How much clear can it be a sign do not touch the horse, people like this just feel they can do anything! And why can’t people wait instead of jumping in front of someone taking a picture. It amazes me how people act no manners or respect!
I think they are blind to anything that says or reads “no”. Though there has been a significant drop on people touching. You now only get a few people doing it.the guards just need to yell once in awhile.
Ich verstehe gar nicht, warum die Menschen immer alles anfassen müssen. Man sollte sie wirklich mal eine Stunde dort hinstellen und sie pausenlos anfassen. Vielleicht geht dann dem einen oder anderem ein Licht auf. 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡

The truth is the guard has been security for the Kings and Queens of Great Britain for hundreds of years, they aren’t there for amusement purposes. But in modern times people are disconnected from that so the King’s guard is amusement.

evert horse and guard are different , some guard will let children near if the horse is in a good mood ,this is why some restrictions are lifted , it is not the fault of horse or guard as there is plenty of warning , and great respect from me to the guards and police

They are Army and these 2 Regiments take it in turns to do Ceremonial duties,the Life Guards( red tunics) Blues & Royals ( navy blue tunics),their real job is driving small Tanks and Recon' vehicles,in conflict's they are the first out, looking and locating where the enemy is,these Regiments lost God knows how meany in both WW'S, KOREA, NTH IRLAND,GULF WAR,and AFGHANISTAN, so please show them some respect ❤

I do not understand people. These officers and horses are active members of the royal guard not some character or a ride at Disney placed for the perfect photo of We all know what a great picture with the tourist giving a thumbs up or the victory sign will be, not.

the horse and guards are not toys . there are military trained and should have the respect due to them , when they move the horse away they do it for a reason, carry on guards and horses
I find the police presence not inspiring, they generally seem a scruffy lot and are slow in keeping the tourists in line. The guards could show them a thing or two about making themselves presentable!

The guardsmen as usual look immaculate. Is there any reason why the civilian police (CIVPOL) can't clean themselves up just a bit? Fore example trim those bloody scruffy overlong beards? A beard seems to be OK these days - but for Chrissake trim them tidily!

the horses are probably familiar with all the guards or the uniforms. the guard and other handlers are safe to the horses.
of course I could be wrong.
These guards feed, groom, muck out and excersise the horses. They are with them most of most days. Why shouldnt they be allowed to fuss them when they go near?

I thought the no touching the horse was a good thing but I think the horse misses the pats and interaction and the odd treat. Can it not be at the guards discretion who may pat the horse. This horse looks so sad. What they need to clamp down on is when groups of people crowd around the entrance of the box. Lots of little children look so disappointed when they are told not to touch the horse. Maybe a queue system could be tried over the winter. instead or something else.
that uniform must be uncomfortable tight in the back like they wear a thong .. the front all slacky .. sure would hate to wear that every day ..
They need to chage those uniforms, they had to be hot to wear and the hats is so inconvenient. And old fashion
