Fun fact of this song is that Tobias originally had the idea that this was a song that his working partners Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir could use for some other artists since they produce a lot of records together. But they convinced Tobias that it actually was a Ghost song and it even became a number one Billboard single.

Ghost music is very clever. You think of them as satanic but in fact there mostly theatrical. The song is about the Black Plague - a theme across the entire Prequelle album - specifically about how people would literally dance and party until they died to cope with the illness
Well believe it or not some people actually have a taste for the strange. It can be dangerous at times but I guess that can add to the appeal almost as long as it only goes so far. Cat in the hat teaches this lesson pretty well actually.
