    Thank you for this Mark! I've been going back and forth about purchasing some. I do a lot of car lifting and placing the car on jack stands for long periods of time. My number one concern has been will the tile get damaged and you pretty much nailed it. Mind you, I own a S2000 which is a little under 3,000Ibs, nothing like your tesla haha.

    Great information on an interesting product! That looks like 3/16” plate, though. Half the weight of 3/8, and certainly adequate.

    Hey Mark great vid! Just saw these tiles in a Costco ad and started researching and so far they sound like a great investment.
    Can you show/tell me what those 4 hanging totes are held up by or link? Super curious as I think it can free up a lot of space in my garage like that!

      Are you asking about the bins? The bins are just held up by some peg board hooks.

    What's the difference between male Vs female kit.
    Which one is recommended to be installed with tiles along the edge of garage wall and near the garage door?
    Is your garage standard two car size? If so, how many of the female kit you had to get to line it up near the garage door

    Great video! Are the floors noisey at all in different seasons? Also, what did you use as “baseboard” around the floor, covering the stem wall of your foundation? I have a similar situation I’m trying to finish. Thanks in advance!

      @mmark300  Рік тому

      Thanks! I don't think the floor changes in different weather at all, or at least I don't notice it.
      The cement "step" is covered with a 2x4 on top and 1x8 on the sides.
      Please subscribe, I hope to get more garage videos out soon.

    Great video, you sold me! I live in the PNW where it rains a LOT. Car is constantly wet, and thus the floor. Do the tiles allow water through the seams? Just wondering if water will eventually become trapped below and start to pool.

    • @mmark300
      @mmark300  Рік тому

      Thanks! It doesn't appear that water easily runs between the seams but I can't say for certain that it doesn't get underneath the tiles as I've never removed any to check.
      There are a lot of gaps under the tiles for air and 3 side edges of the flooring are not sealed in any way so I don't worry about it much.

    Hi, thank you for this video. Did you leave any space towards the ends on both sides like half a inch as all PVC based tiles expand and contract as temperatures change? Also if we don’t want the noise is there a particular underlayment that we can use for these tiles? Are you aware of any?

    • @mmark300
      @mmark300  Рік тому

      Thanks! Yes, I did leave some gap - 1/2" in some areas, but less in others due to the garage and wood trim not being square. It was also hot out the day I installed it in the sun so I'm not sure it would ever expand any more. I really should have cut the wood trim a bit more to allow the flooring to go underneath all the way around so it would look more finished, but I didn't think about it until it was too late and I needed to complete it in a weekend. It's also just a garage...
      I'm not sure an underlayment would be a good idea as the ones I'm aware of would hold water. While I don't believe that a lot of water gets underneath the tiles, I wouldn't want something under there to soak it up. I honestly don't even hear when I walk on the floor any more - I'm probably just used to it. The runner I put in also helps a lot. I would recommend that instead of underlayment.

    Moved from New England to Florida. No more slush and salt issues, but I’m wondering how long the polypropylene will last in the Florida heat and sun (we have the door open a lot)

    • @mmark300
      @mmark300  Рік тому

      That's a good question, mine is not in the sun much... You could always buy a few and set a couple outside 24/7 and compare them to some that are not left outside.

    Great videos on this flooring. I’ve seen this on sale for $100 per box! Anyway, what rug runner is that in the middle of your garage. I’m looking to add something similar in a ‘T’ shape when entering the garage from the house.

    Off topic from flooring, does your garage door have an electric door opener? Garage doors normally have a door opener and I didn't see one in your garage.

    When pouring water onto the garage tiles to clean them, does the water seep into and under the tiles and cause 'mold' or 'mildew?' This is one of my biggest concerns before buying into it.

    • @mmark300
      @mmark300  11 місяців тому

      Water does get under the tiles for sure. I'm doing a video on this now. I don't think it's a big deal as the water does dry and I didn't see any mold, but how long does it take to dry?

    Are these slippery when wet? Any idea if it would be hard to roll a 800lb motorcycle on a dolly ?

    • @mmark300
      @mmark300  Рік тому +1

      Surprisingly no, they don't really get more slippery when wet.
      I don't think you'd have an issue getting the motorcycle on the dolly or wheeling it around on this floor. This floor also eliminates all the cracks you have in your concrete that might be causing problems now.

      Depends how heavy the car is. None of them broke when I jacked up my heavy tesla, but I didn't want to stress them that much. I should really do a video showing it...
      I jacked up a Honda Civic and wasn't worried about the tiles
