The Cold War before the Cold War.

LOL true

exactly
The eastern front before the eastern front
As a Finn, I say this was a very well done. Especially liked the use of molotov-cocktail against the tank and the other weapon choices for Finnish soldiers, like the rifle ''Pystykorva'' and submachine gun ''Suomi-konepistooli''.
Adding Häyhä to this video was a perkeleen good touch!
The only thing that was lacking was more Finnish swear words.
But otherwise, brilliant work!
Being a Finn must be amazing. Cause you got snow. But here in Florida i only got snakes, alligators, and the boiling hot sun.
Perkeleen hyvin sanottu

I believe a Finnish general said about the Winter war
"Russia is such a large country with so many soldiers and Finland is so small"
"Where we will find the room to bury them all?"
LOL. Well it was a hard and bloody war for both sides, but Finns were real heroes
Wow the guy who made my childhood is still here N O I C E

@@LCMhistory You most likely will :)
@@LCMhistory hey man! I’m looking to start making these but I’m not too sure where I can find the ww2 lego baseplates and soldiers. Any recommendations
@@KnoxzyGaming Well it depends on your demands. There a lot of cool stuff from USA and Europe - great quality but the price is rather high. Also you may get pretty cheap stuff from China... I can provide you with some links but I need to know what you are looking for

Finally the masterpiece is here
This is hands down some of the smoothest stop motion animation I have come across in years. Fantastic job!
Funny, I really do NOT like this style of Stop-Motion.
It feels too fast and too clean for me.
@@CraftageNate To each his own I guess. this is how it's SUPPOSED to be done though.
@@BrickfordCityFire I am not going to argue, but you saying 'supposed', means you invalidating ANYONE who does not do stop-motion at 50fps.
I mean when I say this: Go make a Stop-Motion at 50 FPS, then come back to me with a finished one, and I will respect your feeling a bit more

Ah. Ladies and gentlemen the most awaited masterpiece is here
Fun fact: he was called “The Magical Shooter” by the Finnish Soldiers. The Soviets have him the name “The White Death”
Simo Haya
These videos are awesome, I appreciate all the hard work to make these and the learning history aspect makes learning fun.
this is probably the best animation I’ve seen from this channel great job!
thanks :)
My greatgrandpa was killed on this war by a sniper. People of Finland were brave warriors, I respect them. There were plenty of soviet soldiers who died because of horrible frost (they had no special winter boots).
Winter war is not cold war winter war is gold war
Wow, so smooth and well made. This is awesome!
love this video, great quality as always
i love how the other finnish soldiers have german stalnhelm's/ushanka's while simo has the main finnish outfit and a skii
This takes playing with your legos to a whole new level
So very well done! Not just stop-motional manner, but also historical perspective. Finnish used "motti"-tactics to block vehicles from retreating in ambushes and also how the sniper - Simo Häyhä the White Deaths was realistically portrayed in this content. 6/5 stars for this one.
I love how much effort you put in theses, I love this one. This is my favorite one you did. Keep Up the good work!
great to hear that! :)

50fps was done with AI
That part when the Finnish PoWs are about to be killed, the White Death appeared and killed the Russians. That flexibility and the terrain is why he the Russians use a lot of firepower to a point they attempt to blew up a whole forest to get rid of him
Lot of respect for Finnish people, they managed to resist in the front of the soviet monster, unlike us, Romanians did
What? So you resisted too? I couldn't tell what you were saying
@@xhibisha he means the Finns were successful in resisting against the Communist Criminals, but Romania wasn't
As a romanian i must say this is true
Don't feel too bad, a lot of Europe failed in resisting the Soviets, and a lot of Europeans who tried resisting the Soviets were thrown under the bus by the West (East Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia).
They resisted so well that now I, a Russian, drink beer at my dacha in the former Finnish lands, and they give my country a lot of money for the opportunity to relax here. Fins were smashed to smithereens twice. And don't forget who eventually joined the countries of the fascist coalition. America and half of Europe fought fascism, and at the same time they worship white fascists. How poor everyone is, the Soviet Union criminally attacked them, attacked poor Finland... Russian Russians in Vyborg and other cities, for the genocide of the Russian people after the collapse of the Russian Empire, Finland has not received much yet. So, as they said, you'll notice a speck in someone else's, but you won't see a log in your own. May I remind you, Mr. Hungarian, what your soldiers were doing on the territory of the Soviet Union together with the troops of the Wehrmacht and the Waffen SS?
The reason why Finland was able to hold out for so long was that they were better trained better equipped for the winter terrain and new the land well.
The Soviets did not have much high ranking officers at the time were dead by Stalins purge so they could not tell where to attack and what’s the enemy’s defense and strength.
Sick you inspired me to by some army lego 👍🏼
Some really solid future-proofing! What a fun project :)
Simo Hayha was such a f*cking killing-maschine
true
Wonderful, very great job and thank you for it .
‘The White Death’ was very well done.
On this day 82 years ago, on November 30th, 1939, the USSR invaded Finland with 450,000 men and bombed Helsinki. Despite superior military strength, especially in tanks and aircraft, the Soviet Union suffered severe losses.
Finally, the invasion cost the USSR its seat in the League of Nations.
The Soviet Union won the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940. The USSR nevertheless, as a result of this war, achieved those territorial concessions from Finland, which it asked for during the peace negotiations.
The consequence of the victory of the USSR in the war was the pushing of the northwestern border of the Soviet Union by more than 100 km from Leningrad, which subsequently played a decisive saving role for this city in the Great Patriotic War. Finland, on the other hand, suffered huge casualties, especially in the cadre of officers and soldiers. Subsequently, the actions of Finland were aimed at regaining their old territories and conquering new territories from the USSR due to the German offensive against the Soviet Union.
@@dmtr123 Those are in general are well known facts, however it doesnt change the fact that it was military agressive criminal act equal to the Hitler's attack on other countrues. The will of USSR to move the border didnt give the right to attack another country.
@@LCMhistory Well, if you compare the Soviet Union with Nazi Germany, you are an idiot. You do not need to shoot historical videos, but cook chips in Coca-Cola.
I will repeat. The Soviet Union diplomatically tried to move the border away from Leningrad and offered its territories in return. When they did not agree, the military had to act.
Короче. На посмотри. Специально для тех кто книги не читает.

Mark Felton Productions presents
The Soviet attack on Finland
"The Soviet invasion of Finland began on November 30th, 1939. The Soviet Union attacked with 21 divisions totalling 450,000 men. The first clash between Soviet and Finnish troops was at the Mannerheim Line in Karelia. 130,000 Finnish troops were stationed in these defensive lines while the Soviets attacked with roughly 250,000 troops. Something also worth mentioning that the situation these troops were in was horrible, the record low peak in Karelia was -43 °C."
