10/10 for me. Everything about All Of My Love is just so perfectly put together, like an exquisite jigsaw puzzle. And once again, somehow Bonzo finds a way to be an absolute beast on the drums, even in a really pulled back song like this. Another great example of that is When the Levee Breaks from their fourth album (the "Rune" album). I love Robert's voice on this as well, and knowing that he wrote it for his little boy who had recently passed away always makes my allergies want to act up. It's such a beautiful song.
Great and honest reaction!, 😃 this sounds kinda like a cheesy love song, but it's actually a tribute to Robert Plant's son, 😢who died at a very young age. I noticed that when people became more aware of this, the song became more popular. Thank you! Peace! ☮
Karac was 5 and passed sway from a stomach virus while Robert and Zeppelin were on Tour in 1977.... Robert wrote this song for him.. it's beautiful !!!!! Wonderful tribute !
I can really appreciate it when a reacted says they don’t like something that much. Way too many of them just automatically say stuff is just awesome, incredible, great, as though they’re afraid to insult their fans.
I agree!!! It's sickening to see so many reacters just say whatever it is they think their audience wants to hear... A bunch of parasitic, low-life losers!!!!!!!
"To chase a feather in the wind...", The feather is a reference to Plant's son, Karac, that passed away at a very young age and the song is speaking to his wife about moving past this. You may note, a great deal of Zeppelin art deals with 4 symbols picked by the band members. One is a feather contained within a circle, chosen by Robert Plant.
10/10 for me. This is a brilliant song and shows the depth of the band and evolution. And it showcases those synths To be honest, there's a half-dozen, maybe 8 of their songs that I'd rate 10/10... that just deliver everything I am looking for. It's okay to disagree... if we all agreed on everything, we'd only have one song we'd ever listen to... so I really do respect your honesty and where you are coming from. And it's great to hear John Paul Jones, so often pushed to the background when it came to synth/string arrangements, etc.... have that awesome solo. Same reason I loved Geddy hit the synths in Rush too. Jimmy is restrained but eloquent and perfectly supports the song while Bonzo just does what he does best, pounding through the beat keeping it all anchored. Plants voice and lyrics are as haunting and infectious as ever. Play it again a few times especially against something like Good Times Bad Times, Black Dog and Kashmir and it just kind of rounds out a Led Zeppelin journey imho.
Considering that any band will change thier style and direction they move throughout thier career... Led zep definitely makes.songs that are amazing and listenable and interesting. Every single song has been analized and picked apart for decades now...and there is a reason for that...cause they are all masterpieces ....same as beatles songs....rolling stone songs...who songs....etc. british invasion at its best. Great job on the reaction...truthful and expected from 2 young new music lovers just discovering new hits. We werent lucky like you two to get all of classic rocks songs at our fingertips...we had to wait years/decades for them. So we appreciated each and every single song way more i think.
i grew up when Led Zeppelin was on tour I never think to rate songs but for song that I will listen over and over is Hot dog, Over hills and far away I would put head phones on get my Bong and listen a whole side of an Album and watch tv at the same time I even learned to play over hills and far away and Stair way to heaven
Great song on what was their last studio album, they had their mojo to the end. She should hear I'm Gonna Crawl with you from the same album, another great, slow blues that simmers and has Zeppelin greatness once again. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
All my love is possibly Zeppelin's most pop song. Robert wrote a letter full of meaning, sentimental and emotional, it was his state of mind and of. Karac (feather in the wind) had died a little over a year ago... Bonzo and Page almost showed him around the studio. The entire Album was recorded in three weeks. They did what they can with their state of mind. In reality they were all very touched already for one reason or another. Understanding all this I give it a 8.
No.1 Led Zeppelin is not laid-back music generally speaking, the band have slow songs or ballets, but most of their songs are high energy!!! And secondly, ❤ this song is about his son who died a young age and not about a woman. Now you can make about your personal situation or state of mind, but it's about his son who died.
