I miss your occasional little vlogs, takes me back to when YT was the place you'd go just to unwind and get away from your own life's troubles and what not! I hope you and the family are all doing well!
Showing yourself mowing the yard does sound odd, but believe it or not, those are some of the most watched videos on UA-cam right now! I think it kind of fits into that “so satisfying to watch” category.
I agree, especially in a sped-up video. I like watching people doing tasks in fast motion. It almost makes you feel "impossible" tasks are possible. :)
I so feel you on the "stuff," Cory! I think many of us are stuck thinking that our possessions can bring us happiness. We get caught in a cycle of getting more and more. I'm now on a mission to pare down. If I don't USE it, I don't NEED it! Of course, now that I just got diagnosed with ADHD and gotten medicated, I'm going to be on a mission. 😊
Aww, I love that you named the cat Kitten. My mom took in a feral and named him Kitty. XD Peaches is so cute, too, and Gadget has grown so much since we first met him! Getting rid of old stuff always feels good, it's so nice to have that extra space. I still have bags full of old books I need to see if my library will take, or if I can find a Goodwill who will take them.
"Are you still there?" Turret is the perfect name for that car. I used to watch you (better) every day,, going back to the Mean Kitty days, but life (and the YT algo) got in the way. The last thing I remember seeing was the move out of Alaska. Out of the blue, I found myself wondering what the heck you were up to. I'm glad that I did. You might be a little grayer in spots, but you're the same honest, earnest, genuine guy I remember. The years have done you well, and now I want to see more! And yeah, social media is an absolute drain, on your time, your sanity, and your mood. Good on ya for cutting the cords.
What a fantastic video Cory! Love Turret, but I sure was happy to see the orange Jeep again! :) You shared a lot of wisdom and encouragement here; I so appreciate your videos and it’s always fantastic to see a notification from you - Bless you.
I have crazy ocd and anxiety and one of the things that has really helped me is cleaning and organizing because it feels like one of the only things in life I can truly control is how clean and organized my space is!
1:24 i quit facebook years ago for the same reasons. I saw things i really shouldnt have just mindlessly scrolling. It really does mess with your psyche. Ive found my life is much happier without it and i think more positively. I think dropping social media is a good step for anyone looking to better their mental and emotional health. We dont need it.
Hi Cory, thanks for checking in, glad everyone's doing well, and thanks especially for the kitty update, great to see that Gadget has become such a sweetie, and that he's got two friends to hang with.
This hits home. I have the same mentality (and fighting it) of "ehhh, I can do that later" but then later becomes later later, and it just piles up. It's good to just start in itself, take breaks when tired, but dont give up. There was a video I saw where the lady says "don't put it down, put it away" in a very claming way. I know where this item needs to go, it takes a few seconds, let's do this, one step at a time.
I'm glad to see you possibly getting back into vlogging! It's not a bad thing at all and I too make vlogs to share experiences, record memories and hopefully inspire others. Thank you for brightening my Sunday with a vlog! 😁
Wow, I remember the living in Alaska vlogs ages ago. You've basically not aged, and I'm extremely happy to see you being just as open on camera. I hope to continue to see more!
Looks like a lot of sheds. Not organized, not ideal, but understandable given how easy it is to open a shed door and toss something inside in one's busy life. And a reminder that I really should organize my shed and figure out what things I might like to get rid of!
I have sound too. Change is good! Putting things in order and getting rid of the unnecessary stuff in my life makes me feel so much better about myself and gives me a positive outlook on the future.
The book Atomic Habits by James Clear CHANGED my life. I went from very disorganized to very organized. I realized that I have ADHD and the habit building that it created helped me change into a very organized person, and even my daughter has picked up on some of my tendencies. Other good books that helped me for similar changes to your own were, "Goodbye Things" and "The Magical Art of Tidying Up," which are books on minimalism.
What is the ultimate answer to the question of how we get so much stuff? We as humans like our things and are materialistic to a degree, no matter how much we want to admit. It's good to see another vlog from you guys. Keep them coming. Happy you got a pool to enjoy during the summer.
Change is so hard but also so rewarding. So proud of you Cory for making this decision and proving that it’s never too late to make positive changes in your life😊
Hello Turret! Welcome to the family. Please take good care of Cory and his family. I gave up all social media except You Tube and Instagram. I only check Instagram about once a month. I’m on a big declutter. I’m really getting tired of dusting stuff I never use.
About 7 months ago I decided to leave all social media, i completely deleted all my accounts. I feel a lot better since, social media is cancer, glad you are disconnecting from it as well
Clearly I need to spend a day catching up on SMPFilms and Cory. You were the UA-camr that made me want to be a UA-camr. Ah, it didn't work out for me but I had a lot of fun thanks to you. A buddy mentioned Kassem G is with Bruce Greene on their new project- Kassem G??? It sent me back through a time warp. Miss you, miss the old times on YT. Happy to see you are well. Peace.
