I can’t express how much this game meant to me as a Tennessee fan. Tennessee has been down for a while in football and were traditionally a powerhouse. I was at my mother in law’s house with her, my wife, my parents, and little sister. The whole game was fantastic. We all celebrated and went crazy when he kicked the field goal. We were yelling back and forth with neighbors. It was special.
I'm a 3rd generation Gamecock and my 2 sons make the 4th (my daughter was a typical female and went to Clemson to flip me the bird) and we all celebrated with you... For that SEC EAST pride!
I know how you feel bud. I'm a Michigan fan. We were 2-17 vs Ohio State in the last 20 years. Hadn't won back to back or in Columbus since 2000. When we beat Ohio State in Columbus this year, I was decked out head to toe in Michigan gear. I took my dog for a walk to get some air after celebrating and screaming at the top of my lungs for 10 minutes straight. And I was walking down the road, it was a beautiful sun shiney day, and I was high fiving strangers and hugging neighbors and cars were honking as they drove by waving their fists out the window screaming GO BLUE. I hadn't felt that way since I was 7 years old and I went to the Red Wings Stanley Cup parade. There is NOTHING like beating your rival...
Of the 10 largest stadiums in the world, eight of them are in the United States and each of those eight are home to college football schools: Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Louisiana State, Tennessee, Texas and Alabama - they’re larger than the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Camp Nou and Wembley Stadium, and that alone speaks volumes about how much college football has been engrained in America for over 150 years Go Vols
I am a grown 28 year old male from Tennessee, and this was the best moment of my life. Keep in mind I’m not married and don’t have any kids. However me and my cousin who I hadn’t seen in years watched this game together and cried when the kick went through. College football is only 2nd behind religion in the south. Go Vols.
Well, in the NFL, there’s only one team that when they play away games, the crowd looks like a home crowd. The Pittsburgh Steelers. If you pay attention to the fans in the seats at a Steelers away game, you’ll see equal or more people wearing Pittsburgh colors. If you listen to the cheering, you can hear it too.
I’m not a Tennessee fan, but I like their chant/song. If a Brit was to go to a Tennessee game, you’ll need to learn… “Rocky Top, you’ll always be home sweet home to me. Good old Rock Top, Rocky Top, Tennessee!”
I was there and the crowd didn't start thinning out until after two hours after the game ends. The first goal post didn't get out of the stadium. The north side posts were broken in two and those were carried out of the stadium. The Alabama band stayed put for 2 1/2 hours and then only after the crowd was cleared out they left their seats. You know that some had to piss like race horses. The river is only two blocks away from the stadium.............. enjoy
I was on that field drunker than hell and apart of the goal post getting carried out. I've been to every Tennessee home game since I was 8 and I'm 28 now. Hands down best game I've ever been too!
By the way that goalpost went to the bar in down town Knoxville until 3AM Eastern time ! Then it got dumped in the Tennessee River! As does it always when Tennessee beats Alabama in Knoxville! Fun fact : there is a fraternity that goes down and gets a piece of EVERY goal post !!! Go VOLS !
The song they played at the beginning was a song called “Dixieland delight” it’s a song about the state of Tennessee, written by a band named “Alabama” so it’s always a bit of a contention about who gets to gatekeep the song lol

I'm an Ohio State fan. To be honest, what happens with Tennessee, Alabama, or the rest of the SEC has never really meant much to me. But I watched this game live and I realized... This: this is what I love about college football.
Vols fan here who spent many Saturdays in college (when UT had a road game we didn't want to go to) in Columbus cheering on OSU with our friends up there who lived right off High st. I stopped cheering for you guys for a while cause I thought it was bad how yall play such a soft schedule. Anyway I'm back to always cheering for OSU after this whole Cheatagin scandal has dropped!!
