An island within an island inside an island This is just like the dream of dreams of dreams 😌
I see a sequel to "Inception" here
And according to legend somewhere on that island Young Castro was conceived where he promptly sold his sold to the far left. To this day it is said the devil weeps for he knew he got ripped off.
This is like the Russian dolls 🪆
Inception
I think Canada's Manitoulin Island is the world's largest fresh-water island. (It also has the largest lake within a lake.)
A maple syrup heist is the most Canadian thing of all time
Bet he asked politely for it
@@aaabbaba”eh guy can I get that maple syrup truck buddy”
“Im not your guy buddy”
“Well im not your buddy pal”
“Ok take it eh”
Not if it was stolen by Ricky or Julian @@aaabbaba
Even better was in was stolen from their emergency maple syrup reserve. The people if I recall also ended up returning it.
My friends were criticizing Canada but I was having Nunavut.
Well its kind of a communist shit hole.
Noice
I f-ing hate nunavut so much why do they own the islands on the south of houdson bay I really hate it
Lol 😆
Lmao
Wishing everybody peace and blessings from Canada! 🇨🇦✌🏻❤🍁
Sincerely, thank you.
Canada has been overcompensating mad hard for the things they did in ww1, based
@Michael Smythe 💀 bagdor
Blessings to you as well! 🇺🇸 🤝 🇨🇦
I had to watch this four times just to figure out the island in a lake in an island thing. Well played, sir.
Canadian here : the two red bands on the flag represents the Pacific and Antlantic oceans like our motto says "A mari usque ad mare" which is latin for "From an ocean to the other".
And the leaf represents the land in-between. 😉
Great country 👏🏼 ... but EMPTY😊
Why would red represent blue oceans?
I love Canada....my neighbors to the south. Greeting from Detroit!🇺🇸🤗🇨🇦
I see what you did there
I love the USA 🇺🇸! Love from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
so do you live there by choice or...
Hello from both sides. I am Canadian american (Born in USA but I've lived in Canada for the past 5 years, and my family is Canadian, and I'm a dual citizen)
There’s also a third, bilingual national anthem. It’s usually played in bilingual (French immersion) schools in Ontario, anyway.
If F.I. accomplished one thing it's that I don't know the whole anthem in one language or the other I have to switch between french and English to get through it
we also sometimes play the bilingual version in schools in saskatchewan
The real English anthem that you won't hear in Quebec is The Maple Leaf Forever.
@@randytaylor1258 you wont hear it anywhere because it’s not the national anthem anymore
Sens games plays the bilingual version
For some reason around half of my favorite UA-camrs are Canadian. And my favorite band (Rush), too.
Take off, eh!
Do they say aboot and aboat? Some do and some don't Canadians are cool though.
Rush is god tier, anyone who says differently is wrong
Love to Canada from a Southern Neighbor
Are you from South Canada?
I like Canada the people are nice there
Indeed
They speak arab or indian?
@@surferofthesynthwaves4710 our languages are French (quebecois) and English
Ever been to Winnipeg?
You might not say that.
Ay
I am a proud Canadian, for many reasons.
same
Don't worry u will soon be a minority race in a few yesrs
Proud of what Trudea did to your country? I'm American, and I'm certainly not "Proud" of it. We've become a weak country full of corruption and BS. Everyone is laughing at us, and it doesn't matter if we have the left or right in power, it never changes, only gets worse
Too bad is all empty 😮
Justin Trudeau is a clown 🤡
How about our land border with Denmark. That's kind of cool.
It's the channel between Canada and Greenland (Denmark) North of Labrador
Hans Island belongs to Canada!😀
ua-cam.com/video/wJvb7so2614/v-deo.html
@PrairieWolf62 no, an agreement was reached last year in June to split the island. Was big news last year. We can technically join the Eurozone now (not that we will) but nice to have that option!

I know..... I was just doing some warmongering. 😀
Canada is such a beauty of a country.
I’m a Canadian and a geography nerd.
I did not know about the island in a lake on an island in a lake on an island, nor did I know about Middle Island.
Mad respect.
Its called Pelee island. Middle Bass Island is in Ohio
The red areas on either side of the flag represent the oceans. The flag was originally going to have those areas in blue but it was decided to make them red because red and white are our official colours
The red is because if high casualty rate (about 10%) Canada suffered during the Great War, the highest in the Entente.
Canada is also the largest Commonwealth realm.
