Hey, my brother goes somewhere near the up el Segundo branch right after the residential area. What time does it usually start heading back from El Segundo yard? Please respond cuz I really want know if it’s worth going
I'm not sure if this is still accurate, but a few years ago, it used to be that the UP El Segundo Switcher would go to El Segundo two or three days a week, usually heading back east sometime around noon.
The Torrance Switcher works Monday through Friday, but they don't go to all of the industries every day. For instance, it seems like they go to Conoco every day, Crenshaw lumber almost every day, and US Gypsum about twice a week.
The Torrance Switcher works Monday - Friday. They originate at Fourth Street Yard in downtown Los Angeles, and then head south to switch various industries. For a long time, they started in the morning, but recently they've haven't been starting until the afternoon -- I'm not sure if the change is temporary or permanent. How far they go before heading back to LA depends on which industries they are switching on that particular day. They pretty much always switch Conoco in Gardena. Most days they also go to the Crenshaw Lumber Yard further south in Gardena. On some days, they head further south to switch Jones Chemicals and/or US Gypsum in Torrance.