6:25 An English friend of mine & I were talking, he's a West Ham fan, and he was telling me about how fans of the home and opposing teams exit the stadium. I was just LMAO. There are times there are fights, name calling, etc but both teams fans sit together. In both NFL & college there are friends and family members who support different teams, especially in college. I'm a Michigan fan and I have friends who are Michigan State fans and I have friends including a BFF who is an Ohio state fan. Surprisingly, lovely people, LOL. A completely different attitude towards sports.
ou and texas fans not only split a stadium but also spend the rest of the day at the fair surrounding it with little problems, its honestly quite something for a heated rivialy
Definitely seems very very different. It’s not all that uncommon for the away fans sometimes to be kept back inside the stadium to try to avoid any crossover.
Shit, people get shot daily behind college and pro alliances, and as far as I know, NFL football are the only ones to have multiple stadiums with built in jails, courts, judges, etc because of the mayhem.
@@DNReacts Because North American soccer teams & by extension their fans like the old-time traditions, organized fan groups from away teams will be led into a stadium 1st, but there haven't been any brawls between opposing fan bases, unlike Europe & South America. The lone MLS game I attended was when my Portland Timbers went to Vancouver, BC, Canada. No issues there.
The Tennessee stadium is right next to the river. Speaking of tailgating we have something called “Sailgating” where Tennessee fans will bring their boats and park it on the right next to the stadium on game days. One of the best atmospheres seeing a bunch of people tailgating on boats before the game
Tearing down the goal post after a big win a very old college tradition. Before they were made of metal they were made of wood and people would break off a piece for a souvenir.
Tennessee had to replace the goalposts because there were still a couple of home games to play. Since they cost over $100,000 each, they had to resource the funds.
Sometimes when they know the students are about to rush the field, they will unscrew the goal posts so they will just come right down. Instead of the kids just straight up ripping them down which causes alot of damage. It’s also about a million dollar fine the school will have to pay for rushing the field. And ya it’s called storming the field or the court in basketball. We don’t call it the pitch. Lol. Even in soccer we call it the field.
Most fan bases are very civil usually tailgate b4 the game together but hate each other during game but respect one another. There is always idiots but we just love the game GO BIG 🍊
Could you two watch this game? I'm a Tennessee fan, I'm 25 and couldn't remember the last time we beat Bama, it's a great game to watch if you wanna be introduced into CFB.
Although there are bitter rivalries, physical fights are very rare. In the end, the SEC is really like a family. Players may go at each other on the field, but fans even tailgate together before the games. It is called rushing the field and fan incursions onto the field usually carry hefty fines from the conference and the NCAA. For huge victories like this one, boosters will pay those fines.
My freshman year at Pennstate, we beat Alabama and everything was taken down and paraded through the streets, including McDonald’s golden arches. 1991.
I loved every minute of this. We had been waiting for so long. Lol. We are finally coming back to importance. …why the goal post? Well, We won so the Tennessee river demanded a sacrifice. 😂
You questioned if they got the goal posts out of the river. The University took some of the pieces out and cut it up for donors and the fraternities also had their pieces. I actually have a piece of the goal post in my flat as I was a student at the time and got it as a gift from my buddy. There are local videos of the students and fans taking the goal posts down to the river. Awesome game and glad to see you guys reacting to something I experienced first hand! Great video!
Back in the day the goalposts were made of wood. The students would take down the goalposts after beating their rival. My Dad's fraternity has a bunch of pieces of different goalposts from wins over the years.

There’s not many fights in college football crowds and with certain teams that aren’t as good that have trouble selling as many tickets they encourage the opposing fans to come fill the stands
@DNReacts for context Alabama ( the team in the white jerseys ) had this game won until the special teams ( the field goal kicker , the punter and the holder ) kicked a game winning field goal the score was 48-42 with a minute left until the field goal , then coach dobbs ( the university of Tennessee coach in the orange that does the interview after the game ) calls a timeout with literally three tenths of a second remaining , then after the time out josh dobbs ( the university of Tennessee quarterback throws the ball halfway down the field to get blake McGrath ( the field goal kicker ) enough time and enough space to make the field goal and send the first loss of the season to Alabama (2022-2023 season ) , after the game they tore down the goal post and threw that sucker in the tennseee river
I attended the University of Michigan many years ago after a win over Ohio State they pulled down the goal posts. Later that day a couple of guys in my dorm had a large section of the goal post when they returned to the dorm. They spent all night cutting off sections and drinking beer.