I'm going through the same thing right now. My life is such a mess, and I spend way too much time scrolling. It also is so hard for me to get started or finish a task that I do start.
The messiest room in the house I am in with my parents is always my room. Last time I cleaned it, it took me just over 10 hours no lie. 😂. Our shed always okay as my dad has big machinery, lawnmowers, his wood for making stuff mainly in it and is mainly his domain.
Oh man...I love organizing stuff. I took a "staycation" a few months back to spring clean and organize some closets. I purged so much stuff. My advice to you is: do it in stages rather in one big purge. You will burn out. I love your mower!!! YEah Im weird
I love our aboveground pool! We got one during COVID and it saved our mental health! Unfortunately I'm from England so we don't get to use it very much throughout the year 😅
Tip: Store things in a way that makes sense as compared to how often you think you are going to use it. For example: Putting those bins of paint front and center in the shed doesn't make sense, since you most likely will not use it for years. Put those up in the attic of the shed, out of sight. This way your shed is more optically organized or it gives you more room to put stuff you actually use. :)
Take pictures of the paint color and or color codes on the cans if they are bad, then you can get rid of them. The bird seeds where probably stuff that fell on the floor that can't be sold for human consumption.
Yeah, I'm sure I've got all kinds of junk laying around I'll never use again. There's almost no spot where you can see floor meet wall, there's always a bookshelf (not holding books) or some box or some other thing obscuring that view. It's organized, but it's probably still too much stuff. And it's nice to see you vlog a bit more recently, the updates have been great. Peace, Love, and SMP. :)
Your shed is a little beat up but oh my lanta, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Have you seen how many fallen down barns there are in some of the southern states? There are some that have SO MUCH STUFF hoarded into them that you can't even see between items, lol. I do miss your vlogs, and if you do some occasional vlogs that would be amazing. It's just cool seeing how far you've come, and all the different things you've done and created. I don't remember how many years ago it was now, but I remember some vlogs you had put up about a very personal hardship that was going on. How you put yourself out there, being open, my heart broke for you and I'd hope you would get the chance to find your person. Then... you did. And that was such an amazing thing. Kristen, ever since she had shown herself in vlogs, has *always* had such a contagious smile. Then to having Chell, which I cried for. Then Kristen giving birth to Atlas, which I also cried for. The at-home birth was intense and all moms need a spa day for the things they go through to bring us into this world. I was happy because even though you were some dude on the internet posting funny videos and personal vlogs, you were still a person who deserved happiness. You *are* still a person who *deserves* happiness, regardless if you post anything or not. I'm glad you found your lobster, and your family. 💙
Looks like it's yard sale time or a donation to a women & children's home/center. If the pools hold water, you can give them to local farms. Critters love playing in the water!
I would love more vlogs. Use to turn it on and just clean, cook, fold laundry. It was good to just step away from whatever I was doing and enjoy your family too.
I have been feeling similar recently and been doing a clean out/restructure. I rarely see bad and negative stuff on Facebook so I find it a bit odd that many people mention negative stuff on there but I can understand that people do. I really have to clean out my shed too. It is less than half the size yous is but it is crammed with stuff. 4:00 You are not going to share yourself mowing as that is just weird? After you said that I got reminded of the times you and Kristen showed yourself doing yard work in Alaska vlogs and you and Kristen saying you love yard work. What I sometimes do with things I want to get rid off but hold memories but I really don't need and or have room for them anymore, I'll take photos/videos of them so I can have the memories of them without just memories. 14:20 You think your cat is small? I have a calico colored cat is around 12 years old and is smaller than your cat and is the smallest cat I have ever had. Seeing you getting rid of your Alaska boots reminded me of the video you made where you said you used to just buy any shoes your size when you saw them as you found it hard finding shoes that fit you.
You know what congratulations for consolidating it's not easy thank you!!! 💯 Some random discovery and you're like yeah that's trash lol❤ now don't feel so bad about that project I got to do
I need to switch off social media, just need to switch to a method of communicating with a lot of friends who I have no other form of contact for. It provides me no other real benefit
I got so many comments to put on here. 1) I was diagnosed with ADHD at the beginning of the year and I totally get the whole letting go part and how hard it is, what I realize is that it’s the dopamine that we need and sometimes the dopamine is not there anymore and a certain value and it’s hard. 2) Chell is getting so tall!!! And her goodbye at the end, like father like daughter am I right?
Hi Cory,I'm new to your channel. I am liking you and your family. You are a good guy . I never went to Facebook I think I'm the only person in the world who isnt, apart from you now 😄. I can't bring myself to get rid of old stuff either. Maybe I will try now.