Only Canada would have major syrupy theft 😂😂😂
Thank you for telling us so much about our neighbors in The Great White North.🇨🇦🍁
Hello from Canada! 🇨🇦
I've lived in the states for near 20 years now, and I can't really say I miss Canada all too much. I still very much love it though.
HELLO FROM CANADA! ❤❤❤❤
Philippines be like after hearing about the island on a lake thing:
👁️👄👁️ That's my thing
Islands of islanders,adventure awaits
Indeed it does
Oh and by the way, most French speaking Canadians, are fluently bilingual.
On vous aime d'au delà de l'Atlantique
True, and the ones who can't speak French and visit your beloved province get treated rudely. Au revoir
@@joedirt9600 If you think you’ll be treated better in France, bonne chance!😂 I think it has more to do with the fact that you’re a rude American…
Honestly the only thing i understood here is: Merci, Mon, Cher, Oui, Parlent, Francais and langue.
Bonjour au Terre Neuve!
Very interesting and informative!
Beautiful Country,
The furthest point south in Canada, Pelee Island (41° 46' 28.1604" N) (or, more correctly, Middle Island), is further south than the city of Rome, in Italy (41°53'30.95" N).
Bro I've been to point Pelee and didn't know there was an island further off the tip
and now you know grimlok
Take a tour, wineries, Pelee Island Wines
The island has an abandoned car from the 1920s, going back to the bootlegging era!
Beautiful people
Use to be
The island you mentioned is sometimes unofficial called "Inception Island". It lies in an unnamed lake on an unnamed island in an unnamed lake on Victoria Island.
However, with 16000 square metres, it's not the biggest one. There appears to be one at 40000 square metres, an unnamed island in an unnamed lake on an unnamed island in Nettilling lake on Baffin Island, which also belongs to Canada.
Absolutely love this country. Planning on moving there in the distant future.
Don’t. Trust me it’s not that great
We welcome you.
@@Mattattak well, so far it's just a nice dream of mine. I don't even know if I'll do it but, for me, Canada seems lovely. Quiet and peace is all I want tbh.
Please stay away.
With Justin TURDeau in charge?
♥ to Canada and Canadians!
Thanks ❤
There’s an orchard near where I live that was founded in 1598 and the same family still runs it. Makes a Hudson Bay look like a startup.
You forget that they have the best tasting and least expensive whisky
No, our booze is expensive because it’s sold through a government monopoly.
@@michaelatcheson4816 Fair enough. Here in the USA, Canadian is inexpensive relative to Bourbon or Scotch (except for Crown Royal)
Great content and channel. I subscribed. Thank you! I ❤ Canada. A shout out to the Rock bands Rush, April Wine, BTO and The Grapes of Wrath.
The Guess Who? Bare Naked Ladies? Stampeders?
And from Detroit Michigan you drive south to get into Windsor Canada
Fun fact, Canada is a bilingual country where 75.4% of the population only speaks English. New Brunswick is the only province to be a bilingual province.
Canada's flag has no official representation because of the conflict of the French speaking and English speaking Canadians. Also traditional maple trees only occupy the eastern part of Canada
Mostly Quebec
Born Canadian and my grandmother was adopted by wealthy people who couldn't have children and came over from Michigan when she was a baby in the very early 1900's.
As a Canadian, this still doesn't make me feel a lot better about Canada of 2023
I love Georgian Bay, Toronto and poutine.
Funny fact, poutine is also the way we call Russian president Putin in French lol
Of course Canada is only country where people are not getting into an argument about it in the comment section. Everyone loves Canada, so inoffensive despite being next being next to the US 😊
Hmm what about the disappearances of native women and schools that tortured native children into acting more white and "civilised". Nobody talks about it but its horrible and some stuff is still ongoing...
Tnf Canada is just the US but different.
Not even remotely true, Canada is just the U.S with better marketing. Or rather the U.S has stopped trying to market because why would they?
There's a Norse legend where the birds had a contest to see who could fly highest. The Eagle expected to win, but the Wren hitched a ride on his shoulder, and when the Eagle had flown as high as he could the Wren hopped an extra inch and won the contest!
The USA's the Eagle, Canada's the Wren...
Lmaoooo the only reason Canada even exits today is because it’s protected by America. America is the single greatest nation to ever exist in history of the world.
LOVE the fact Canada is only 20% populated. Wish the US was like that. No wonder their citizens are happy people!!!!
