- On August 13, 1961, 60 years ago, the Berlin Wall was erected. It physically divided East Berlin and West Berlin for 28 years. Check-in presenter Nicole Frölich went hunting for reminders of its existence. Accompany her to the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, the East Side Gallery, Checkpoint Charlie, the memorial on Bernauer Strasse, and Mauerpark.

I am an American who remembers the drama of Berlin through much of my life. I have visited Berlin twice since the wall came down. It brings tears to my eyes to this day. Your video shows some things I missed. I hope to get back again for an in-depth tour. Great video.
I was stationed in West Berlin from 1983 - 1990. My family and I were at Checkpoint Charlie on November 9, 1989, to greet East Berliners as they entered the west, many for the first time in their lives.

My first trip to Europe was in 1990. I went to Auschwitz several days after survivors gathered for the 45th anniversary of the liberation, and I was in Berlin while parts of the Wall were still being taken down. As a 12 year old I didn't realize the gravity of what I was seeing but I look back in awe.

Berlin wall had fallen more than 31 years ago. Hopefully, divider wall in occupied Palestine will crumble soon. Perhaps, any world leader will said: Mr. (Naftali) Bennet, tear down this wall. Just as U.S. President in 1987, Mr. Ronald Reagan had famously said: Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.
Why should the Wall in Israel should be fallen..? There was a Reason, why the Wall in Israel was build..! Because Islamic-Palestine Terrorists were attaking the Israelian-Jewish People with Bus-Bombing- and other Attaks over 30 Years, since Israel has been founded since 1948. If the wall should be fallen > the Palestine side, espescially the HAMAS and other Islamic-Palestine-Terror-Militias should be except, the State of Israel and they should be disarmed and declare a Carta, that they never again attak the Jewish People...!!!!

You know, The Berlin Wall was built in '61 after THE ALLIES win over NAZI in '45 (the year of 1945). But finally, it was destroyed in '89.
That part of Berlin looks like the Bronx..disgusting.
Israel built similar walls to segregate Palestinians
Israel built a wall to keep out Palestinians after they kept blowing themselves up on busses.
