- We are back out on a club dig on this one. The glorious fields of Kent once again produced a beautiful few bits of history and a gorgeous SAXON was unearthed!
We raised over £150 for our charities so big thanks to everyone who attended and also those who participated in the vid 👍🙏

Thanks for the vid. Bit of trivia for you - his name was actually 'Aethelred the Unread', which means 'Without Council.' The Unready thing was the Victorians changing his name because they thought it sounded better in their picture books, where they could say that he was 'unready' for the Vikings. The love token will most likely be a milled sixpence, they usually were. See you at the next club meeting - Clarky.
