@@MrManniG yeah, if you have a low car you go slow but you need high rpm so your exhaust doesn't get water ,but if you have a offroader you can go fast

I'm surprised that we don't see more electric cars coming through. They're really good at this. It's incredible how deep a puddle most electrics can handle.
Yes bc the battery and motors are sealed and it doesn't have an intake the only problem would be if it comes in the cabin but in such a short period of time when it goes thru it won't have time so ya mini road submarine :)))
That's why german U-Boat's became hybrid, to dive with electric motors... 😅

It depends, but most modern cars are quite built for it.

You see the steam coming from the wheels of the fording vehicles? That's the brake pad rapidly cooling from sudden contact with water. A rapid cooling of heated material result in deformation. Deformation of brake pads result in instability or failure of braking.

well that looks like a reasonable water level, the only things they're risking are loosing their license plates and/or fender flares like the guys at the begining
Put a snorkel on your car. Problem solved.
Funnily enough if you go fast enough it would be better. You either absolutely send it or go very slowly. If you go in the middle you’ll get water in the intakes. However with this water depth you shouldn’t have to worry about anything to bad

They don't realise that hitting water at speed applies massive force to the frog bumper and grill.
I wouldn't be surprised if half these cars suffered damage to the bumper mounting bolts+clips.

Tesla could be a submarine almost as the battery and the motors are completelly sealed and it doesn't really have an intake, if u seal the cabin it could be sort of a submarine. Not my words but Elon Musk's :D !
