I really think both Egghead Researcher & Eclipse are honestly among the best additions to the dragon archetype. Egghead gives you a Vox trigger unconditionally, whilst having a perfect early game defensive body at 1/3 to help get you to midgame, so he isn't even a dead card lategame, as he replaces himself either way. As for Eclipse, no other card can either refuel your hand via nightfall or give you huge board swings with daybreak as effectively as Eclipse can. It's not uncommon to turn 5/6 Eclipse and drop a Kadregin or even just a cheap Screeching Dragon or Shyvana. Just interesting how different people evaluate cards differently!
I like egghead as well but I agree with mogwai vox is just better comes down earlier and gives more value over time I ran 3 in my 1st build and he puts in work

Dragons is so versatile i could see so many versions working and i think you are right about less dragons being possible.
In my mind there is even a potential mono demacia dragon deck, but the demacia dragons could work with almost any region but you would have to tailor the way it works for each region the fact they can do that is impressive though.
Not gonna lie, I always read it as Involius but I noticed on the "Card created by Inviolus" that I was reading it wrong all this time.

Inviolus would stem from the word "inviolable" which means it can't be harmed (un-violated). Vox means "voice", so the dragon's name is basically the "Unstoppable Voice" or something along those lines.
You can tell mogwai is having fun with the game again when even though he has a good excuse not to posts, stays up all night because he's excited to show us his next creation.

@@vicio19995 the base word is Strafe. When a vowel is followed by another vowel, the first has a changed pronunciation and the second is silent (eat, pain, goat). Pronunciation also changes if followed by a consonant then another vowel (vote, strafe, kite).

only exception the "u" after a "g" followed by a "i" or "e"

Idk how well this would work but a Tahm Kench Sea monster deck, “fish Gumbo” or something. The idea would be to keep kench out and have him bayou brunch the sea monsters when they’re deep.

To me, there appears to be technical bug at 38:36. Shyvana, a dragon, killed Mentor but no dragon generated in hand after that combat. I think that's a mistake.
In regards to Eclipse dragon, I think is a good sitiational card. Best case for daybreak, you can bring out Aurelion Sol 2 turns earlier (by turn 7 if Herald of Dragons is out). On nightfall, it can refuel your hand and possibly give a top celestial follower for the finish, like The Great Beyond. It definitely helped me close out some games.
I saw a Shyvana deck that was using the 3 mana card Gift Bringer, which makes sense. Sometimes your dragons can reach 7 to 10 attack but have low health at the end. That 1 Mana full health gain is clutch. Plus it gives you a turn 3 play if you can't cheat out your dragons.
Hush would be good for the lesson decks
Also remove A'soul u won't get him most of the games and even if u get it u propaply have a good board any ways mindsplitter would be better

My version of the deck has Eclipse Dragon curving into ASol, it's funny how many times my opponent surrendered on a turn 7 ASol haha
I also play 1 of Star Spring and 2 of that Landmark removal, since Landmarks are very popular right now and Star Spring being a very strong win condition on Soraka decks, but was very awkward when enemy deck had no Landmarks and I drew the removal, so I added 1 Star Spring and surprisingly enough it helps A LOT with dragons, since they grow in size but lose HP with Single Combat and etc.
I might add Inviolus Vox tho.

with inviolus vox you get enough units to play, I don't think it's worth for star spring to just heal 1 every turn but take a spot for one more attacking unit on board

One archtype I have been working on is kind of an obvious but powerful one. Noxkraya arena with frostbite. I hope we see some of this archetype soon on this channel but I can understand if mog is hesitant since it doesn't really incorporate any new champions or many new cards minus maybe scorched earth and the landmark. Frostbite seems like a back breaking element for this rendition of dragons a riposte or some kind of buff effects wouldn't go a miss.
I personally like running multiple copies of Aurellion in this deck because the skies descend puts in so much work in the late game. This is still definitely the best dragon list I've seen yet so far, really excited to try it.

Mogwai always has big "My deck has no pathetic cards" energy when he plays Kadregrin and Inviolus and I'm here for it.
This deck is great Timmy fun.
I love shyvana and the dragon support in this new set. I opted to run a full set of zenith blades since none of the dragons have overwhelm and needed to smash through quick before control could start bouncing my stuff. I also ran a full set of vox and took Garen over sol, he was easier to lvl up and let me go crazy with attacks. Also never leave home without at least two judgments for wiping the board of blocks and attacks

I think an easy way to buff this deck is to run Garen. All of the striking gives you easy ways to level him and Shyvana up and then constant rallying wrecks the opponent. Also I think less dragons in a way does more with cards such as the egghead as you have more consistent draws with the clutch for shyvana
I am playing a Shyvana deck, and I for one, think that it is very good to have three of Eclipse Dragon. You can curve into an Aurelion Sol the round after, if you use its daybreak, and get some beefy dragons out. But then I suppose, I prefer to make a deck revolving around getting and playing more dragons, and with only a few rallies. Very different from this. I go more for late game brutes. :)

