Great tips for window/door alignment. Have no idea where my 57 came from, but like most Tri-Fives, everything has been "touched". You're 100% right on, putting it back to factory specs & hardware is the best way to make a start. Hope your dog gets better. Thanks.

Great video Rob. I learned that I'm missing a lot of parts for the doors. All from the left door and some from the right. I'm sitting here taking notes. Thanks a lot. I hope your dog gets better.

The shop that worked on Steve's car should watch your videos, they could learn a lot. They opened themselves up to criticism with the lack of professionalism and pride. Who would hire them if they knew this was the type of product they were getting? Thanks for showing us what attention to detail looks like. The word that comes to mind regarding this shop is just plain shameful. Hope your dog is okay, take care.

Hi just had an idea you said you had 2 doors in your backyard if there is glass in 1 of the doors maybe take it out and put it in the door your working on to see if it will move up and down with out any drag. Just an idea 💡 so if it is the issue maybe ask Steve to order up another window 🪟.

When you were peenings the wing(vent)window gear box, l was cringing thinking when that slips (your starter punch) you will stab your hand putting that washer in place.
Technically the piece that was missing is the center support for the vertical piece that goes inside with grease. I would measure the inside diameter then find some washers that would stack inside of that about a 1/4" deep then bolt it to the washer you peaned in place. This way the lower vertical piece will not bind when you put a side load on the gear to open or close the wing (vent)window. That lower piece is a support point not a drain hole.
You doing you cousin a great service especially finding thoes trim screws. They would have been a weird rattle for a long time.

Just trying to keep the grease in. Support or not, it didn't have it nor would it probably never have got it. Taking it back apart is not going to happen

I don’t think you’re bashing the previous shop at all but, if I was the owner and I found out they put freaking wood screw in my car which tore the threads up I’d be PO!
What professional would let a car leave the shop that way?
