    I've only been teaching kids for about a year, and I don't have many ideas to engage my students. I searched online and found your channel, which has been incredibly helpful. Your videos are extremely interesting and they help students practice speaking while having fun. Thank you so much for sharing!

    Thousands of thanks for great ideas. I have tried some of them at my lessons. They work perfectly, but we have another challenge. We need to teach our pupils to take a failure after competitions in appropriate way. Unfortunatly, our children accept it not as a possibility to learn something new but as a tragedy. And I am in a search of ways to teach them to take a failure as a part of our life and a small step towards success.

    • @Teacher-Val
      @Teacher-Val  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, you are right. It is not easy for some of the students to accept the fact they can't always win. Try using sport analogies. Why are there rules in sport? Why is there no "I" in team? Why is there a referee in football or basketball? :)

    Hi Val! Thank you so much for your videos. I already played blackboard football as Powerpoint-Version and Bulls Eye in my French-Classes and they loved it! (I love it as well 😂 ) I always look for new games to play. Thank you for these great games! I also watched some of your "full class" videos. It's really nice to see some teaching methods from you. I'm teaching in middle to highschool and these games and methods are still engaging and fun for the students. Greetings from Germany :)

      @@jacobbrill1923 Sooooo cool! You are a music man!!! I attended a music school when I was 10, and learned to play the classical guitar for 5 years. Piano was my second instrument. I used to compose music and write songs... but since I didn't get much audience I stopped doing it, and I don't really play anymore. All my creativity goes into my lessons which is not a bad thing altogether. :))
      Yes, I can sing with my students. There's a lesson on musical instruments which I hope I can post soon. I recorded a song for this lesson with the help of my friend (all instruments are original, and I perform it) but I'm not sure if I can publish it since it is not mine. It's an interpretation of a well known piece as known as the music man...

    • @Teacher-Val
      @Teacher-Val  2 роки тому +1

      Keep trying until you find something that works. Some students have a difficult situation in their families and studying is the last thing they want to do. You, as a teacher, need to understand the reasons behind their low motivation and then act accordingly.
