It is unlikely that the higher protein intake is the problem. It is more likely that the increase blood sugar is causing your triglycerides to increase. There is a direct correlation between blood sugar levels and triglyceride levels.

I completely agree with this. I would also very strongly not suggest removing saturated fats (animal fats). Bacon and eggs are definitely not the problem. Limiting the bread is a good choice. I would also add in some intermittent fasting. And start small with IF. I've lost 100lbs, reversed insulin resistance (prediabetes), and have never been so healthy as I am at 40. There is so much old medical advise regarding fats and other things that are just wrong (I did so many of them for years, getting bigger and unhealthier). And not all LDL Cholesterol is bad either. Only the Small Dense LDL.

I am subscribed to about 50 UA-cams so I can run out of time to watch them easily. Also I do not watch any of the "shorts" nor do I like speeded up video.. I turned 54 this year, I am having heart surgery here in the next month.
The only medical advice I would give someone is don't take your health for granted, listen to your doctor and do not keep things from the doctor. I did it for many years and it took a heart attack to wake me up.

Sugar intake via fructose, sucrose, simple carbohydrates (white bread), etc. are more of a concern than proteins that contain cholesterol. This is not medical or fitness advice just what I did. After a severe back injury and waiting for workers compensation to approve the surgery I gain about 30lbs over 5 years of inactivity. I finally got approved for the surgery and the surgeon told me that I had to lose about 30lbs before the surgery. At the time I was on a 20lb lifting restrictions and I couldn't stand and walk for more than 15-20 minutes at a time before I'd start losing feeling in my legs and if I pushed too long my legs would give out and I'd fall over. I changed my diet slightly to include a vegetable of some kind with every meal and just a salad for lunch three times a week. With meats I concentrated on more lean cuts and incorporated as much wild game as I could, mostly deer and squirrel with occasional rabbit. I never have eaten a whole lot of breads or pastas, so there wasn't much to cut out there. Exercise was probably the hardest thing to figure out with the limitations I had. Three to five times a week I'd walk as far as I could carrying a small hunting stool with me before my legs gave out, then sit in the stool for 30-45 minutes to let my back calm down and then walk back. Sometimes I had to sit back down before getting back to the house. During two summers leading up to the surgery I would go to the lake and swim for about an hour to an hour and a half 3 times a week (weather permitting). I also did fitness band exercise given to me by the physical therapist three times a week. The therapy band set that I bought from Wal-Mart came with a description of different exercises you could do, most of which were the same ones given to me from therapy and a couple that I couldn't do until after the surgery.
    I hope this helps someone.
    God bless.
I love the videos. They are the reason I started doing some smithing at home.

Surely you ate other things than bacon and eggs, too. It's a bit presumptive to conclude. Ok, bacon isn't great with the salts, but that's another matter. Of course, nor is it a tempting prospect to experiment on oneself.
I've been listening to interviews with a norwegian scientist, professor Svihus, that works with bad cholesterol. He is critical of the nutrition advice that is given, and says:
    1. He is not getting data to support that eggs and animal fats raise bad cholesterol (LDL). The research that governments and MDs cite for that is 50 years old, from the days of hydrolysed margerine of types since banned.
    2. Only Virgin olive oil and coconut oil make little bad cholesterol. Cold pressed rapeseed is OK at best. All the others are bad.
    3. The number one problem is processed foods, because no matter what the foods contain it is more managable for the body if it is locked in a cell structure and your body has to work to get it out.
That means that also juice and smoothies, often deemed healthy, are quite bad. Sugar spikes aren't just bad for diabetes, when the liver is overwhelmed with sugars it stores it by making LDL.
    4. People don't make plant based margerine to do the public health a favor. They do it because the ingredients are cheap and the profit margin huge. But they play the poorly documented health card for all it's worth.
