I totally would've been scared when it got super loud! That's CRAZY! Thanks God for the architect that decided to use strong glass up there and not some cheap stuff!

I love how people continue to walk nonchalantly under the window during the insane part of the hailstorm. It's like, "hey! 50 feet above you some huge panes of glass are getting wailed on! Move out from underneath, you dodo! For your health!"

  • @Jasonartz

Dude, that was insane! I bet everyone in that mall was freakin out! And you cell phone camcorder quality is superb compared to other cell phone vids I've seen on youtube!

Scary! Sometimes calming winds can be an indicator of an approaching tornado so its best to stay on guard.

I'm old enough to remember when the mall was open air. No place to hide except the stores and no parking garage. It had a unique atmosphere back then that cannot be duplicated. It was especially nice walking there at Christmas and in the snow. They also had a nice Hickory Farms store with plenty of samples. Its still a nice mall and Steve at Chicl-fil-a is nice.

The glass is pretty thick. I'd be willing to bet that you could jump on it and it wouldn't shatter

The noise generated by hail noise reminded me that had the Mega Earthquake 8.8 Richter Scale I lived in Chile in February 27, 2010.

I live two blocks south and was TERRIFIED around 4:00 on this video. That's when my windows started blowing out. I seriously thought it was going to come through the roof.

  • @sritger

Wow...that was insane! The noise must have been deafening. I guess those skylight windows are pretty thick so they can withstand even the worst hail bombardment. Just another Spring in tornado alley...

This is crazy, not even close to this kind of weather here in Norway! Very, very scary.. And that noise..... Done some vacation in Orlando, but there we only seen some serious thunderstorms, but no hail....

In my worst case severe weather scenario for the Southern Plains, and the main body of Oklahoma City I explained that before the WORST CASE TORNADO we would experience destructive hail from baseball to grapefruit size (6 inches), and extremely heavy rain then the final assault from the WORST CASE TORNADO. Well here is the best visual illustration of what the weather might, or probably be like before the WORST CASE TORNADO approaches then rampages through the main body of Oklahoma City. This is the best visual and audio visualization of what the e weather will be like right before the worst case tornado ravages and rampages through the main body of Oklahoma City. When that hail and rain slacks off then immediately you would begin to hear the immense horrid roar and rumbling sound as the giant black wedge EF5 tornado won't be too far behind like 1 or 2 minutes. When the TORNADO EMERGENCY gets issued for Oklahoma County and that hail, and heavy rain is going on and or where the tornado track is and where the sirens are being activated, because they will only sound where the actual track is then at that time everybody needs to be either underground in a shelter, basement, or a safe room.

Their is a Lexan film coating applied over glass like window tint that protects the glass from breaking.
    Great stuff.

I can't figure out why more people weren't taking shelter during this - and even more surprised that the security guard (who's briefly visible) wasn't working to get people out of the open mall, away from the roof and skylights which could very easily have been broken.
I suspect a lot of these people eventually discovered their cars had been pummeled and busted up - unless this mall has covered parking.

the hailstorm that came through yesterday evening May 29, 2012 had a true testament to how weather wise oklahomans and texans are to severe weather. At the fairgrounds, a horse show was going on and the storms came in. While people from Ohio and New York were freaking out because of some hail, the ones from oklahoma and texas were sitting there laughing at how pitiful the newcomers were.

@MegaJoker808 never heard of Nostradamus have ya? everything he predicted happened while everything the bible predicted hasn't come to pass. He predicted the 2 Words Wars, He predicted 9/11, he predicted every major war outside of the 2 WWs, he saw the rising up of America and the fall of the British empire to its current status, in short everything he has said has happened and I think he only had 2 more predictions after 9/11 1 being 2012 and 2069

@dwaynbob "your religion has caused the deaths of millions of people throughout history" and your sins caused the death of our Savior. But so did mine and everyone else that is on here rejecting God. You people need to wake up and repent. God can save you all from His judgement (wrath) and the spiritual death you all will experience if you don't stop denying and rejecting Him. You guys really don't realize what's waiting for you...ETERNAL LIFE IN JESUS! Just believe and give Him your heart.

@MegaJoker808 since we are supposedly a free open minded ppl I want evidence that links jesus to an actual vessel or remains that would somehow prove his existence on this planet what about his mother or fathers remains what of those? if they existed shouldnt there be some sorta protected burial ground for his parents and his followers? yet no such site is known to exist and most names used in the bible are english names and one is of spanish origin which to me makes allot of sense seiing that
