This band has changed my life. They were a safe heaven that I could seek refuge in whenever shit became too much to handle in the real world. I love this song so much. Reminds me of my husband and the relationship we had. He passed away in June and this song live made me cry but in a wonderful way. Never heard a band put more emotion in their music.

The closest version I found is on a album from the movie Going The Distance, they do another acoustic version to this song that sounds very very good I bought the album just to have that one song in my library
This is so beautiful. The cinematography is amazing in this and Mikel's honesty in his voice and his facial expressions makes it all seem much more real. This is why I love this band!

These just keep getting better, and better, and better - how do you manage to keep improving on perfection? I love the carousel and what the Calder Quartet adds to the sound; their strings fit in and enhance the music so nicely. And just how small is that piano? Then there is the respect for Anna managing to avoid falling over backward, and Mikel's insanely charismatic smile and that look over his shoulder as if to say "what ARE you doing back there?" Brilliant, yet again!

Phenomenal chemistry as a band. They feed off of each other's energy. Anna is impeccable on the viola/violin. Full of emotion yet never out of control.

My understanding is that the videos in this "bombastic" series were recorded live/on set...with no practice...one take...just fire it up and go with it...
If that's really true (?), they freaking nailed this one to the point that it's almost scary.

This in NY? Jane's Carousel? If so that is a ride that I was on many times as a young child. It was restored Idora Park in Youngstown Ohio. I think if I saw it I would break down in tears....so many great memories with that ride.