The Vols played a game at Bristol Motor Speedway, which is a short track oval, i.e., built like a proper stadium, with a football field in the infield and 157K seats.
College football can be far from friendly lol. Plenty of fights and brawls happen in games like this before and after there’s just so many people they don’t go reported
We call it "rushing the field" or "storming the field." In basketball, replace field with court. Yeah, I haven't been to that many away games in college football but I've never seen away fans being held or let in and out specific entrances. There's one game I went to where we had a large visiting crowd and won the game in overtime and they just let us go wherever. The only instance of visiting fans being treated differently is in MLS and even then that's rare. Here's a good compilation of cell phone footage of the goalposts being taken through Knoxville. ua-cam.com/video/eDUDNj5EvfQ/v-deo.html
The fans in Philadelphia also go crazy. When their MLB team was in the playoffs they had to start greasing the light poles because the fans kept climbing them after every win
I’ve been been to the AlamoBowl where we got free tickets. We went to represent the PAC 12 and you couldn’t get farther into the Big 12 if you tried. We were the only 4 people in that section, if you’re cool with them they’ll be cool with you. Who knew that UK football games were like going to an Oakland Raiders games. For whatever reason baseball here can be the more unfriendly experience in the US. My wife as a 12 yo girl had beer thrown on her for wearing an opposing jersey at a home game in San Francisco.
Home games are a different story...we got yall at our house this year...still doubt we can win because yall are so stacked with 5 stars but i can guarentee it will be a close one cant wait
@@tennisplayer5490 true bama should have beaten us yall yave way more 5 stars but being in our stadium is the reason you lost and your coach why didnt he go for it on 4th down those 2 plays? And he did a terrible job of controlling the time our defence is terrible but our offence set controlled that game we gave yall multiple chances to win and the refs only missed 1 or 2 calls on us but gave it back to yall by calling penalties on us when it was a bama penalty the rest of bamas penalties were like 6 too many men on the feild and tons of not snapping b4 the clock ran out and yall held almost every play like u always do so dont blame the refs yall are known for how many penalties u get but its ok yall got the chance to get us back this year..i dnt wana hear biased refs when bamas refs at home are known for some of the worst calls in history like when the ref seen it wouldnt be a first down then picked the ball up an made it a first down lol
Awesome video! I'm gutted this wasn't the version of the clip that showed them chanting down the street and throwing it into the river but I think you get the idea of how passionate those fans were
At the LSU-Bama game, they had 3 security guards around each goal post (12 total since we use H-style goalposts instead of Y-style) so that if we rushed the field we couldn't take down the posts like this. Also I would very much recommend reacting to that LSU-Bama game from this year.
There’s the stairs near the “away fan section” at beaver stadium (psu) but it’s nothing official. Since the away section is more recommendation and you can sit any where you go out the stairs you find. Funny enough from last years white out (auburn game) some pissed auburn fans that were flipping people off almost got jumped by half the student section.
In College we have an away section, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit there if you’re an away fan. It’s just more preferable to sit around people who are cheering for your team. There is no specific exit for away fans to use. You might get heckled but even that is frowned upon. In the NFL there is no such thing as an away section.