Robert wrote this song about & for his 5 year old son who died from a stomach virus. Zep was here touring T he shows for the rest of the tour came to an abrupt halt. Plant, his very best mate John Henry Bonham flew back to England. Bonham was by Plants side every step of the way. Jimmy not JPJ went to his sons funeral. Jimmy said he was giving Robert space. JPJ was on holiday with his family. My heart breaks terribly for Percy….7/26/77 his son dies….9/25/80 his best friend since childhood. Fly high Bonzo…..Rest easy Karac Pendragon Plant (derived from the Welsh) I give this song a 10 because of the backstory and you can hear the heartbreak in Robert’s voice. ☮️🏴❤️🎤🦁 easy
A few commenters need to lay off Alivia. People essentially saying "she don't like a song I like, so she's a big dummy..." is childish nonsense. People complain about reactors not being honest and then complain when they are. She's entitled to her opinion as much as anyone else, and at least she's thoughtful about it. Music has objective qualities, but is largely a matter of taste, and everyone's taste is different, as well as the way they approach and hear music. And that is perfectly fine. While the backstory is indeed touching, that doesn't mean anyone is required to like the song, or that it is above any criticism. I personally like it a lot, but the fact that some people don't doesn't bother me in the least, because I'm an adult.
As the story goes, Page and Bonham were not in good shape during this era and didn't have as much input into this album compared to previous ones. Plant and Jones took over and their tastes and ideas dominated the content. I feel like some of the songs on this one reflect in the solo work Plant did right after Zeppelin broke up.
I’ve always liked this song, I’d give it a 7, like Silas. This maybe the most divisive song of the Zeppelin catalog, though. Alivia, you’re not alone in not liking it. Robert Plant wrote this as a tribute to his son who died at age five. Jimmy Page only agreed to do it for that reason.
This song isn't about the Plant's son Karac who passed at seven. It's about Robert's commitment to his wife too move forward, part of his healing from the depression and isolation he suffered from the loss of their son.
Sometimes it's not good if you don't know too much background of a song because it destroys your own images. But here it is just too necessary, LZ played it live in 1979.👍
This song is about his son Karac, in any moments of the lyric you can listen All my love, Child. All album, basically, except Hot Dog, was writing and composing for Robert Y Joncey. Robert write this song, Page have no time, no aptitude, he was not in the mood to made songs, and this song in particularly. He did not want to play it in the concerts. Paul Jones made a great work for Robert,s lyric. Is beautiful.....
This was like a real 'line in the sand' for LZ. I've always liked the song. I remember hearing it as a little kid, and not knowing anything about it (no internet) it just sounded like a nice song. Many years later I learned what it was about. He wrote another song for his son called 'I Believe'.
I've had all the Zep albums since I was about y'alls age & sometimes I forget how great some of these songs are. I guess that's why I love reaction videos. And come on Alivia . . . This is a 10/10 tune . . . . Ok we still loves ya . . .
Alivia is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love her personality, and especially her honesty (It's easy to give in to what's popular). No person, regardless of "WHATever or WHOever it is they're listening to, is going to like EVERY single thing they hear, from... ANYHONEll! She's a real person, with a real, genuine opinion. Don't be unnecessarily difficult either, but most of all don't follow the new societal trend of falling into line and agreeing with the masses on whatever it is that's currently popular. With whatever it is, s song, a film, a book, an idea or a political ideology, take the time to truly evaluate it according to the experience you've gained throughout your life, as well as the natural intelligence you were blessed with at birth.😉
I agree with you. There's too many great, great Zeppelin songs. I really like this song, but if I was ranking Zeppelin songs, this might crack the top 40.
What a great love song from a band known for their heavier sounds! The synth solo can be sung or hummed to, very memorable! They still push the heavy sound in the instrumental section. Jimmy Page was a magician and like all good magicians was always looking for modifications and tools to create the aural magic. The B-Bender is used extensively throughout the song especially near 5 min. mark of your review. What is a B-Bender? It was an intricately cool mechanical device (and very rare) carved into the back of the guitar and was connected to the front guitar strap button and to the 2nd string, the "B" string. By pushing down on the guitar body while playing the string was "bent" creating the really nice guitar sound that mimics a pedal steel guitar used in a lot of country music but not limited to country. A sweeter love song is hard to find.
In Through The Outdoor was the last album Led Zeppelin did before their drummer died. It did depart from their typical sound though. As far as All Of My Love goes, it is the best song on the album for me. Partial because I know that Robert wrote the lyrics in memory of losing his young boy to a virus. I rate it a 8.
The only Led Zeppelin songs that are below 6/10 are a few they never put on an album. I would give this a 7/10 for the lyrics alone. It's a message of commitment to his wife and the feather in the wind is the young son they lost. Silas, I wouldn't play "Annie's Song" by John Denver for Alivia. Although there is no synth. It's a song he wrote to his wife during a difficult time. Thanks Silas! ✌
5 out of 10 for me. That's on the Zeppelin scale. Overall, in the history of music? I'll say 7 out of 10. Because it is a tribute to his son who passed away, it has extra power for me. I can romantically love a woman and be crazy about her, but nothing compares to the love you feel for your children.
