So true. A British journalist/critic recently described Dark Side as one of the most important artistic statements of the last 50 years. I’ve long believed that, and I agree with those who agree with me. 🙄 Regards
@@ronaldelliott4373 rock has given and is giving humanity pieces of music history ...... pieces that have nothing to envy to the great pieces of classical jazz blues and will always be a milestone in the history of music.
"A classic is a work that has never finished saying what it has to say". This is the definition of a classic given by Italian writer Italo Calvino. This album corresponds perfectly to this definition, it crosses time without aging.
one of those albums, where if you lay on the couch with headphones on, you may want to drop an anchor.or you may find yourself floating around thruout the house.
Watching you become a Floyd fan is fantastic. It will stay with you the rest of your life. Watch all the concerts will change your life and feed your soul
It warms my heart to see young people such as yourself discovering and falling in love with the music I grew up listening to. You and others like you are keeping this music alive.
Ibdo think the same. Watching young people like Popenyco enjoy music I started listening when I was young. These are clasics that will never die. Pink Floyd is not only for listening....it is just an experience... a Journey.
THAT'S how you do a reaction to that set!! Don't stop it, don't talk over it. Feel it. Swim around in it and soak in it until you're all pruny with it. Well done sir.
This album is one of life's masterpieces. Saw them live in 1977 here in Milwaukee on the Animals Tour. Epic to say the least. Hearing their new music as it came out was an experience . So many nites with headphones and a joint, getting my mind expanded by these dudes...... ;) Well done bro
Was in Milwaukee too. Also saw them in Milwaukee when the full moon peaked out from the clouds during the singing of I'll see you on the dark side of the moon. Even made the newspaper the next day.
"The paper holds their folded faces to the floor, and everyday the paperboy brings more." Is one of my all time favorite lyrics. For me, it refers to newspapers (replaced by the internet now) and this existential dread that comes with the daily news, in a "if it bleeds, it leads" society. The newspapers are folded found the middle, and the lyric really gives ne the imagery of someone reading a paper, in a quiet state of dread, which is replaced daily by the paperboy.
Beautifully put and (I believe) spot-on. I think a lot of people miss that reference, maybe because they're looking for something more abstract in that phrase. I think even Floyd would be pleased with your imagery.
What sets you aside from a lot of UA-camrs young man ,is how well you show respect to others ,you have an incredible trait.a rare gift indeed , fabulous 🤗👍🏾😌🇬🇧
Hard to believe that I've been listening to this album for 49 years - along with literally billions of other people. A true blessing, the more I think about it.
Just took my grandson to Roger Waters it was amazing. My grandson loved it, and we had a blast. I've always loved this album all pink Floyd. Love watching your reations. Gina.
Great reaction, pass these 1970’s masterpieces along so younger generations can appreciate what can be done without digitally produced and auto tuned “music” I was so blessed to have grown up in that era when when masterpieces flowed from the radio like a river!
I've listened to this album since it first appeared (I'm 68 now), it never tires with it's utter brilliance and depth. Great to see your reaction and acceptance of it's genius.
Born in 79 and I have every vinyl record. Was babysitting with a friend and put the wall album on. Never heard it before and hooked as my favorite band of all time. Every album is amazing.
Someone definitely did a good job raising you. You don't drink you read Mark Twain and your appreciation of great classic music. The more I learn about you the more impressive you get. I see greatness in your future.
Dark Side of the Moon. El mejor álbum de toda la historia del rock. Sin lugar a dudas. Y ya pronto cumple 50 años. ¡!casi mi edad¡! Agradezco haber vivido esta época en la que la real y excelente música me ayudaron a crecer.
Watching your reaction makes me want to re-hear Pink Floyd again for the first time so bad. They are truly unmatched when it comes to any genre of music. The most beautiful band of all time (in my opinion) happy you got experience them and share it with all of us 🤘🏼
I first noticed how good DSOTM was when I got a long ride as a hitchhiker. I still remember how the flow matched the drive through the mountains so well. It has to be the best road trip album of all time.
Can't even guess how many times I have smoked a bowl and sat in front of my huge speakers and listened to this album. It'll take you there! You should try it like we did back then. 👍😎✌
Keep going down that rabbit hole brother. I hear something new each time I listen to one of their songs. And they've been my favorite bands since 1993. It brings me joy to see someone else discover them for the first time... saw many of your reaction videos to them and loved them
My introduction to Pink Floyd was this album..made such an impression..to say blown away..would be an understatement. A true master piece! So cool to see you and others reactions to this jem. Peace and love .
Like your thing by the way! Funny seeing how tunes that seem obvious to some people have never existed to others! I grew up with Pink Floyd and all their stuff throughout the 70s and 80s! Blew my mind when I was like 12!
A great job you did on this. You didn't break in every 3 seconds because you liked to hear yourself. Talk was awesome, you just listened and enjoyed it. And you let your audience do the same thing
l bought this album the day it came out in 1973 and it never gets old. Headphones are a must and it helps to just play it straight through. Great reaction video my man.
I first heard this song aged 10 in the late 70s about 5 years after it was first released and it remains my favourite album ever all these years later. Great to see someone young appreciate just what a masterpiece the DSOTM is.
To millions of people, simply the best album of all time. I've been listening to this for near 50 years now (God, I wish I hadn't thought of that, haha) and I still adore every moment Great reaction as always Pope. You should consider doing this album from the start to The Great Gig in the Sky on the pulse tour. Then maybe the second half separately. There's a track called On The Run in part one, it wouldn't be the best for a standalone reaction, but the ending will blow you away. Don't close your eyes or look away!
the sum is definitely greater than the parts, some albums you just have to listen to start to finish. great job, hoping to see your reaction to dream theater's "wait for sleep" and "learn to live" done back to back.
Yeah man that was the janitor that worked at Abbey Road and all the monologue is him telling stuff they would ask him questions and he would give his opinion and they would talk about philosophy and different things and that was so cool man that they put that all in there
This album is practically 50 years old now and it never gets old, true art always stands the test of time

