob's vids unless you can supplement or show flaw in his theories. The latter would be harder but more interesting. Keep up the good work. Seven blessing, my dude.
So sad to come back to these old videos with such speculations, now knowing that it all comes to absolutely nothing (at least until GRRM finishes the books).
Love it. I subscribed just to hear more. Please make more....
at first i thought you were the most dignified, aristocratic, and aged game of thrones youtuber ever... then you started talking
Waymen Manderly tells davos that he is a knight of the green order.. Think that means a connection to the isle?
I like these videos. build up as well as commentary.
2 things:
- if you cover stuff Preston Jacobs already did, you might miss out on viewers as lots of ASOIAF-tinfoilers follow him too
- try to sound a bit less monotone.
but I'm willing to subscribe and endorse you to friends. keep on with the videos :)
i believe the knight of the laughing tree was liana stark... that is why rhegar found her and looked for her
This video is me in highschool doing a presentation on some boring shit thats worth 70% of my grade
As much as I enjoyed the commentary, that music was very annoying.
A voice more deadpan than Nathan Fielder's...
There is an island named Bloodstone in the Stepstones. Strange.
Isn't this the same music that the LA beast does his eating challenges to?
great job... enjoyed ur theories as well.
I enjoyed your video. thanks for it hard work.
How many weed did you smoke before doing the audio?
I'm of the mind that the Mystery Knight was actually Lyanna in real life but, just like every other tale told and retold, it makes it seem like it's the Crannogman thru the works of his prayers and Old Gods. That way there's both a romantic and cynical twist to the story.
You're right, he's wrong.
Glad to find this, I won a sub 1 min into video
Are you trying to put us all to sleep?
Versus.... Uuuther!!!
No, Lyanna is the knight of the laughing tree. It's completely obvious.
Great video!
