- COMIC CONVENTIONS ARE BACK! Join me for my first comic convention in over a year - the Tampa Bay Comic Con 2021 at the Tampa Convention Center! I bring you along for the full experience, including the epic cosplay contest where people show off their creativity with cosplays of every fandom you can imagine, from Marvel to Mortal Kombat and everything in between! We tour the vendor floor and see creative goods and wares, artwork and I even purchase some super cool tiki monster decor that you've got to see! We also tour the halls, check out some of the rooms with robots, LEGOs, gaming, dancing and so much more going on! Comic conventions are a whirlwind of fun celebration fandoms, creativity, fun and play, and TBCC and the wonderful patrons, vendors, panelists and staff delivered as always on all of the above! It’s worth checking out Bc it’s such a fun and immersive environment! Something different and you’ll be excited to see people dressed as characters you love! The amount of creativity just blows me away!

Awww, Adam is kicking himself he missed this, I bet. So much fun, and something for everyone! I remember visiting Sacramento and we just happened to be downtown when some big anime convention let out and all these wonderful costumes were EVERYWHERE! So much fun and so much creativity! xoxo

Fabulous atmosphere I think it's so cool that people go there in such fabulous costumes, go to so much effort into don't just mean vendors but visitors, just good innocent fun.

Awesome video and coverage of Comic Con. I was in rooms 22/23 (LEGO display). One of my model trains is visible at 14:24 lol (and I do see myself at a frame a little earlier).... damaged another which was rebuilt likely after you visited. Cosplay contest looked exciting.
Cool, I didn't know that Tampa had a comic con. Awesome, one day I need to go. I just knew about San Diego and N.Y and its at a good time in the summer.

I miss cons too. I'm in TX. I went to Tampa once in 2015 and it was storming as heck. Took a bus to Universal and it had to take detours because all the flooding.
Luckily it cleared up for my two days at the park!

So many great costumes it's hard to choose a favorite but if I had to, I always loved the Harley Quinn and Ghostbusters cosplayers! With Ghostbusters Afterlife materializing into theaters this November, they should be getting a lot of invites from conventions, parties, special events etc!

Really nice coverage of the con, exploring a ton of the various things you encounter there! I think the only thing you missed were the artists! The whole beginning of most everything you see! Don’t forget about us, please!
You’re right! I only showed some art booths in passing, I should have tried to show more! Sometimes I have to edit out a lot and it’s tough to decide. Also sometimes I’ve been told some artists don’t like their booths to be filmed so I’m always wary of that.
I can understand what you’re saying. Me? I don’t care, I just enjoy interacting with whomever stops by. The rest of your coverage was great. A little slice of everything.

Oh this one looks like so much fun! We just went to our local Comicon yesterday. We love going to them! I'm so happy that you're making videos about the ones in Florida so when we move we know what Comicons exist down there and what they're like. And you're right, going to these is like just being with your people. Everyone is so nice and supportive and there's a comfort/community feeling there that you don't get going to many other places aside from maybe Disney. Everyone is just there to have a great time and geek out. Super fun! Awesome video Jackie! Thanks so much❤️

I always do media coverage for the FL cons, but I didn't attend any this year so far. I'm debating going in for Megacon, but they denied me Media this time :'( lol Plus, I'll be staying Aventura that week so I might make a perfect miss of all the FL cons this year. Loved that Joe Exotic cosplay in your video lol
Granted, I haven't been to the Tampa Bay Convention center in about 13 years, BUT I see a lot fewer con-goers to TBCC. First, Metrocon happened in the same venue last weekend (And had a covid Outbreak too!), also there are more cons coming up in Central Florida so people have to pick and choose as very few can attend all of them.
With that said nice job both of you on covering this though the late-night panels and events are usually great!

All I could think of was all those episodes of Big Bang Theory where they go to Comicons, trying to get tickets, or starting their own comic con!
Actually the Orange County convention center is actually pretty good. If you hit the food court in megacon as they take the time to do it right plus a few new things that might be worth trying. It’s because usually the restaurant industry convention is maybe a week or two after megacon. They send some booths ahead to sorta get a lay of the land and well they are a lot better than standard convention food.
True I have been to MegaCon and love it! I plan to be there again this year. I didn’t see a ton outside the norm tho food wise but I’ll check this year. 👍🏻

This looks so fun! I've never been to a big Comic Con before, only small ones and I want to go to a big one so bad. I've watched so many videos and I know a guy that brings his Optimus Prime truck to them, but I've never had the opportunity to go to a big one. I'd also love to host a smaller one myself
