MAX A REAL ONE !
I love how this is just like a domestic case, when all anyone is looking at is the action, and not what led up to it. Not saying Garrett was any where close to right, but it's obvious Mason started that altercation.
Bs
They were both going at it, just a regular heated scuffle, but once we(well average people who have never seen real violence in their lives) saw Rudolph without his helmet, with that crazy look on his face, and his nose so red, it gave an element of shock value, making it seem worse than it really was, just because it was caught on live tv....Miles ultimately took it way too far....he could have, or should have at least been able to manhandle that dude with his bare hands, but he went and played dirty.....That said, im sure it was the result of being caught off guard by Rudolph actually wanting a piece of him, as most QBs would not be nearly that crazy/stupid to think they could take him out, being much smaller and weaker most of the time, so he reacted without thinking by using the helmet....The helmet aside, if they had kept it clean, it wouldve been no different than fights that break out during practice all the time....The media(big surprise) has blown this totally out of proportion.
And?? What's your point?
No its not obvious.

I'm with Max. If I START a fight and I try to grab a brick and I'm unsuccessful grabbing said brick and the person that I am fighting is able to grab a brick and clocks me with it as I'm charging towards him then that's on me. I should've been able to grab the brick in the first place and if I wasn't successful then I most certainly shouldn't have charged towards the other person who had the brick. This isn't hard, it's fighting 101. Mason should get 2-3 games for starting the fight, Garrett should 6-10 games for the helmet hit and let's move on.
GOOFY
If you can't grab the brick legally you are 'unarmed' and its straight assault if you get beat down
@@thefuzzypickle8277 not if you run up on someone with the intent to continue the fight. Mason wanted smoke. He kept coming. He could've ran away, but he didn't. Bottom line is that he started the fight and they both should be suspended. There is no place for groin kicks with your cleats up and there is no place for swinging a helmet. Garrett should get 10-16 games and Mason should get 2-3. Let's move on.
When people get in their feelings they lose the ability to think. I side with Max on this one. Suspend both players w Garrett getting the bigger punishment
Exactly...it's so clear what needed to happen to BOTH players...if all emotion is removed from it you'll see both players were wrong and should have both been suspended. How Rudolph weaseled out of this one is quite something.
@@supastar25 so Mason gets hit late (which most quatherbacks and ol get mad when they get hit late) and being down 2 touchdowns with only 7 seconds. I see Mason actions as a normal act of a quatherbacks that gets hit after throwing the ball. Bc I bet if u look up videos there will be a ton of quatherbacks trying to protect themselves after getting hit.

Logic says that if you have a helmet in your hand and violently swing it at a guy's head, who is not wearing his helmet, then you are trying to seriously hurt him. I guess you come from the same school of idiocy as Max

How is swinging a hockey stick at a guys head an "in-game action"?
@abc def You seem to have missed the part where I said "at a guys head"
@abc def I or Max didn't say just swinging a stick. He said swinging a stick at a guys head which only happens when a fight breaks out in hockey. Therefore, I don't see it as an in-game action and do not agree with the distinction you're making.
@abc def LOL chillax I get it. But like I said I'm distinguishing "swinging a stick" and "swinging a stick at someones head". In baseball a pitch might go high and in by a guys head which is understandable. At no point in hockey should your stick be swinging by a guys head unless a brawl breaks out so I don't see it as an in game action.
@abc def Again I've agreed with you from the start. You do swing a stick in hockey LOL. Just nowhere even close to someones head and theres no reason too unless youre fighting which clearly isnt part of the game
@abc def so youd rather get hit in the head with a baseball goin 90, than have someone swinging a football helmet at you, while youve got 3 other 300 pound teammates right next to you ready to jump in and defend you? ...ok then.

Peter Nunez Rudolph did nothing regardless. He’s not tough, he didn’t take care of business. He threw 4 picks that game, he’s been terrible all year. Rudolph acts like a tough guy when he isn’t.

You're ignoring the part where a helmet was swung by a big strong professional athlete at another man's naked head - and made full contact.
3 on 1 at start of fight...
@Breon Mitchell I would argue that Garrett started it. He takes a cheap late hit on a QB who had already thrown the ball, and then proceeds to stay on top of him rubbing his head into the ground for the entire duration of the play. Rudolph then trying to get up begins trying to take Garrett's helmet off out of frustration, and the whole thing goes crazy from there. Rudolph is an idiot for pursuing a monster of a man wielding a weapon without a helmet on, but he didn't start the fight.
@abc def Yeah, I agree. I was responding to the other guy who literally said "He started it". Max is also trying to say that in every clip I've seen. It doesn't matter who started it, but if that is the basis of someones argument to try to justify the attempted murder, I would argue that Garret in fact DID start it.
@@chuckchuckerson5364 Please go back and look at the play. Garrett did NOT drive Rudolph's head into the ground. The tackle was not rough and they LANDED ON GARRETT's BACK when they fell. Rudolph went berserk and started trying to rip Garrett's helmet off AND kicked him in the nuts! I totally understand what Kellerman is saying. They could also go by another "what if" in this arguement..... even though it means nothing since it did not happen. But what if Rudolph could have snapped the neck of Miles Garret????? Is he not going to be punished for that.... plus Rudolph did make the incident go further than it needed to by trying to twist the helmet of Miles Garret. It's just that everyone is looking at it like a classic schoolyard fight, all about the final blow and overlooking how it got to that point, beside Mile overpowering Rudolph all game. Every arguement does not need to be one-sided, because (even though it didn't happen) it could have went another way and be just as bad. There are still two sides to this issue.