You can't believe how many hours ive spend on google earth looking Canada islands and unique places that humans don't live! Its so exciting! I want to explore every inch of Canada! Love you from Greece.
Love man, that's so kind 🇨🇦💜🤟
We have one version of the national anthem. It's just translated into both of our national languages
Learning about the population placement of Canada, I am definitely going to refer to them as "America's hat" from now on.
I mean to be fair, the northern parts of our provinces are cold as shit, and so are our territories 😭 I would totally be living it up in Yellowknife if I could afford it
You forgot that the two red lines on both sides represent the two ocean on both sides of Canada
Of course I know all that. Proud Canadian here.
@Michael Smythe the facts aren’t that obscure…the only one I didn’t know was the maple syrup robbery and that’s because it happened 11 years ago
@Michael Smythe it probably is but 1. It wasn’t in my province and 2. I was young. It’s the only fact that would get lost in time imo. Which 3 were obscure to u? I’m guessing one of them is the desert
I knew all except the smallest desert and I thought the island-island-island was on Manitoulin. But then I was a trivia nerd with a good memory. Now my memory is all but gone.
Technically we have 3 versions of the National Anthem, in the 3rd version you switch from English to French about halfway through, & they all Start with Oh Canada.
Well made! Forgot to say something about their national food named as a crazy dictator :)))))
What
Took me a while to get this one
They named a food after Trudo or his father,Castro?
The word poutine literally sounds like the word Putin.
Poutine is a dish consisting of french fries covered in cheese curds and gravy. It's a very delicious dish. However due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, many restaurants decided to temporarily rename it.
You would think it would be pronounced like "Pooh-teen" but it's actually literally pronounced like "Put-in".
Oddly it's not a real Frecnh word. No one knows for sure where TF the word came from. It could have been a corruption of the word "pudding" or it could have been similar to many words from many First Nations languages meaning many different things.
❤ Canada! 🇨🇦
There is a maple syrup cartel in canada. It literally qualifies as a cartel
by the way, there are lots of deserts in Canada! lilooet is a town that many desert scenes are shot in. I grew up in that area, rattle snakes and wild horses, the mountains get +40 in the summer and -40 in the winter!
I know about CFS Alert. Visited there in April 1976 during Operation Mini Boxtop. Flew in/out on a Canadian Forces C-130.
I love Canada, I'm hoping one day both my countries combine to become the final America. That would be pretty neat.
The maple syrup heist is a good one!
Don’t forget it was a British colony for 400 years
It was because of the Hudson’s Bay Co. that Vancouver, WA, was founded so early, 1825, a year before Thomas Jefferson’s death. Vancouver, BC, was founded 61 yrs later. Even Portland, OR, across the Columbia from Vanc., WA, was founded in 1851, like Seattle. As far as T. Jefferson is concerned, he was no slouch. Besides coauthoring the Declaration of Independence (1776), and being President (1801-1809) and sending out the Lewis and Clark Exped., he was friends with Capt. Robert Gray, who discovered the Columbia in 1792. He took the lat. and long. readings at the mouth of the Columbia, sent them to Jefferson, who had done the same thing in Boston. By comparing the two sets of nos., he was able to ascertain the new nation was 3,000 miles wide.
I don’t want to draw this out, but I can’t help but mention I was indirectly touched by Jefferson sending out the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1804-06. The expedition centennial was held in Portland, OR, in 1905. Leather-paged photo albums were issued for the event, showing all the fancy buildings of the time. Somehow I found one of those albums at an estate sale about 35 yrs. ago. Thank you, Thomas Jefferson!
So many amazing facts.
No you're amazing
Regarding the Flag, you missed that the bars on the sides represent the oceans on wither side of the country. Some also view the flag in the center as having a double meaning, in representing the vast number and size of lakes between the oceans.
As a canadian i know all these facts
It's islandception
I was literally going to title the slide that but didn't think people would get it
Only in Canada could have a major heist involving millions of dollars worth of maple syrup.
The 11 points on the flag's leaf stand for 10 provinces plus the territories.
Old Quebec City is my favorite place to visit
In Canada, you must live with at least one polar bear, moose, beaver or goose for a year to gain full Canadian status. The pledge of allegiance to the country and flag is done quarterly at the local Tim Hortons while a hockey game is being watched. Canadians also bathe in maple syrup and poutine sauce for its various beauty benefits.
Would love to live with a goose.
