Really enjoying your vlogs Will (new subscriber). One of the few vlogs that have me laughing out loud at your antics/thoughts on life/funny voices. Keep up the fantastic work Will. Much appreciated!
Well .. I can sum up this video in one word..( stunning ) this is what I have come to expect from you... they are always interesting and informative and a emense pleasure to watch.. They are a reminder to people like myself about the lives they onced lived on their own narrow boats...👍👍👍... So it's a massive filthy thumbs up from me.
Well here in the states we call that a good old fashioned outdoor swap meet. A place where small time business people and part time vendors can ply their trade with either cash sales or barter. Thanks for including us in your adventures.👍
Thank you so much, guys. I hope you've got some nice weather over there. I've seen early mushrooms and blackberries. Nature thinks it's September. Ha ha 😂
I'm nearly a cripple but I must fight on Robert. For you guys, of course. I have to force myself to look at the filthy scenery. On a daily basis, I might add. 🤣🤣🤣
When l was a member of the organic movement back in the 1970’s l remember a book called The Western Way of Death which focused on diet and all the chemicals that go into it and exercise.I dare’nt go to a car boot as l’m already fully cluttered up😂
Love looking at the car boot with you . I don’t understand why folk don’t subscribe 🤷🏼♀️ Hopefully a gentle reminder every now and again will gain you a few more 😍
morning , humid here today , just having coffee with you , the tree you mentioned they are nice , but we have one opposite us gradually loosing my out look and the evening sky , the man every year asks someone for a price to trim it always says to expensive , it will not get any smaller , exasperating , pleased to join you again. views are important . next stop sounds good, independent shops look good . my mom used to give my two money to spend at the shop , teaching them the same. our car boots charge £5 a car to go in . 🙃🙂
It is quite humid today. Carboots normally charge people to go in but this one is free and it's massive. I've just got back from the same one. I love it. Also the bargain hunt team were there. Interesting day out. Love it.
Evening Will. A varied video indeed! An observational one just like I'd do travelling along the canal looking at everything. They should fit the boat's side doirs in an art gallery and run the different scenic views behind it. I always feel.as if I'm gliding through history via boat imagining the people and boats of history moving along. My mate who has a UA-cam channel says that thumbs AND comments can boost the number of people UA-cam recommends your video to. The Algorithm, sounds like a film.😂😂😂😂. Thanks. Regards. Paul.
I see you've finally reached the (k Subscibers, well done. Next the Dizzy Sights of 10k. WOW! I have b been watching for a while now, well Done. Thank you H
Another brilliant vlog Will. It keeps bringing back memories of my walks there & my time looking for a new house between Lancaster, Carnforth, Kendal & Penrith. Eventually Penrith won after lockdown but it could easily have been Carnforth near the canal.
Carnforth is a great little town, but anywhere along here seems lovely. It's been a really great canal. But there is a real gem that nobody seems to use. Stay tuned 😉
Hi Will, the black jack looks the same as mine in the Nissan Patrol 4x4 so it also should lift your van, or you can always give yourself a lift if your feeling down! 😊
Morning Will, lovely morning again, Alvechurch marina busy as usual with folks picking up their rentals, chatting to one couple, they only travel a mile or so and moor up for the rest of the week, to each us own I guess but a very expensive holiday, must have a few bob I guess, nice folks mind, have a lovely day me old duck.
Will I've already subscribed to your channel and absolutely love all your video content as it reminds me long ago when I was living on a boat before it was very saddly no more because of myself!!! But still watch your videos all the time always do and hope all is well with yourself and Leon and suzki if that's not the right spelling many apologies!!! ❤❤❤❤❤😊😎😎💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍Filthy thumbs up Will!!!!
Hi Will in May 1978 we hired a GRP cruiser from a small boatyard in Catforth but I wonder as it was GRP we never had a problem with mooring near the bank so I suppose a shallow draft it was an 27 ft Elysian centre cockpit called Wonderlust I was looking in your video to see if I could see it It was £60 for the week but nothing has changed at all in 46 years it's a lovely canal 🙂
Hi Will. I watch and subscribe and dirty thumbs up each view. When you're passing through brinklow I will pass uou many golf balls free of charge. My dad and I used to play and collected 100's of golf balls. I'm sure we can spare a few lol😅 Canal closures are never a good sign anywhere, if it were closer and I could park car and kayak trailer I'd be up paddling that 41 miles with no locks but 1 swinger bridge be careful with those swingers 😅 It would be a great trip on the kayak and camp side of canal maybe. Thanks for sharing loved it. Even the car boot was interesting. Good luck 👍 hope weather stays sunny. All the best 👍 kev the Brinklow kayaker ❤
Ahhh, cheers, Kev. I always need balls. I keep losing mine in bushes and long grass. 🤣🤣🤣 This would be a perfect canal for kayaking on. You could go on the sea as well. 🤣🤣 Enjoy the weather. Don't fall in. 🤣👍👍👍
Hi Will, enjoying the updates on the Lanc. I used to live in Hest Bank as a kid, messed about on the canal quite allot. , and thats where my Dad made ‘the canoe’ you met in Banbury. Kinda travelled out at the moment, did the Bristol channel recently that was amazing, but feeling the need to settle for a while and so got myself a mooring in Hest Bank, nearer my family too. In Braunston at the mo but heading up, via the Man Ship canal and Mersey into Liverpool. Maybe on the Lancy by August, maybe you be off by then, but maybe see ya like passing ships :). Agree with you about the Lanky - other good things to do from there too, hills, coast etc
I'm heading down the same trip as you. Ha ha. Classic. I'll be off here by then. The Glasson basin I'd the gem of this place in my view. This canal has been soooo good. See you on the cut ripper.
@@NarrowboatWill yup Glasson is fab, especially the smokery. Someone told me if moored in the basin against the far wall you can get ya boat lifted up and onto the wall in gale it get so choppy, handy for blacking i guess. Carry on rippin :)
Hi Will, great video as always, great to see you're all jacked up. Could you at some point in the future do a short vid on the subject of tools. As a want to be narrowboater I don't really have a mechanical background and my tool kit is rather lacking. What in your opinion would be the best selection of tools, re socket sets mole grips, wire brush? What power tools would you recommend? Would be so informative and useful not just for me but I'm sure everyone else would value such info. Cheers mate. FTU.
i always love a good car boot , but it tempts you to buy too much , you seem to spend 3/4 of your life gathering stuff , & a quarter of your life getting rid of it lol , i can sort of understand why they leave certain parts of the canal shallow , when you cycled past those houses it looked like you were looking down on them , which could be a privacy invation to them , as not everyone is as honest as you .
That's a really good point Lori. What about the houses above. Looking down their noses no doubt. I wonder if works in levels of wealth. The better off getting the high houses? 🤣🤣
I'd be worried about scrapping off my blacking paint. In the end, I taped a stiff brush to a broom handle. It's gone now. Thanks for the comment. Keep um coming. 🫵👍👍

Love the sound of skylarks, reminds me of walks with my Dad when I was a little nipper hanging on every word he said! The sound of summer in birdsong.
It's my favourite bird call Tim. It means summer is here to me. Cheers 👍
Some grand shots Will and the car boot looked such fun come on people give Will a thumbs up tc the oldies🤗👍🤗👍
