I'm very senior Mechanical engineer. I interview many BTech, MTechs every year. Their education is very bad. Many don't even know the differance between welding machine & milling machine to give an example.😢

If you want to be unemployed take mechanical engineering. Unless you are from IIT or NIT, don't take Mechanical. Even in NIT, IIT, mechanical engineers ultimately end up in CS companies.

Mechanical mein haal ke saalon mein sirf experience walon ke jagah mil Rahi hai. Agar apke father ya, koi Jaan pahchaan ka koi company mein hai to mil jayega job.
Competition mein bhi maar hai. 10-15 seat, kabhi kabhi to hadd ho jaati hai 1 seat ke liye 50,000 - 1,00,000 log maar karte hain.

It was all based on project location. I was working at Palam airport adjacent to IGI airport New Delhi. If you ever go there, you will see all the ramp [80%] and portal gate [those structures which contain TV which showing flight status] were cladded under my supervision.

Just switch to CS bro. Why waste studying mountain of a course only to find job not satisfactory and switch to IT/CS field ?
Mechanical may get placed in NIT or IIT. But tell me, do they represent a common engineer from a common college ? No. Companies won't even come to your college. You will be unemployed. Even in NIT, IIT, mechanical Engineers ultimately end up in CS companies.

I want to go for tech placement and my jee mains rank is 26k so i will get CSE in lower NITs like Srinagar but i have heard it is better to join good NIT's with lower branch bcoz the coding culture of lower NIT's is not that good.
1) Which will be better MNNIT Allahabad Mechanical vs MNIT Jaipur Electrical vs NIT Kurukshetra Electrical?
2) Does electrical branch provide any edge over core branches like mech and civil for on campus TECH placement?
3) Do Tech company allow students of electrical, mech, civil to sit in their placement?
Go with mnit Jaipur , some mnc companies allow to sit campus placement.. if you have good skills then u got good package at mnc companies..

Hi, it was very good interactive session, the questions that were arising as the video was progressing were aptly asked and answered; one question I have was (1) how the student managed to prepare for tech whether thru UA-cam or any online courses and (2) if he could have referred online portals would have been helpful

Mechanical Engineering. Seriously. A lot of students including me waste their academic time in preparing entirely different things. Instead in the beginning years you should focus on getting your foot strong in your course. Revise and rerevise your courses. Study every thing first according to GATE standard. Then in free time, you can learn extra stuff that MIT, Harvard teaches. Do courses in thirdish year. Because in the beginning years you won't have time to wander if you are honest in your preparation.
And one thing, focus on fundamentals.
