i was kinda afraid because mr rivera-herrans had a way to sing this song with so much passion that i couldn't even picture someone else could sing it with the same energy and feeling . But this guy, his voice and the way he sing this is so perfect. when i hear him even with this small extra i'm just submerged into it

My favorite thing about this snippet is how into character Steven is. You can literally see the veins in the neck bulging on Poseidon's more aggressive lines, especially during the lead up to the chorus. Yes, part of it might be the strain of hitting the notes, but with the amount of enthusiasm Steven is showing in the booth, it really sells the character and shows in his voice. Also, the diction on the hard consonants! It adds a sharpness and emotion to the lyrics that would have been sorely missed otherwise. 10/10 performance. Well done Steven Rodriguez!
I genuinely feel as if he barely has much strain with hitting those notes mainly because of his song "Shackles" where he just goes off the rails with his vocals. He's absolutely inhuman and there aren't words to describe it.

I love Steven as Poseidon. He really is the perfect pick for the role. I have made a permanent connection between Poseidon and his voice. Its just so good! Similarly Luke fits Zeus perfectly. You just picked the perfect voices for everyone :) You're all incredibly talented (and also man that most be a lot of effort put into getting so much control over your voice)
In my perspective, I kind of understand why Poseidon was angry about Odysseus blinding his son. In that era, medicines weren't as advance as it is now and the damage done by the mortals in their attempt to escape is irreversible. Being blind also means there are challenges in learning new lifestyle and your ability to adapt to it. I think in a twisted way, both Athena , when she told Odysseus to finish what they had started in the song "Remember Them", and Poseidon, seeing the state of his son after the mortals had left, cares and did not want the Cyclop to suffer in darkness for his lifetime.