I'm best friends with a Cobra Chicken that lives a few igloos down from me. We both agree Timbeebs had potential ahe!
You should explain that by hockey you mean ice hockey, not field hockey
@@redroger3637 No, I mean pocket hockey.
Canadians don't have a pledge of allegiance. But the alternative anthem is the theme to Hockey Night in Canada.
It also has the largest mall in north america
Canada also has a Cree and Dene version of O'Canada
Friend: what does Canada have to offer?
Me: Island, inside of lake, inside of island, on an island in an ocean. Lol
they also have the world's largest uninhabited island (Devon Island)
We Canadians know all this and more.
I'm Canadian, but I didn't know about the southernmost point being below californias northernmost
You only got me on one. I didn't know about the desert
true i live under that red line in canada
Canada is human laboratory
Pretty good experiment 🤟💜🇨🇦
That 50% of Canadians living below that red line in Ontario is the reason Canada is in such a mess right now politically.
It's the only thing keeping our Freedumb petro-province babies at bay🤭👍🏻
@@wendel6 Peoples' Republic of Ottawa.
@@wendel6 that’s ridiculous. Our oil is supporting eastern Canada via transfer payments.
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth there Bud
It's actually less than 40% south of that line.
Why do westerners often seem so bitter? Most people here in Ontario are just trying to get by like you are.
On Google maps the location is: Island in a Lake on an Island in a Lake on an Island
When i heard that Music i was expectin' to hear "Is Canada Breedable"
i don't get the reference somebody please educate me
@@matt9999 There's this guy who did shorts about outrageous things that no one asked for and his intros for these shorts were "Is Breedable?" while the music that is in this short is heard in the background
Another fun fact....we have 2 seal hunts...one in Newfoundland AND ONE IN SASKATCHEWAN....THE ONE IN SASKATCHEWAN THEY WANT BAND.....
Can you do Brazil, my man?
In the 1960s when the Canadian flag was to be changed, the original idea was to have a red maple leaf bordered by blue areas to depict the idea of "sea to sea". However, the Liberals who were in power did not want the Conservative colour of blue in the flag so it was changed to the Liberal red colour.
There are still speakers of Scottish Gaelic in Nova Scotia
Cant mention Canada without Tim Hortons.
I find it rather sad that a doughnut shop instills such nationalist sentiment. Tim Hortons didn't invent the doughnut, there are a lot of businesses doing better ones and, in terms of gastronomy, there are far superior products out there.
Thanks for these enjoyable facts. What are the obvious reasons for the maple leaf flag? Canada deserves better e.g. the Red Ensign it had.
We don't need the red ensign back, thank you.
Ive read that Canada has the most lakes in the world...and more lakes than the rest of the world combined!
As a Canadian I knew most of these
Hudsons bay company also used to own a massive chunk of whats now Canada, which is kinda weird to think about now, like imagine target or walmart owning half the land in mexico.
one fun fact they got a ME-262 after WWII and then they scraped it.
The white represents the land and the red represents the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. “A Mari Usque Ad Mare” or “From Sea to Sea”.
The flag was designed specifically to look vaguely Canadian without representing anything else in particular
As a canadien I knew all of these things lol
When we were in talks with the English to cease hostilities during the Revolutionary War, Ben Franklin wanted one of the stipulations to be that we get Canada. Can you imagine?
When I was traveling thru Canada 40 years ago I stayed at Winnipeg youth hostel. A woman there insisted that Canadian cops had chips operated into their heads. As she was disturbing people at the hostel, I confronted her.
- How do you know they don't? How long have you been in Canada?
- a few weeks.
- Well, I've been here my whole life so I know.
Another thing you didn't know about Canada.
Forty years ago? Not likely, imho
🇨🇦💜🤟
Well done.
Finally! A short that is only true facts
didn't know they loved NAZZZIZ so much.
I have a aunt that works in Alert
Correction: the red in the Canadian flag represents Canada's British roots, while the white reflects our French roots.
Yep. And didn’t you know, their doggies wear ice skates while out walking around.
I’m pretty sure Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined
Depending on how you count islands most could be Sweden
The Canadian Flag doesn't actually have any meaning assigned to it officially. People make things up about how the red is for the soldiers who lost their lives in 1812 or that the white represents snow, but in reality, there's no deeper meaning, the creator just thought it looked good and would stand out.
The 2 red bans represent the 2 oceans!
@@lunarmodule6419 but Canada has 3 oceanic coasts lol
