You do know about the fuel-line problem Miuras suffer from right? Old fuel lines shrink and crack and they run right above the (VERY HOT) exhaust manifolds! Pro tip - Goodrich hoses are your friend here ;)
truly a barn find. I am happy it is on the road again.
Damn, that's a nice looking car, those lines = pure style
This man did the right thing, dusted it off, did a little maintenance, then actually drives it. Bravo.
Sadly people who are rich enough to actually buy these machines are too invested in buy more cars, other than drive the ones they already have.
THANK YOU!
Reminds me of an encounter of US-27 on the way to Sebring one year.
We were tooling along in my neighbors slightly warmed up Volvo 122S
When we were passed by a P400 and a '67 Vette making about 135 mph.
OK....
THEN the Italian hit 5th Gear! as he cleared our little group
Gone like a shot!
The SOUND was miraculous! for some minutes!
Much Later, we found the Vette on the side of the road, steaming and smoking..
Just outside Avon Park....
Owner heaving his guts... the smoke, I guess.
Poor guy was distressed...
The Lambo was seen in the paddock
Clean as a whistle.
This had to be 1970
Andretti WON in the 512S, his second...
The 917s all broke suspensions and frame tubes...
Brutal uneven, by 3 to 4 inches, concrete runway slabs....WHAM!
Screech!.... TORTURE!
Corvettes BROKE that day!
Steve McQueen and Peter Revson was second,
Broken ankle and all, in their two year old 908/2
A tough little car, the 908....
The P400 was the BEST memory
Forza Ferrari!
Love this. The garage looks like the old houses near the shores of Evanston... and the driving scenes are obviously the twisty portions of Sheridan Road near Glencoe. How fantastic to know treasures like this are hiding in plain sight. Have a blast with it, it's just beautiful.
What an absolutely stunning car, thanks so much for sharing
Im kinda thinkin that uncle jay was the sane one and everyone else was crazy! lol Beautiful car!
I am so glad this car is back on the road! Keep it in the family! It's a special car and looks like you are taking good care of it. Enjoy and keep it original us much as possible.
Thank so much to have shared this video with the Community... I've owned a Miura some years ago, and still drive Miura recently, so I know your feeling... enjoy it !!!
Wow! very cool! loved hearing the story behind the car!
Beautiful car, great story. Thanks for sharing.
My favorite car, ever!
Love the opening shots with sunrise
awesome find!
I remember watching that unearthing video YEARS ago and it always stuck in my mind. I'm so glad you were able to get it back on the road and enjoy it. even cooler it still lives in the same 1 car garage! My advice? don't restore it, theres a 100 pristine miuras, this one has real battle scars that show its been driven! Great filmwork as well!
That side view of the Miura - what a gorgeous profile.
Wow! Good job! You are one lucky man
Fantastic thanks for the video of your beautiful car
just looking at a beauty that pristine is amazing and specially seen it alive once again it is a really good feeling
beautiful car, never seen one before this video
most beautiful car ever....
GREAT find.....
A Beautiful driver.. Have fun with this Miura !!
Congrats to this guy, I wish I had an uncle like that. However my uncle Manuel is not too bad, I bought a 1967 Mustang Fastback from him for little $ some years back. : )
That's the car which was on Chasing Classic Cars a few years back. Wayne wanted to buy it.
Yes indeed it was
4:54 thanks man, a rare treat!
kinda cool with subpar paint and the minor dings, it shows the car was truly enjoyed and driven as a Lamborghini not just parked as a trophy. I'm certain that the owner now knows what he's got and is taking care of this car
So glad he kept it and resisted selling it to dealer Wayne .
Great car. Jay was a smart man!
And what a lucky man you are...We should all have a "mysterious" relative leave us a legacy like a 1968 Miura...Leave it just as it is and it will reward you with lots of happiness...
Best car of all times
The most beautiful car ever built
A very special car indeed!👍
as with 1320's video it's the emotion that flows through people who own or see these cars that makes it for me.
Just a beautiful thing...
i so love this car,one of the fastest of her age, brings me tears to see it healthy :')
Marcello Gandini was a genius
Pure genius
have designed also the Citroen BX...
I think that it original because there are some dents on the chassis with some cracks, I'm glad to see that because that shows that it its a proper miura
Wow!
So nice video
"The mysterious relative" nobody knows runs a cocaine empire and has lots of fancy cars. LOL
Haha, DeLorean?
Stop spreading bullshit rumors.
wow, that thing is fucking beautiful. hopefully he can get that body work done and get it somewhat restored. the curves on that car are unparalleled by any other design I've seen.
if I'm not mistaken I thinkWayne Carini from Chasing Classic Cars tried to buy that car
yep
Clark Tibbs do you no thats what I was just thinking I remember by that little weird door at the side
keep reading keep reading now STOP yes and the garage is what caught my attention
keep reading keep reading now STOP I wonder why why this guy got it
Barrons Lumber I was thinking the same thing that guy didn't want to part with it then this guy z he's like the crazy uncle i don't no something seems a bit fishy that's just me lol
The holy grail.
I saw this car on display in Vancouver today
Cool video, Jeremy! Did it take a lot of time and money to get it up and running? Great to see it on the road again.
nice
Don't ever restore it, just maintain it and DRIVE it, I hate show cars, imagine not being able to spin the tyres incase it scratches?
The patina on that car tells its story so well.
miura was my favorite in the test drive unlimited
you lot should watch the 1320videos video of someone getting the miura
Not the same car.
is this the one on the chasing classic cars??
PROPHECY ش
Legend car🇮🇹
凄いマシンが納屋で眠っていたんですね!!
