OMG I remember that intro from when I was a kid. We weren't allowed to watch TV late at night but my brother and I had a clock radio that we sat between us in the bed with the volume down low so that our mom wouldn't hear it. And we listened to these stories as we drifted off to sleep. That was back in 1972.
Love this one so far! The creepier the better! I also remember these from the 70's, along with literal record albums of Alfred Hitchcock narrating his Alfred Hitchcock Hour stories! I'd sit inside my walk-in closet w/portable record player, for those😆😆
I remember coming back one night from a family trip, and my dad found one on the radio. We were able to listen to most of it before we lost the signal. Good ol' AM radio !
Abstain from all appearances of evil. What Fellowship has dark was lightness. How to make darkness my old friend. secular music knows exactly the state of a sinner I used to listen to these before bed. Now I listen to Dr. Chuck Missler transhumanism. Also study on the angels I try to find CBS Radio Mystery Theater episodes that are not evil are scary. There's only a few. It's funny how there's truth to every one of them from Aliens to technology. We are living in the last days Alva moon and stars and everything are aligned what does second coming of Christ. Dr. Gene Kim Dr Peter Ruckman for anyone who is looking for truth. Listening from Rochester New York a town called Hilton. Only a sinner saved by grace a country girl
Earl Hammond, known to us 80s kids as the voice of Mumm-Ra from Thundercats is in a bunch of these. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe he is the telephone man, in this one.
@@SK-cs5pk I am glad that you're doing better. I have 2 good episodes of CBS radio mystery theater to listen to. The strange case of Lucas Lauder and the death wisher. Let me know what you think after listening to the episodes. From Ms. Harper Stacey.

Better than the tv shows or zombie movies today. Listening to radio, using your creative imagination lost art these days .
Impeccable acting 🎭 👏
And lovable characters and hero's quest
Amen
Like the old quote "In radio the pictures were better."
@@michaelshirley441 definitely haven't watched TV in 2 years
I only listen to radio no TV for me
I love these I'm a kid again in the back of my father's car [49 Chrysler] at night coming back to the Bronx from CT.
Same here. 1974 for me. I was four and can still hear the opening music. Scared me so much. Now though it's just a great childhood memory.
My Dad had a 49 Chevy, good memories!
for me id be coming back from boston to the suburbs and in my.dads 68 firebird
Brings back memories of late night traveling, listening to Mystery Theatre. Love his voice.
In the 1980's i would listen as kid on my stereo late at night. Great memories.
Mom & brother listened to Mystery Theatre. The creeking door used to wake me up & piss me off. Then the voices would lull me back to sleep.
Used to listen to this show in H.S.! Just as good today as it was back in the ‘70’s!

I use to love these shows when I was a kid. My brother too. Lay in bed 🛌 and often go to 💤... 😴.
Luv these mysteries just before bed
A beautiful art that satisfies much more than film, IMHO.
Definitely I don't watch TV at all anymore I haven't for 2 years now
Good old days! I wish I knew my grand pa and grand ma as an older woman.
The best ones of these have creepy houses as the main setting.
Sagamore cottage is another good episode to listen to. It also involves a creepy house. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
I remember a play on words I made when I was only about an 8 year old country boy listening to these.
“The Corn Mcabre.”