Aww Turret ❤ haven’t seen your videos in a long while and it made me happy to see your still naming things after Portal!
Aww, I love that you named the cat Kitten. My mom took in a feral and named him Kitty. XD Peaches is so cute, too, and Gadget has grown so much since we first met him!

24:22 the wall thing you can paint with chalkboard paint for your children to use outside.
i know the feeling i'm cleaning out my room and i been doing it for 5 years. its hard to let things go

So nice to see yall so happy!!! You have come a long way since Dude Like Hella Cory, enjoy it you definitely deserve it!
Glad to see all the kitties are doing well! And increasing in number!
It's good to hear from you and your family. ❤
Glad to see you and your family are doing well. I'm also detoxing myself from social media. Lovely kitties!

beautiful house and beautiful cats
We've had sheds like that. It's hard to get in and start cleaning because I get confused about where to start. Then, I don't start.
2:32 I'm sorry but my brain went straight to making poop jokes between 2:32 and 2:44.
I have sound too.
Change is good! Putting things in order and getting rid of the unnecessary stuff in my life makes me feel so much better about myself and gives me a positive outlook on the future.
Being intentional is so important, and difficult. I'll work on that together with you!

Another great slice of life vid! You rock at these. It would be nice to see a little vlog from you every now and then :)
Thank you for sharing!!
I have been thinking of social media and have a plan to cut way back on social media, my problem mainly is TikTok.
You were literally the first vlogger i got obsessed with man, im so happy youre doing great 🔥
🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵🩷 I loved seeing a vlog!!! So good to see you all just living each day!

Those kitties are so cute!!!!
thanks for posting this Corey, i don't know why but this feels like exactly what i needed today.
Change is so hard but also so rewarding. So proud of you Cory for making this decision and proving that it’s never too late to make positive changes in your life😊

I hope you feel like vlogging again. It was fun catching up with all of you. I almost forgot about Kitty!
I’m so happy you guys have been uploading more often :’)
Also, your house is fine. This is what happens when you're living in it. It's good to see all of you.
Strange I have sound. Nice to see you!

Nice this update! Enjoy the new car ans shed.
My cat, Buffy, never got heavier than 5lbs. She was abused as a kitten before i became her human.
Oh man...I love organizing stuff. I took a "staycation" a few months back to spring clean and organize some closets. I purged so much stuff. My advice to you is: do it in stages rather in one big purge. You will burn out. I love your mower!!! YEah Im weird
Good for you, dude! Miss yall's Alaska videos! I'm glad you and the fam are doing well in Oklahoma.
Glad to hear!