Hey! That's the car Wayne Corini of Chasing Classic Cars wanted to buy but the owner wasn't ready to sell.
not a barn find when u knew where it was:P sexxy tho :)
My dream car.
this is on a barn? damn i wish it was my barn!
bessert man die Schäden auch mal aus oder bleibt das so rostig?
Der Auspuff hört sich auch komisch an
italian supercar ...the best
Car is too nice to leave damaged like that.
has it got the original engine?
I almost cried...
That is my dream car.
Questo pezzo di storia del geniale Lamborghini non deve essere abbandonato in un fienile chi lo possiede deve sapere che è stato progettato da un genio delle auto
Gilberto De Angelis English dude English...;) but yes i agree
intorno al 1967 in una piazza di roma dove aveva negozio miei genitori c era un commerciante che possedeva miura ed era eccezionale. ed era auto per pochi eletti.
👏👌
Were the dude's glasses a barn find, too?
👍👍
No ano de 1969 em Portugal na cidade do Porto havia muitos lomborguines miura a cidade que tinha mais a nível europeu
great story
Need a many repairs on the front hood/bumper piece.
Only minor.
Miguel Hernandez original and unrestored is the way to go for something like this. If they ever sell it I'd assume that would bring the most cash as well.
Zach Gonzales idk about that. I understand if it's not perfect but this is in pretty bad shape
how much did you pay for it at barn find
I wonder what it would feel like to drive it
Well, you are sitting on the ground. It is a fairly hard to shift smoothly car because the shift linkage is very long. The engine makes 370hp but that is above 5000rpm. Around 2000rpm there is not much pull but it makes wonderful V12 noises through the 40dcl Webers. there are 12 throats on the top of the engine and they all make a racket. The front of t he car gets very very light to the point of loss of road feel above 150mph. I was not comfortable going any faster than that in mine. Handling was good for the period. Tires are not very sticky so you dont throw it into a corner like you can with todays tires. But the handling is good within that envelope. If you push the car too hard in a turn it will drift unless you lift off the throttle, then you spin like a top. Corners are taken with partial throttle always, just like driving an old Porsche 911. RULE, dont lift in a corner or you will spin. And No One know what you are driving. They all think it is a kit car.
easier to drive than its successor - the countach.. lol!
I now have hope for my standard Mk.2 Vauxhall Astra GTE (8v)..
I really think anyone that has a succesful custom bodyshop should consider pro bono "charity" work to keep these flawed beauties alive!
JETJOOBOY then soon there will be no shops left. Thats why you need to pay a good amount of money for the job;)
xander witt Can you lend us 2 grand please?
@@JETJOOBOY I have a solution.
SAVE MONEY!
And to reach 2.000,00 isn't that hard buddy...
in the garage the front and rear of the car has no damage. he has it back on the road and they both now have damage. poor car got into his hands.
All the damage was on the car when it was pulled, if you look at the link in the description there are some detailed photos of it.
I thought Wayne from F40 had bought this Miura.

That pier is a beautiful location. Any idea where it is? Interesting vid, peace.
RobGordon35 I'm almost positive this Miura is in Chicago, so I'm assuming that's where this was shot. Not 100% sure though!
Thank you Geoff, useful to know.
Tower road boat launch, winnetka,illinois
I hope that the car is all original
Lucky bastard.
Barn find? It was in a garage on lake street in evanston illinois.
I would drive the damned wheels off this thing if I found it. Glad to it is indeed getting used!
Keep the gobs of power, keep all the bling.... The Miura was one of the sexiest cars ever made.
But you really go do something about the blemishes.
Miura
The original supercar
For the love of the car, please don't restore it
Every scratch, dent and crack adds character
not a barn find they knew it was there for 25 years so it's a barn storage. nice car either way!
very nice video, should be on petrolicious.com as your story is really incredible
Really sad to see it in that shape. You should find an investor to restore it.
Anybody run a CarFax on that plate number yet?
Miuras are very rare and There are almost none on the road
In pratica sei diventato milionario
so much damage on fron bumper:/
The Miura that got away from Wayne Carini
Fuck Wayne Carini. He's a Yankee fuck rag.
Luchace Fox Ahhh...But it's all about the chase! :D
With the way the body looks I hate to imagine how bad it is mechanically. It should not be on the road until it’s properly restored.
are all Miura barn yard finds? lol?
Dude, this car is worth hundreds of thousands USD and you dont even repair the front bumper. Poor condition!
Harald Pichler money money👍🏻 maybe its more about the history and the feeling then about the money and restoring.
He doesn’t know how to drive an old car like that he is shifting like it’s a new car. I saw blue smoke coming out of it. I’d do a full mechanical resto
It sounded like he doesn't know how to drive a manual.
If i where u i will tune up this shit to 1000 horsepower and beat everyone in a drag race and gain money
. Young guy + inherited fast car that he didn't have to bust his ass at work to get it = bad news for the car. Doing a burnout in the gravel confirms to me it's only a matter of time till this car is totaled in a crash. A car like this should be earned, not inherited.
You should use your car, not keep it as a garage queen.
Yep your the person who would own a car that you would wipe it with a rag and with the car never leaving the garage saying you love driving it. Drive it like it should be not baby it all the time. Ever heard of an Italian tune up? Yeah they work.
why not just be happy for him? i would be over the moon if i inherited a kick ass classic like this car... and i'd do a burnout wherever i saw damn well fit! they race $500k lambos on ice and on rough tracks. (and this car is no immaculate garage queen, either)
Jeff Stein 100% agreed and from this video it seems he cares a great deal about this car. He was just having a little fun and clearly was very light on the throttle. What an amazing machine ✌🏻
Most young kids would have sold it for $2m+. This guy loves the car and understands its rarity