I'm currently farming for Shyvanna myself, having gotten all 3 copies of Soraka. In fact, I gotten all 3 Sorakas, not nearly from a wildcard, in quick succession! After I'm Done with shyvanna, I will try for unbenching the kench next
I think that the more we optimize our dragon deck lists the less dragons we are going to use lol. I'm currently using 7 Dragon cards + 3 Shyvana in a deck with Lux, i realised that the spells generated by Shyvana are crazy good with Lux
The trick with dragons is that u dont really need to run dragons 😅.You have egghead and inviolus to create them for you,so u can run more spells to protect them like bastion and even zenith blade. I tried it this way and worked really well for me .
@@vangeliskaraflis6401 Yep, most dragons are actually pretty clunky, i still run some as activators for the 2 mana drop with challenger, i also run Dragon's clutch to draw them if i need and it will even help Lux level up sometimes and of course filter my deck so i can have better draws.
Liked the entire video. I will say, however, that the Lee Sin ragequit was priceless.

I've been singing the praises of Inviolus Vox ever since I tried him in Warmother's! I play a Targon/Freljord version of Warmother's Call with Trundle and Aurelion Sol, and I feel Vox is also MVP there :)

I think Vaults of Helia can be very fun with demacia. It has good synergy with Quinn, Radiant Guardian, Silverwing Vanguard and a lot more.
I made my own without Asol when expansion started and it feels AMAZING.

You might wanna consider running Judgement to counter some aggro/faster spread out mid range decks to wipe their entire board even if you have only 1 dragon on the board.
The Nocturne emote during the end of the first game is so spot on
love that deck point of view, mines pretty much the same expert i run some zenith blades rather than single combats in to either buff up the lieutenant or give overwhelm to a big dragon, cos otherwise they can be chum-blocked very easily, i dont know if its right but god it feels right :)

You really are underestimating the daylight/nightfall dragon cad , sure its understated a bit but a 8 mana guaranteed A-sol is a force to be reckoned with, i even managed to put a a sol on turn 6 a few times please consider that card in the future.

I actually build vaults of helia deck with trundle -> anivia -> rekindler -> trynd -> ledros and it's hella fun! (or just skip trynd and get ledros with ice pillar)

tbh deep feels very good with stalking shadows. I haven’t tried slaughter docks but it doesn’t seem necessary when stalking shadows takes you turbodeep anyway while having way more benefits.

I decided to add Garen in my dragon deck just to add more chance of rally. im also running egghead researcher as well but I do like the idea of having brightsteel protector for some sort of protection.
Also runnning mobilize as well for even more cost reduction on dragons

I think soraka is very good with dragons too as support champion . healing dragons every attack is huge since fury tag makes them grow each turn

I've had alote of success witch riposte with dragons. Wouldn't know what to take out though. It helped me in match up against talm where before he played his capture card i attackednfor the +1/+1 and then when he played his capture care that strikes first i used riposte for the kill
Yep I tried dragon though as well its effective especially with the dragons fury keyword

I made two dragon decks. One that's very similar to yours and then a second one that uses that Landmark that causes units to attack each other.

I've made a similar version of shyvana deck but I added the new silence and didn't include strafing strike, I'm still working on it, I kinda love dragons now lol
I have tried to build a Shyvana Katarina deck with the scout dragon on top. I have mixed feelings, but I think it's a great idea.

Try the judgement it helps with wide maps and if u use it on fused firebrand it is basically unstopabble

Btw it's not strafing strike with a short a, but with a long one, like in lane
Would be more interesting if you played it in Ranked. Normals are too random to give you a good picture. But I'm definitely gonna try this list, it looks pretty good.
I think a really helpful inclusion would be Wish.
I know it sounds crazy because Wish is a horrible card, but its very common that late game dragons has a board full of heavily damaged dragons and wish heals for an insane amount of value
You should really try a copy of judgement in here dude. I've been messing around with it in my build, and People don't play around it ever, and it boosts up your dragon on each kill and will recalculate the damage on each successive strike of the spell. It can steal games you're behind in. A well played judgement will slaughter bro

I also built a Dragon deck. However, I took a different approach... I took 2 ASol because his signature spell can be interesting when games are little dragged out... But it's just an idea!
I also used that 4 drop which grants overwhelm, in order to give it to a great big Shyv
tahm & Ashe Is HIGH key legit, tahm generates a spell each turn which is brutal if you have the ice shaman and the owl dude constantly buffs your units which tahm can eat. only problem is tahm doesnt fill up the frostbite archetype weakness to spells & removal in general
honestly kind of thought a deck like that would run judgement because of how well it goes with big fury units
Usually if you get a multiple unit judgement, the game is over

ben playing shyv dragons. Daybreak priestess helps a lot with written in stars. Turn 4 5/6 seems good

Mogwai, tou always talk about how you play when you try to talk at the same time. How would you feel doing some pre-recording and talking over what you are doing. Could be for a more serious thing (like climbing maybe), and it could have its own series. What do you think?
And I know in the beginning of an expansion you probably won't have time for this, but how do you feel about that?
