One thing is it doesn't matter who gets what you all can work very well as team when it comes to lifting something heavy out ( motorbikes some trollies or safes) WELL DONE NIGEL & DAN & EVERYONE involved in help in trying to get some deceny back to the waterways & having some fun aswell to pass the time. 😁😀😉👍👏👏👏👏👏
The council should provide the youth with magnets, cameras and hooks, cash in on the scrap metal and the canals are cleaned as well. Win-win-win!

the large trolley with small wheels and the wooden frame is a porters trolley used by the railway for moving luggage around back in the 1960,s
What do you do with the things that you bring up? Like the motorbikes.

Cracking video boys,,I think the best find was the old warehouse wooden hand cart,that was easy over 50-60 years old.!!!,the small pw50 motor bike is also a collectors item and has the original wheels,the original pw50 are like hens teeth to find,and ,that would be a great wee project for someone to build back up again!!

It’s called a Samson! The centre axil is higher or lower than the other two! Capable of carrying very heavy loads! Hence it’s name “Samson”

The mystery dagger at the start of the video belongs to a sword,conan the barbarian sword it was part of the handle .The sword might still be there its over 4ft long and heavy .was sold in the early 90's.
That wooden trolley looks like a luggage trolley tyo me, the local historic railway has tose with suitcases on, sitting on their platforms.

Just how deep are the canals there ? as you pull out so much crap it seems there is hardly room for any boats. That apart its great to see you all having a great day finding "treasures" and having a laugh. It also ocurred to me that if you sold the scrap you could bolster your days out funds, even if it only covers cost of petrol, great vid as ever.

Most magnet fishers would either sell the stuff to the scrap yard, sell it to someone looking to restore or restore stuff themselves.

Why hasnt the city cleaned that out? We always lower our water levels to do repairs and clean out anything that doesnt belong. I guess different areas do different ways

Are the canals the garbage pit for the town, if there all like that they should be drained and cleaned.
Domenic Dalleva no, they are only used as dumping sites by selfish idiots. There are 2000 plus miles of canal in the UK, draining and cleaning them all would cost hundreds of millions of pounds and massively inconvenience boaters, not to mention take years.
I'd like to know what they do with with all that junk, and who cleans up the muddy canal edge. Looks like a lot of fun. I'd love to help or have a go too.
We take all the interesting finds with us. All the scrap is collected by a local scrapman and non metallic rubbish is bagged up and put in a rubbish bin. When we’ve finished we sweep and wash down all the edges and footpaths and leave the area we’ve fished cleaner than when we arrived. It is fun and very addictive. may I ask Where do u live at UK ? As I would like even buy that bikes from you to restore. It's the think I like more i was able to get Honda cub from a canal and did it run in several hours. Would be nice to fix them up

Incredible! The one old trolley may be worth something. Did you check with police about the big motor bike? It could have been used in the commission of a crime.
