- puran milan was made in 1940 by Bombay Talkies starring kishore shahu,snehprabha pradhan,anjali devi,mumtaz ali (father of actor mahmood),shah nawaz,pithawala & music was directed by ramchandra pal. Watch the graceful movements of sneh prabha's hand when she is dancing.
Snehaprabha was a great actress and singer. She was very talented and beautiful

I have the record. It says Miss. Pradhan. That means Snehprabha. The whole sound trck was ruled by Snheprabha and Raj Kumari in thiz film. Arun Kumar was the male singer in this film. No doubt this was originally sung by Snehprabha. She sang many songs to Khemchand praksash too such as Pardesi (1941) and so on.

Actually the name of the movie is Punarmilan in devanagari "पुनर्मिलन" a sanskrut word.

Great Film & song. I think Kavi Pradeep, the Nationalistic poet, knew that the present generation is going to miss this culture and fight with each other at that time itself and expressed this in his song "Dekh teri sansar ki halat kya ho gayi bhagwan, kitna badal gaya insan".
His song 'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo" sung by Lataji brought tears from Panditji's eyes.

The voice does not seem to be Parul Ghosh at all. In fact, my mother used to hum this tune. She said it was Snehaprabha Pradhan. God Knows.
