Why does this NOT surprise me. I’m a movie theater lover for life like you Cris. The screen, the surround sound, the smell of popcorn, being there opening night for a blockbuster with a full crowd. Nothing like it! So sad that people like this gotta ruin it for the 1/3 of us left that treasure the theater expierience.
i’m a moviegoer and i love going to the theaters! yes some accidents that happen sometimes but it doesn’t happen all the time. movie streaming is killing our physical media and movie theaters

The breaking point for me is when I went to go see The Batman. This is how I feel going ANYWHERE! I only leave home when I have to work, go to the dentist, or buy groceries. People are mean, can't even go out shopping without the fear of getting shot. Thankfully in today's world you have less of a reason than ever to leave home with digital streaming, door dash, etc.
These studios are the ones that created a market that has made going to the theaters less optimal and passively supports people to watch everything on streaming. Couple that with rising ticket and concession prices, the result shouldn't be surprising.
I love going to the movie theaters alot. The atmosphere with the scent of freshly popped popcorn, even eating the popcorn too. Also the big screen(Especially RPX, IMAX, or 4DX) with the surround sound can do a movie justice and make it so intense, sure there's streaming for movies like Madame Web for example but for movies like Godzilla x Kong The New Empire for example, that HAS to be seen in theaters.
Last notable time I went to theaters I was sitting next to a guy in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and this huge Hunger Games buff was sitting next to me and needing out the whole time 😭
If I had an at home theater, with seats and a nice big screen in a dark room I would fs rather being home. But there is something about the “theater experience” that is so amazing to me
I stopped going to the movies after my last experience where I was seeing a horror movie, and a family with at least 5 or 6 kids walk in 5 minutes into the movie. Spent the entire movie struggling to hear and pay attention to the movie over the sound if the kids running around, talking non-stop. After that I was like "yeah, never again" at least at home I can relax, peace and quiet, can pause if I need to use the restroom, etc.
I think most people think it’s better because they didn’t experience An Infinity War, or an Oppenheimer on the big screen. Seeing them again on a small screen just doesnt hit the same as the time i seen it in cinema.
I don't care who you are. If you're gonna be on your phone during a movie, just STAY HOME. I've asked people to keep quite because they're distracticting, and I've asked people to put their phones away. Most of the time people understand, and other times you realize that the theater let underage kids into a rated R movie. People suck.

I also have been to big movies like endgame and Oppenheimer where the theatre is packed and I may be in the minority here but I’m so glad my theatres are quiet and not clapping or cheering like some do on opening night
I do have issues with random people with their Kids because their kids could be screaming or kicking your seat from behind. Sometimes movie fans getting excited is a fun thing But most of the time it could come across as annoying because you are just trying to enjoy the movie and they yell just the randomness things while your trying to listen to the movie.
