im not sure if our interpretations of the word legendary are quite the same. for his guitar solo to be 'legendary' it would need to be worthy of making him a legend which unfortunately it is not.
I love the risks he takes in the second segment of his solo. He’s well outside his zone, and he finds some stuff that sounds exciting! It’s inspiring to a fearful soloist like me!

It’s usually what happens when the lead singer of an old band starts touring solo again when he’s old and gets a really tight backing band, usually sounds nothing like the original band and just sounds super professional.
i think seeing this version of mac - slightly older and more subdued but with the same magic as his beginnings - made me realise he's literally the father of one of the decade's defining genres of music. i hope he's seen this way in years to come