Here I sit 51 years later, and it's STILL a MASTERPIECE of MUSIC.
Just as it was when it was produced in the Spring of 1973.
It warms my heart to see young people such as yourself discovering and falling in love with the music I grew up listening to. You and others like you are keeping this music alive.

I completely agree. He has reacted to many Zeppelin and old Genesis songs and really felt the music. I really enjoy his reations.
"Forward!" he cried from the rear.
And the front rank died.
50 years later, and the sax solo on Us and Them still gives me goosebumps. Thank you, Dick Perry
People will still be listening to this album in 100 years time
Pink Floyd is spiritual awakening through the music ! What a journey throughout the decades..👍🥰🤔😄😉

Awesome reaction, that is exactly how you listen to Pink Floyd, headphones on and eye's shut...
...and that's the way you listen to floyd. Well done.

Listen to this album, start to finish, and enjoy the ride. And remember, you don't listen to Pink Floyd, you FEEL their music.
Love Pink Floyd .

With, without.
And who'd deny it's what the fightings all about?
Awesome that you don’t drink !! Way to be - love your reactions !
When I look back on the 70's, there was such greatness in the music that we took it for granted 🎶
Pink Floyd is Legendary! No other band like Pink Floyd!

Headphones and a joint... sounds about right as I recall. Peace from Canada.
Hey, I remember that night.
Seen the same tour in MSG in NYC, the first time seeing them and it was a phenomenal show…

This is what we listened to through high school and college in the 70’s. This and Led Zeppelin. Imagine that! :)))
Hey, don't have to imagine it, l lived it, best time for great music and l was there🤟😉
It's hard to go wrong with Pink Floyd almost all their songs are just f****** that good
My first concert, 1973. I was 14.........!!!!!
The look on your face says it all😊
Decades from now this album will still be played and mentioned as a masterpiece of art. That's how to listen to Pink Floyd.
I can't listen to this without tearing up!

One of the perfect, 10/10 rock albums of all time. Perfect
this album was on the billboard top album charts from 1973 to 1988. for 738 weeks in a row. doubtfull that record will ever be broken...
The most profound album of all time. I like lots of different musical styles, genres, and generations. Top of the enormous pile of music I admire.
I think the transition from Us and Then into Any color you like is the best transiti n ever
Pink floyd "Have a cigar" next bro love the reaction
Very wise reaction. I'm impressed.
“Wish You Were Here” is the album following Dark Side! Fantastic!

Just one of those genius albums. What else can be said? Right people, right time. They all pulled it together in the studio.
I'm all in. Professional artistic Masterclass musicians. What production. Unheard of these days. Incapable of such wizardry.
Perfection.

My favourite album of all time. This music takes you on an outer worldly trip and spins you through galaxies that bounce and reflect light.
Pink floyd leaves you begging for morr.
Looked like you were at church in the end!
All their albums are pinnacle IMO. Their Animals album is an often overlooked gem!

Back in the day, we'd listen to this where it was "required" to know, and perfectly recite, in unison, the lyrics to "Eclipse" from memory!

Saw them in the 1990s at Camp Randall for their Division Bell tour and it was an amazing experience. Music with a laser show in a light rain....epic.
Animals or Wish You Were Here are both full albums to listen too.
