Hi guys, Thanks for Watching. I will be dabbling in a few non BLEACH videos but do not worry. I will continue to bring you BLEACH videos regardless. I just want to diversify what it is we do. Caught up to JJK and will be tagging along as we go. I'm reading Sakamoto Days currently, trying to catch up to One Piece again, and I got a podcast show cooking in the background. Suffice to say Ichibei is following the ancestor's will even if they are long gone. That makes Soul Society a necrocracy at it's core. Fitting. His unnerving monologue about the King is perfectly captured in book 3 of CFYOW, where he reveals the truth to those around him and all, including the other members of Squad Zero, are left silent in shock and somber contemplation with heads looking down. To think he had such a nightmare in place for Ichigo. Then again he is following the ancestor's path so there.
It’s even more shocking when you realize the situation in book 3.
Tokinada like the other 4 great nobles houses lived off of the agreement Ichibei made with the noble ancestors.
Centuries later their descendants are doing everything to destroy that very agreement.
It’s like the grandson of your co-conspirators is stabbing you in the back just for the fun of it.
The soul society is rotten to the core. As for the other squad 0 members. I think Hikifune and Kirinji are genuine but would ultimately submit to Ichibei’s opinion.
Senjumaru is a femme fatal in my eyes. There’s a lot of bad blood between her and Mayuri leading to another of soul society’s dirt

Ichibei's role in hell arc can make us learn abt the darkest aspects of bleach and knowing more abt him means more abt bleach universe. And I certainley feels like that there can be a certain someone as strong as soul king thats why they don't poke there nose abt anything abt hell.
Ichibei is someone to appear very cheerful but can get very angry.
Even though he had sinister intentions, he was at least willing to make a compromise.
Ichibei strayed away from his idea to forcefully turn Ichigo into the linchpin with or without his consent.
So in this particular matter, his hands are clean.
I fully understand that this wasn’t because of sympathy towards Ichigo, it was solely a pragmatic decision because Ichigo could still be a useful asset to soul society. Regarding the current manga situation.
It was Yhwach who indirectly saved Ichigo from a horrible fate

I feel like ichibe was just playing his role his whole aura was primordial chaos everything black naming things he was very powerful
Entropy demands that everything is always descending into chaos and i think Ichibei is manipulating the chaos so the result is always resulting in the status quo being kept. Ichibei has lived an absurdly long time, he's likely experienced the coming and going of eras past an innumerable amount of times. I doubt he has any attachment to this era and isn't afraid of change at all. Ywach doing all that he has is merely apart of his plan, same for the existence of Aizen and Ichigo.
He’s shown some, but they seem shallow at best.
You have no idea how much it brings joy to my heart to hear Dune reference lol. Dune is the best science fiction ever and I’m so happy it was received well by the main stream.
It's probably not very likely but I'd love to see the final arc (whether it's the hell arc or one after it) be about a civil war or revolution with Ichigo leading a group of rebels trying to overthrow the corrupt nobles running everything, against Ichibei & those who want to maintain the status quo. Kinda like the soul society arc but on steroids
You could get more into the history & lore of the soul society & the noble families, and explore the backstories of characters like Urahara, Yoruichi & even Aizen. And the best part would be seeing what side each character falls on and all the crazy matchups that could come about
Has Byakuya fully changed his view on the world or will he be forced to take up arms against his sister, brother-in-law & the one he once asked to save the soul society for him? Would Urahara & Yoruichi continue to guide & mentor Ichigo or will he be forced to take down his former teachers? Or will Urahara & Yoruichi end up on opposite sides themselves? Shunsui would be another interesting one, I could see him ending up on either side. Same with Mayuri
The possibilities are endless, and since it would probably be the last arc, Kubo wouldn't really need to worry about plot armor so anything could happen. He could actually kill Byakuya this time and not cheapen it by bringing him back to do nothing meaningful the rest of the series 😅
Seriously though, I think it would have the potential to be the best arc in all of Bleach
Yoruichi may certainly side with the status quo, however nasty she herself admits they are. In CFYOW's final chapter she's very insistent on erasing Hisagi's memory for looking into the truth of the Spirit King, getting menacing to the point that Kisuke asks if she's feeling ok. The whole incident also reads as though Yoruichi and Kisuke would've resorted to murder if it was someone of lesser standing than Hisagi, reminding us that she and Kisuke were once killers for the status quo. The shipping and lightheartedness of them quickly vanishes.
@@manuelacosta9463 ya, exactly, I was literally thinking of that part of CFYOW when I was typing that. I've only read a fan translation, so I need to get an official copy, but it's a really interesting & surprising part

It's a dark, creepy moment coming from someone you'd expect would be long disillusioned with that aspect of Soul Society, especially given she's seen the bloody ugliness of it firsthand along with the corruption/hypocrisy of the nobility. But then again she was a princess and assassin. That 'stability at all costs' mantra is all she knows but again that can only go so far before the cracks to show.
@@manuelacosta9463 exactly. And I know Kubo didn't write CFYOW but that conversation in particular seems to be setting something up. And all through out the series, the nobles have been hinted at & sometimes outright portrayed as the big bad working in the background. And the fact that the fifth noble family has yet to be named is super suspicious. So I think the soul society is ripe for a revolution, and either way Kubo has been focusing more & more on the nobles & soul society corruption in general, so we'll see
@@jsull81 Truth, in the Renji-Rukia wedding novel Yoruichi stated that there was some strife in the past related to some questioning the way things are and that's why stability is necessary even if lies are what keep it so. She did concede that those in power are the worst though, even she wondered at all the lies and pure propaganda they were taught as part of their training/indoctrination. But now with hell making itself known and revelations about the powerful ending up there while causing dangerous imbalance, internal strife may only be one nail in the coffin.
When Ichibei was making those malevolent crazy faces he looked like Bluto from Popeye.
Awesome video as always, i hope so much that the next video o one of the next could be about the original gotei 13 and which could be their role eventually if Kubo will continue the manga after the one shot no breathes from hell.

I think his reluctance to kill Yhwach is the greatest evidence we have that Yhwach actually is the son of the Soul King

Someone really tried to argue with me that Aizen (who didn't kill anime Jesus) is more evil than Ichibei (who DID kill anime Jesus). Needless to say, I disagreed.
A way to put it is that yes a good guy doing the bad deeds that keep the world afloat
A kingdom cannot be upheld by self preservation alone, a true kingdom is expressed by its character and nature or else it should be and to uphold said kingdom through means of indifference to those Godly characteristics that define it, would be self destructive ultimately.
Ichibei is such a geniusly written character its awesome to have such a character in bleach

He’s not evil at all lol just matter of fact. Mind you the Soul King knew what was going to happen to him because of the fears of the five noble families (especially the Tsunayashiro clan leader) but the soul king chose this path as the best one anyway and Ichibe understood that. Now all this having been said, no, he’s not particularly a good person either - just morally utilitarian. But you sensationalists LOVE claiming how “evil” he is but it’s totally misleading.
