The style of today's video is a little different! Let me know how you like it =) Depending on the reception we may move towards the style next year! EDIT: PSA - If you have a question, please post it as a new comment, *_not_* as a reply to one of my earlier comments here. UA-cam does not reliably notify me of the latter, which means I may miss your message!
Hello and thank you for your comment! As of the time of this reply, Telegram only offers two statuses - One check mark being that Telegram has received and forwarded along, while two being that the recipient has viewed the message thread. I don't think the color means anything anymore. Source: telegram.org/faq#:~:text=Q%3A%20What%20do%20the%20check,the%20conversation%20with%20the%20message).
Hello and thank you for your comment! It means that your message hasn't yet been delivered to their device. Even if their device is online, it doesn't necessarily mean that all messages are immediately received. Also note that the "online" status doesn't necessarily mean that they are actually online - Usually, if they go offline in an "unexpected" manner (eg. Losing cell connection or the app crashing), the online status may be maintained for a couple of minutes.
Hello and thank you for your comment! What app is this in? Some apps may use a different convention, or it's also entirely possible the app has glitched.
Hello and thank you for your comment! The "online" status isn't necessarily accurate. Depending on how the other party went offline (especially if unexpectedly), the status may continue to reflect "online" for a time, even if they are not. Regardless, a single tick indicates that the messages did not reach their device, OR their device has not yet acknowledged receipt of those messages, if they _did_ arrive.
Hello and thank you for your comment! Generally, yes - When the message gets on his phone, it should update on your end with two ticks. However, with longer time periods like a month, there are other factors that may come into play as well - For example, chat providers may not hold your message in a pending state for that amount of time, so your mileage may vary here.
Hi me and my partner using viber and he said after he update it’s acting weird coz after he replied it’s always show one check but he said his not offline why is that??
Hello and thank you for your comment! My guess is that the app is not running in the background for whatever reason, so it wouldn't be able to receive messages. Sometimes a quick restart of their device is all that is required to solve this problem. If it persists, you may want to reach out to the support team of the app developer.
Hello and thank you for your comment! Your message has reached the server, but the server was not yet successful in forwarding the message to her device.
Unfortunately there isn't much information here to solve the problem. If her phone is connecting to the internet properly but she can't receive your messages, then it indicates that the server is unable to send the messages to her somehow. Assuming that the service isn't down, and if she can't receive messages from anyone, the problem is likely to be on her device. If she is only unable to receive messages from you, the cause may be something that only the service can fix. Ensure that both of you are updated to the latest version of your messaging app, and contact the support team for the app if the problem persists.
@@NERDfirst okay thank you but for sure I know she’s using data cellular does that mean she still gotta update her viber ? Sorry for asking so many questions I’m just confused
WhatsApp relies on servers although it may mislead how it works by using end-to-end encryption required to view files (while both sides are online) ORIGINAL: (WhatsApp doesn't rely on servers anymore (chat), for future viewers (is peer-to-peer now, that's why you have to wait for pictures for ex.))
@@NERDfirst Hello and thank you for responding quickly :) I thought it was due to the whole communication being end-to-end but it seems only encryption (decryption of content) is p2p? Here are some explanations why I thought that, hope you know sth more, your videos and uploading scheme/speed+quality is excellent, ty for your time. Hello again! Yes, what you're seeing there is a result of end-to-end encryption. Not really p2p either, this still goes through Whatsapp's servers. All end-to-end encryption means is that information is encrypted from the sending device and is only decrypted on the receiving device, so that even if the data sent is intercepted, the message cannot be extracted. If you don't mind, do edit your top comment in the interests of not misleading other viewers, thanks!

What is the meaning of one tick on viber but seen its last online?

What about the one blue check mark? What does that mean because I get it all the time
Hello and thank you for your comment! What app is this in? Some apps may use a different convention, or it's also entirely possible the app has glitched.
what about Telegram app, how can we know the check marks
Hello and thank you for your comment! Telegram works the same way as described.
My question is also the same
So you saying that one tick mean that they haven’t gotten the message because everytime I send a message to that person it shows up one tick
Hello and thank you for your comment! Yes, if there is one tick, the message did not arrive on their device.
what does it mean when you see that person is online but there is only one thick?

What if when i sent the message he was offline so i get one tick but then he re-connect after a month should it turn into two ticks??

Hey I have tried to send messages to my friend and It only shows me one single tick would you tell me why? Even tho she didn’t blocked me
Hello and thank you for your comment! Your message has reached the server, but the server was not yet successful in forwarding the message to her device.
@@NERDfirst so does that means I have to tell her to re download the app and add me back?
Please it’s important I need your help