Hi Corey! So happy to see you again!
My house burnt down in 2020. I’m finally getting out of survival mode. I’m going through this change too.
Possessions mean nothing. Life matters more.
We have a tiny cat named Kitten too! she is 7 yrs old and still very small
Enjoyed the vid! You saved that shed from its deathbed ! 😀
Adhd doesn't help with always having messes like that, but good for you getting it all done! Not Chell pulling the Alaska born card😂
I watched “Tidying up with Marie Condo” and that has helped me so much with letting go of things. We definitely have all been there in some way lol
Love you all! I have STUFF TOO! We're trying.....
Yay for possibly more clogs! I do miss them!
Ah, the sumo suits. I don't know if this is the reason you bought them but I know you used them for the Numa Numa parody song music video.
Your shed is a little beat up but oh my lanta, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. Have you seen how many fallen down barns there are in some of the southern states? There are some that have SO MUCH STUFF hoarded into them that you can't even see between items, lol.

🥰 Thanks for that. I needed some motivation to clean out some junk from a couple of closets. See ya later Cory
hey cory do you still have the companion cube painting I sent you when you lived in ca?
its not just a dog cage it can be for your cats when you need to take them some where
...all of us...have a "shed"......❤
Looks like it's yard sale time or a donation to a women & children's home/center.
If the pools hold water, you can give them to local farms. Critters love playing in the water!
Love electric cars, so fun to drive, so smooth and easy.
Have fun with yours, Cory!
I would love more vlogs. Use to turn it on and just clean, cook, fold laundry. It was good to just step away from whatever I was doing and enjoy your family too.

I can hear perfectly fine. Hi Cory!
Hey everyone volume is working it just needed some time to sort itself out!!!
Hi Cory,I'm new to your channel. I am liking you and your family. You are a good guy . I never went to Facebook I think I'm the only person in the world who isnt, apart from you now 😄. I can't bring myself to get rid of old stuff either. Maybe I will try now.
It's good to know you don't use social media anymore. Every so often, your personal Facebook comes up in my People You May Know recommendations. 😂
Turret is such a good name for your tesla haha! Did you program it to have some of the portal turret voicelines when you interact with it?
I would love to switch off my social media, but I need it for my business.
Cory I'll miss your social media presence but i'm happy if it makes your life easier. I've followed you since you were in your "Professional Idiot" phase many MANY moons ago. thank you for sharing so much of your life with us. I'm happy you're going thru another good transition in your life. I look forward to when you have time to post vlogs, I also want to thank you for the joy you've given me with the early films and such. Much love and hugs from Seattle.
It is called lived in! Not a mess
Showing you mowing is weird I find those types of videos soothing
that’s not bad at all!! My shed has like 3x more STUFF in it😭
The sound effect of the shed doors opening perfectly matched the dilapidated visual.
Probably haunted.....
love seeing ur vids
So you're not cleaning the pool as much invest in a sand filter. The pumps that come with that setup usually stink.
Kids are the ultimate chaos a good kind of chaos.
GADGET! OMG HE'S SO BIG NOW!!
I don’t think the shed is that bad. I see things that can go somewhere, anywhere.
" the shed of despair"-lol
I can't hear anything, I'm not sure if it's my phone or some mistake because the video is so new 😢
Waited half an hour and now I can hear it 😂
It's weird how everyone says they see such bad suff on facebook but i never do. The worst things I saw on facebook where through groups I joined, and a lot of the times it was to get people to report it as facebook only sees mass reports.
The algorithm there is too busy hiding news from me because I'm in Canada (because the canadian news wanted money from facebook so facebook just blocked all news lol) that it doesn't have time to refer me to the gross/weird stuff I guess.
WHoaaa Atlas is so big now :D
Me when I realize I was there for the sumo suits and guitar T-shirt 👵🏻
My girlfriend and I still refer to him as the "mean kitty guy"....👴🏽👵🏽
