I have lived in Sarasota 40 years and Bradenton has always been a sewer , the thing today is , that the entire state of FL has become corrupt and crimes are increasing . Just this week , Sarasota had two shootings. I do not like what FL has become and it's getting worse

I thought about moving out there in March when I visited. So sad. A lot of people I know from Melbourne are from Sarasota and Bradenton and everyone told me it was an amazing area to live. So sad. I think Bradenton is a beautiful city and it was a lot of fun to drive around it, but after watching your videos and doing my research, it's no longer a city in Florida I will consider relocating to. Even being out there, people drove like maniacs on highway 41, and pedestrians seemed to have no problem walking or biking out into the streets when they don't even have right of way. The outskirts or somewhere in Sarasota would be much more preferable.
I lived in Bradenton for 18 years.Moved away in 2005 Sad to see how low it has gotten It always had its rough areas , and of course drug problems and such, but not to this degree So many destitute people, this is cause by the poor economy ,and the Police having their authority pulled away to the point its just shameful is allowing drugs and other crime to just overwhelm the community

Bradenton USED to be nice. Until the early 2000s, it wasn't a bad place to live. The amount of vacant commercial properties anymore really show the decline of the city. The criminal justice system wasn't as soft. I used to give to the homeless in the area but don't anymore because majority of them aren't interested in food or work. They just want money to buy more...well you know. And if you say no you aren't giving them money, they get mad and yell at you.

I just moved to the new apartments on 14th st off 9th in Bradenton from the Tampa area and I’m slowly starting to regret it. I didn’t realize how dangerous it was around here I don’t even feel comfortable going out alone being pregnant
Wow I'm from Bradenton and grew up off of 55th Ave W. When you said you were at SR41 and SR 70 (53 Ave W) I didn't recognize anything that you filmed. Only a couple of businesses I have seen as you drove by. I left in 94 I came back to visit once in 2004 and then I didn't recognize a few parts of town then. They widened a lot of roads and have grown so much it is crazy. Bradenton in the 80s used to be slow and wide spread out. The atmosphere was like 20 years behind the times and everyone pretty much knew everyone. A nice community. I can't believe it. I was recently thinking of moving to Ellenton. Gee IDK know.
Ellenton is a crap hole. Complete traffic gridlock specially in winter. Literally might improve when they finish the bridges but for now living there is a nightmare. Parrish and palmetto are the new ghettos, surround by bad areas.

I've recently spent some time homeless in Bradenton I actually remember the first guy you interviewed he's always hanging out by the downtown bus station picking up cigarette butts I would frequently give him smokes and chat with him for a bit when I was there waiting on busses he's a bit off but he's decent enough people just been delt a shit hand like a lot of us Bradenton is fairly chill as long as you mind your own business and arent stupid enough to get caught up in the dope world many of the homeless down there are everyday people not to far from where most of us would be if we just missed a couple paydays so stay humble because it could be you one day

From Bradenton to Venice on 41 is the worst stretch for accidents and all car insurance in those zip codes is higher.
