I love the calming classical music as I think of the camera as a dude who has really bad luck and gets stuck watching all these buildings crumble.

No... I use Sheep It to do most of my rendering. It's a free render farm. It would take forever for my laptop.

This is why some people are builders and some are animators. Builders connect the individual pieces of materials to each other to make a stronger object when joined properly.

In heavy construction, we must take our orders, within limits of course, but they once sent me up on a man lift on wheels to cover a 20 ftx20ft hole in the side ofa building. If you had been there that day, you would be cured of that fear. The beams on that building were 4ft deep web steel trusses

I can’t stop rewatch this! ^^ so funny destructions! How the structures can be stable before the hurt? I tried to build a keva plans building, it worked but when I start the animation, the second and third stages are collapsing and the structure falls.
Add more friction to the planks, increase the steps per seconds to about 240. Enable "deactivation" and check "start deactivated".

Very impressive destructions! How did you made the camera trembling at 3:10?
Camera must have at least one key frame, I open the graph editor then press N to open the right side menu. I select the key frames axis of the camera(on left) and then add a modifier(right side menu) add modifier(noise). Adjust settings. The noise modifier must be set on each axis independently.

Always starts at a weak point, manmade or natural OR where the explosion starts and fans out from there. Just depends on how it's loaded. Instant detonators at the weakest point or where the shot is meant to go and the delays loaded around it. The the instants go and leave room for the delays to move to. And I'm talking rock, not concrete but the basics are the same.
Yeah, I agree. I have a friend who uses det cord on his jobs and he has explained the workings and timings of it all. The part most people get wrong is the timing. They think if it all blows up at the same time it works best. But when blasting rock, the outer detonation clear out or loosen up the rock so that the center detonations have somewhere to push the rock to.
@@BlenderRookie Sure. You can do anything you need to be done. Bust it up and hump it up in the middle or move it somewhere. Just depends on how much 'mover' you put and where. And to bring down a building you knock out the middle supports first so that it collapses into itself. I thought I'd just throw that in here for added whatever. And prima cord was used for all the pre-split shots against the wall at the quarry.
I always wondered why you see skyscrapers that are only half-collapsed in apocalypse movies. I guess 3:00 explains it.