Yeah no separate exits or seating areas for any American sports for opposing fans. You might get some kinda joking heckling on rare instances in an opposing stadium and VERY rarely might get a beer dumped on you if you're being a complete jerk but typically the most you're going to see (and this is even rare) is if the opposing team scores a goal/point/etc and they are sitting next to you with a team jersey on is more of a "yeah that's right!" type thing. You should react to "The Night Osama Bin Laden Was Killed May 1, 2011 Full Feature HD" I'm from Philly and we were playing one of the biggest rivals and by the end of the really long game nobody cared about the game or rivalry or anything
In American sports the HOME team is listed second (Getting into European soccer it seems to be reversed order) you can also tell Home team by which team is in white or dark/colored uniforms, depending on the sport
Watch justin fields highlights. He had one of the best rushing seasons by a quarterback. He had mlre rushing yards than any of his runningbacks and broke the single game rushing record for a QB

Josh Dobbs, I think you went back a little too far.
They did a reaction to this game’s highlights already
You might want to edit some more 😂😂 insert Coach Heupel...Chase McGrath...Hendon Hooker...yw.
I attended the University of Michigan many years ago after a win over Ohio State they pulled down the goal posts. Later that day a couple of guys in my dorm had a large section of the goal post when they returned to the dorm. They spent all night cutting off sections and drinking beer.
This hurt as an Alabama fan but you can only respect 🤷🏽♂️😂
Hey man, letting us have 1 out of 15 isn’t that bad;) lol
The announcer never said anything about South Carolina coming up on the schedule 😆
College football despite all the heated rivalries is muuuch less violent thank Euro soccer rivalries.
This game is now tomorrow. Let’s rip Alabama’s goal post down.
Go Vols!!!
@DNReacts Since y’all love running backs you need to watch Darren McFadden College highlights
Thanks Hunter, have added this one to our list
I’ve been been to the AlamoBowl where we got free tickets. We went to represent the PAC 12 and you couldn’t get farther into the Big 12 if you tried. We were the only 4 people in that section, if you’re cool with them they’ll be cool with you. Who knew that UK football games were like going to an Oakland Raiders games. For whatever reason baseball here can be the more unfriendly experience in the US. My wife as a 12 yo girl had beer thrown on her for wearing an opposing jersey at a home game in San Francisco.
Now watch the game after this where Tennessee plays Georgia 😂😂 -Georgia fan here no hate, love the videos, keep it up
Thank you James, appreciate the support! Love that you’re loving the Content. This sounds great, I’ve added to our list
Home games are a different story...we got yall at our house this year...still doubt we can win because yall are so stacked with 5 stars but i can guarentee it will be a close one cant wait
@@foster7517 😂by that logic u only stood a chance against bama at neyland and still almost lost when the refs helped and had 20point lead
Hey yall love the channel! You guys should react to Devin Hester highlights!
Thank you Brandon, appreciate it! Thanks for the suggestion. Got Devin Hester on our list too.
Awesome video! I'm gutted this wasn't the version of the clip that showed them chanting down the street and throwing it into the river but I think you get the idea of how passionate those fans were
Thanks Steve. I know, I was also hoping we were going to see them going into the water 😅
We definitely get the idea of how passionate this was!
At the LSU-Bama game, they had 3 security guards around each goal post (12 total since we use H-style goalposts instead of Y-style) so that if we rushed the field we couldn't take down the posts like this. Also I would very much recommend reacting to that LSU-Bama game from this year.
What could 3 security guards done with a mobl like that
So far Alabama fans have stormed the field exactly 0 times after defeating any opponent especially the 1 ranked.
Please react to top 10 freak athletes by nfl throwback..you won’t be disappointed :)
Can you react to the USA vs Venezuela game. Trust me it was awesome.
everyone in that crowd is related
There’s the stairs near the “away fan section” at beaver stadium (psu) but it’s nothing official. Since the away section is more recommendation and you can sit any where you go out the stairs you find.
Funny enough from last years white out (auburn game) some pissed auburn fans that were flipping people off almost got jumped by half the student section.
The PSU fans I met at the game this year were very friendly. I wish they played each other more often!
It's pretty short, but there is a great clip of App State fans running through the streets after they beat Texas a&m!
They brought it all the way down to the river nearby the stadium 😭😭
GBO!!! VFL!!!!