Though everyone is undeniably on their game, and the backstory is profoundly moving, I've always thought anyone listening to the first couple of minutes of this song might pass on it, would it not be for having to exert the effort to lift the stylus from the record. It's simple structure, slow pace and predictable sentiment make it feel a little pedestrian to me, filler even, rather too soft for the average LZ fan. It's the unorthodox instrumentation that elevates it for me. Jones' synthesiser solo takes it to another level entirely, and renders it an instant classic.
hey alivias back cool great to see ya , dont agree with your analogy darlin on this one but we cant win em all huh love ya anyway , keep rockin silas . yawl need react and check out together a band from the eighties that has zep sound and are truly awesome . plz check out kingdom come what love can be ! think you will love it yawl keep doin what your doin and have a awesome week
I appreciate the young lady's honesty. Violently disagree with it... but appreciate it nonetheless. I'd give this an eight out of 10 in the Led Zeppelin catalog. Rumor has it that in the latter years Jimmy Page began suffering from arthritis in his fingers giving him less dexterity on the guitar. Thus you hear more orchestration keyboards and such in these later arrangements.
Other than Kashmir, this is probably my favorite Zeppelin song. Always has been. Songs like Black Dog and Rock and Roll are the ones that are overrated in my book;)
I kind of agree with her on this this is not one of the best Zeppelin songs. I probably heard it a thousand times just from listening to the radio for the last 40 years. So I know it inside out. But if it came on in the car I would definitely change it.
Silas, you will find out later in life that when a woman offers an opinion, that's it. Her opinion will now become "The opinion" of everyone including you. haha No use arguing the point, you're wrong! haha
10/10 for me. Everything about All Of My Love is just so perfectly put together, like an exquisite jigsaw puzzle. My allergies have kicked in as well
What about Merle Haggard?
Great and honest reaction!, 😃 this sounds kinda like a cheesy love song, but it's actually a tribute to Robert Plant's son, 😢who died at a very young age. I noticed that when people became more aware of this, the song became more popular. Thank you! Peace! ☮
If I’m not mistaken, this song was written by Robert Plant that lost his son when he was young
Now don't you feel guilty Olivia? 😏
You are correct.
Yes
His son
Karac died of glandular fever at 5. This was for him.
Karac was 5 and passed sway from a stomach virus while Robert and Zeppelin were on Tour in 1977.... Robert wrote this song for him.. it's beautiful !!!!!
Wonderful tribute !
Led Zepelin, simply brilliant!
Wow...couldn't even watch...appreciate your reaction Silas, you don't compare LZ against themselves..there music just is, this is an iconic LZ song
The GOATS!!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Don't mistake. This is a man singing about the death of his son. A beautiful tribute.
Definitely remember when this was on the radio. Such great music.
For me its also 10/10 and always was. You can put all of your love in it and let go ❤
This is a gem. Don't underestimate this song! It's beautiful. ❤ This is in its own right a solid 8.
I’m a drummer and this album is one of my fav to play!! Thanks for the video!!!
What??? Neil Peart isn't on this album!!!
Nothing was said about Neil peart??!Mate this is a led zeppelin song. Where did u get Neil peart from??
10/10 for me. This is a brilliant song and shows the depth of the band and evolution. And it showcases those synths To be honest, there's a half-dozen, maybe 8 of their songs that I'd rate 10/10... that just deliver everything I am looking for. This is a very emotional song. I would give it a 9 just for emotion.
Considering that any band will change thier style and direction they move throughout thier career...

Objectively a top 10 Zep song for me, and that's really saying something. I've always loved it.
The message is a strong one and well worth writing about 10/10 for me Keep the lyrics in your heart
Most people think it's a love song to a girl but it's actually a tribute to his 5 year old son that died
i grew up when Led Zeppelin was on tour I never think to rate songs but for song that I will listen over and over is Hot dog, Over hills and far away I would put head phones on get my Bong and listen a whole side of an Album and watch tv at the same time I even learned to play over hills and far away and Stair way to heaven
This is the only Led Zep album I got the pleasure of hearing brand new. Before 1979, I was too young to appreciate music
Great song on what was their last studio album, they had their mojo to the end. She should hear I'm Gonna Crawl with you from the same album, another great, slow blues that simmers and has Zeppelin greatness once again. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

10/10 for me. One of my favorites for sure.
Beautiful song Robert wrote about his 5 year old son who passed away.
It's such a perfect song
Love me some led.
This song was one that always grew on me.
