I use a 4a and I think it takes great photos. The only reason I would have switched is for videos which i don't think Google is there yet. Maybe pixel 7...
Samsung fan here but in many cases the HDR of the Pixel is much better.. Depends on the conditions both take good photos.. A plus to Samsung for the extra zoom.

This is going to be very interesting for both companies as Google is going to still work on their own product in best picture and Samsung with the most tech you could get out of any phone.

Danny could you zoom in the pictures more often? Especially on my OnePlus pictures will often look great untill you zoom in and it's just a mess with heavy NR and high sharpening to compensate that results in a oil painting

Personally I'd pick the SAMSUNG even though the Pixel 6 seems the slightly better photographer's tool. Samsung UI and ecosystem is extensive and I prefer to grant some of my data to them rather than Google.
Until yesterday I had a pixel 4a 5G but it decided to suddenly die. I got it because of the camera and would have upgraded to another pixel if this one wouldn't have died the way it did. For the price and support given by Samsung here in Mexico I decided to give them a try. Nice to see galaxy S21 FE is a proud competitor, not overwhelmingly crushed by the pixel. I will miss my pixel nevertheless
Let's be frank, the Pixel is better in photos and the S21 Fe in video. On the other hand, what I find inadmissible is the photo processing of the Fe which has the same sensors and the same processor as the normal S21 so should logically have the same photo processing. This kind of software restrictions from Samsung is really annoying and sometimes makes it clear why Apple is always ahead when it comes to profits.
You're wrong about the s21 ultra and s21 fe having the same hardware.... they don't. They have the exact same image processing with different hardware.
I took the S21 FE back, and I'm using a S9 again. I found the nighttime pics and video with really bad quality, and I'd never posted them. Day time is okay, but I lost really cool party moments, even 1080p videos were ultra choppy.
In my opinion, there is no point in choosing there both great phones with great capabilities, and where one may lag behind usually be fixed with with soft ware and editing
Definitely disagree, if you crop and see more detail make no sense for 99% of people , when we see the overall picture how we publish that's how we should see it, many times Samsung will look better,and i don't like Samsung by the way never had one, but the photos are awesome, no one are gonna zoom out photo on instagram to see details, many times this comparison make no sense, that's why when people make blind camera comparisons, the majority of times, the "best" smarphone rarely wins.
5:22 the issue with all samsung cameras which i dont like. Complete loss of details as soon as the lighting is not perfect. Thats why i prefer the pixel 6 pro over the s21 ultra too. Much more reliable in every scenario.
Technically the Pixel is better, but is a rendering that looks too digital to me,, like if it had Lightroom sliders to the extreme. The Samsung is not more natural, but looks less processed to my personal tastes and probably easier to edit if one wishes so.
for me who likes to edit photo before sharing it in socmed, i would prefer pixel more than samsung. what i like is details in picture and consistency. but i still frustrated with pixel's video stabilization. hope they can fix it.

Why did you turn the optimizer off?? I don't know anyone that uses a Samsung that turns off the optimizer. The Google phone does it automatically.. so it's not fair the Google phone has its background photo optimizer on but Samsung's is off!!

The audio of the Pixel 6 is also nicer, fuller, pleasant. * The two new Pixel 6 phones were recently updated with fixes for bugs experienced by several owners. That helps the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro to be relevant again. I'm not a fan of Google, but the photos are nicer. And the phone costs less. * It was cool that you spotted that mistake made from the Pixel 6 on that parkometer shot.

Design - pixel for its unique 'daft punk' design. Iphone would be 2nd (if it doesnt have notch)...any other brands are just copying each other. UI - samsung - of course clean pure android is smoother but i appreciate some apps like game launcher & secure folder. Camera (photos) - pixel for me. Camera (videos) - iphone Processor - any top model is acceptable as long as it wont overheat to the extent of 'frying eggs' Price - Pixel undisputed Overall for me - Pixel What will i get at where i live (availability) - Samsung S21 FE (or upcoming S22+)

Why would u turn off scene optimizer? It's like u don't use al 3 cameras or I don't know. Computing photography is the future and I don't think there is a single person out there who turns that off, especially regular users.

I have S21 FE and yes the night shots aren't that great. But I bought it anyway because of 30X space zoom. With this I can zoom into moon and take some cool shots which the pixal can't do. So it comes down to personal preference.
@@ThePasindu depends. If you turn on adaptive battery and turn off always on display It lasts about a day with some juice left. Although initial week it was draining fast and was heating up cause of constant update and it learning to adopt to my style. Now it was good without any issue.

Samsung needs to work on controlling the exposure and color tones. But the video stabilization of samsung is really awesome.
Pixels have really improved their video game. Very sharp and detailed even though lil dark, atleast from the rear camera. Front video isnt there yet
as a s21 ultra user i can say samsung does need to work on consistency for the cameras

No the sensors are different the s21 has a 64+12+12 on the other hand s21 Fe has 12+12+8

Can't believe the issues i had with s10+ are still on 21 FE....
Samsung's background blur is objectively worse, the handrail at 5:10 shows no progressively intensified blur based on distance.
