    Hi, I'm from Chile, next week they give me a cat 236d with a bh130 smart excavator, my question is how I could move the machine and the arm at the same time in case the machine gets stuck on some ground?

      I have a 236d also. Mine does not have a small computer screen on it, does yours skid steer have a screen that come on after you attach?

      Yeah, only having to bring out one machine instead of dragging a backhoe or excavator out

    Literally a Cat 301 boom/stick on a skidsteer. Save up an extra 10k and just buy the 301 excavator

      Cat Landscaping and Construction but you’re from Caterpillar. You designed, built, and marketed the product . . . you don’t know 🤷‍♂️

    Looks like there's no leg room in those machines. His legs were up against the lower air vents. Kind of a stupid place to air vents.

      @nubwagon3758 3 роки тому +2

      There's a lot more than you'd think actually. As for the vents, you can close them. Also on hot/cold days it's nice to heat/cool your legs. PLUS heated seat breh

    how does a skid steer with backhoe attachment do on slopes? say, 25 degrees slope; thanks

    • @catconstructiontrade
      @catconstructiontrade  Рік тому +1

      Hi James! Great question! The backhoe attachment can be operated on slopes up to 25 degrees if the machine is facing up or down the slope. The machine will be more stable when the backhoe is facing up the slope. We do not recommend operating across a slope. If it is necessary to operate across a slope, the slope should never exceed 3:1 (18 deg). - Yasmin

    It ain't a bad idea

    It is absolutely ludicrous how you need to look through the glass to operate such a precision piece of equipment. Let alone dust, dirt, mud and grease on the window. I don't know either about the sitting position to operate this attachment. It might be good, and I will reserve judgement on that aspect of it. But you do need unhindered visibility to operate a backhoe productively. At least install a roll up door. I don't know why manufacturers insist on swing out doors. It's assinine. Men who operate heavy equipment shouldn't be afraid to get hit, cold or dirty. Within reason of course.

    How much does this attachment cost? Im worried about seeing the dig lines on a footing.

      Woof Dog I imagine the same way you see when you’re running a rubber tire backhoe

      @@woofdog4219 The backhoe has side shift, which should make up for some misalignment in driving. I might be way off, if so tell me why.

    I absolutely love caterpillar but these are the dumbest attachment to ever put on a skid steer

    • @cornpop7805
      @cornpop7805 4 роки тому +4

      Why? It seems like a well thought out attachment. It even has side shift for getting next to walls, etc. But, I am very interested to hear why you think it sucks, I haven't operated a skid steer for 25yrs and then only with a bucket or forks, so I'm really no qualifed to say.

      In the right application, these attachments are the perfect fit. They are not a mini ex, they are an attachment. If your business has a lot of excavation work, these are probably not the answer. We do farm/ranch and small contracting work. Our backhoe attachment is worth its weight on gold. We dont have to hassel with picking up a rental or the overhead of another machine. We can load the SSL, a couple different buckets and the backhoe on one trailer and make one trip to a job.