Beautiful tribute. Taken in contexts, a thing of beauty
It was a 10 to almost all teenage girls in it’s day. Even those that hated Led Zeppelin loved this song.
John Paul Jones fantastic as always!!! Each song is a poem and a poem can never be compared with another!
Thank you for your honesty. Really! Good song. Probably one of their most commercial songs, but not their best by far.
As the story goes, Page and Bonham were not in good shape during this era and didn't have as much input into this album compared to previous ones. Love your reacton to good music hope you are enjoy this good music
"Hot Dog" is on the same album as this song and is Zeppelin Does Country Music.
She should have watched the video and known that he is singing about his deceased son. It strikes you deeper. This is probably zeppelins top 6 song.
Myself, I prefer solo Silas reactions... when it comes to Rock, most chicks are buzz kills. Remember ladies, I said most chicks, not all. 😎

I agree with you. There's too many great, great Zeppelin songs. I really like this song, but if I was ranking Zeppelin songs, this might crack the top 40.
I think she would like Roberts solo stuff better. In the Mood or Big Log, maybe Sea of Love. Burning Down One Side and Slow Dancer are FIRE.
@Extracaliber I doubt it. In Through the Out Door is pure Gorgonzola, and Plant’s early solo material ain’t no Gouda.
I love those songs
In the last few years Robert Plant has done a few albums with bluegrass/country singer Allison Krause. They sound so good together.
What a great love song from a band known for their heavier sounds! The synth solo can be sung or hummed to, very memorable! They still push the heavy sound in the instrumental section. 10/10
With Robert Plant missing his small son, Karac, poignant. Wonderful solo by John Paul Jones.

All My Love & D'yer Mak'er are similar great vibe.
You gotta do these reactions by yourself. You really enjoyed it. She's a buzz kill
No doubt. buzz killer all day long
Lol
Tribute to Plant's young son who died while he was on tour. This is not your typical love song.
Alivia, the song you were trying to think of is Going To California.
I think JPJ wrote a lot of this album, that's why it's different
Okay, Alivia's fired. lol
😄
In Through The Outdoor was the last album Led Zeppelin did before their drummer died. It did depart from their typical sound though. As far as All Of My Love goes, it is the best song on the album for me. Partial because I know that Robert wrote the lyrics in memory of losing his young boy to a virus. I rate it a 8.

It's a song he wrote to his wife during a difficult time. Thanks Silas! ✌
Plant and Jones almost did this whole album... Bonzo was a drunk by now and Page was deep in heroine addiction
The next song is the best on the album, imo.
If Alivia doesn't like this, she SHOULD like " fool in the rain" from the same album
R.I.P Karac Plant 🙏
love this song and yet it is sad when you learn the background of it!
I get Alivia's rating although I rate it higher especially knowing the backstory. 7ish
My roommate in college used to put this song on when he was trying to get with a girl.
You gotta gotta gotta do CODA!
This I believe is the only zeppelin song Jimmy Page has no writing credit on.
The Doors -Touch Me
Class 😎🤌
Hey at least shes honest. Im 62 years old and was never really into this song either.
I pretty much agree with Olivia on this song. I give it 6 out of 10. This last album the least strong of Zeps eight albums.
10/10.
Love is definitely blind.
Edit: Jimmy using his Tele with a b-bender to get that bent note sound
I give it a 6.
silas face when she didn't like it LMAO
I be brought up up on listen to heavy metal
This song I rate it "a 7"
I appreciate the young lady's honesty.
8/10!
Romance? My lady and I love Bron-Y-Aur .❤
Darlene off of coda!!
Its good to research a song before you listen. A love song for sure. Seriously, lose the baggage. She looks as about as fun as a root canal.😎😎😎
Okay, send her home again.....
Other than Kashmir, this is probably my favorite Zeppelin song. Always has been. Songs like Black Dog and Rock and Roll are the ones that are overrated in my book;)
Alivia is too busy analyzing to let the music take her like Silas wont to do.
Hi Alicia! LTNS!
Alivia! Danged auto correct
This one is a ballad and not one of my favs. But Bonham still sounds great on drums.
I kind of agree with her on this this is not one of the best Zeppelin songs. I probably heard it a thousand times just from listening to the radio for the last 40 years. So I know it inside out. But if it came on in the car I would definitely change it.
Very sad song

Silas, you will find out later in life that when a woman offers an opinion, that's it. Her opinion will now become "The opinion" of everyone including you. haha No use arguing the point, you're wrong! haha
Lol, true. "You are so right dear"
