Metal is just too broad to just throw that around imo. Slugdge’s album last year has some of the best riffs I’ve ever heard, from track to track, and the filthiest breakdowns. They aren’t the best band in metal. But Esoteric Malacology was easily the best metal album last year lol. Point is, Periphery just released a great album, Soen, Dream Theater, Evergrey had strong outings this year!

mattdemon dude this song sounds great in my car with my low and high pass filters, although i had to turn the sub down to a minimum, but it also sounds incredible on my sennheiser hd6XX headphones here too. This will surely be the first album i play on my audiophile speakers when i get them soon. The mix on this album is absolutely out of this world, each instrument comes through with such punch and nothing is drowned out or muddy, its absolutely phenomenal
This album and Whitechapel's The Valley is about to make 2019 of the best years on record for music. Holy shit the last 2 singles have been AMAZING! I can't wait to see ATB in Austin.
Two great releases! I have listened to all of their other albums and I am a big fan of "Wolves Within" I really like how melodic that album is. Fan of all of their work as well. I am def. excited for this new album. Really one of my favorite bands!
