- After BLACKPINK paved the way for idols to enter the world of ambassadors for luxury fashion houses, it has become more frequent for Kpop stars to seal deals with designer brands.
However, this also leads to the scenario where some celebrities are only titled but penniless ambassadors as their company had used the back door rather than letting the artists prove the legit compatibility between them and the brand, leading to the idols receiving little to no exclusive treatment.
However, there are also idols that are so valuable to a brand that they are literally indulged in privileges and also have their image elevated to the next level after being taken under the brand’s wings.

MY POV: Jisoo is on another level in terms od impact in the fashion world, she has that "spark" that makes everyone love her, her way of being is humble and nice. It is super beautiful. That's why Dior doesn't let her go, to the point that they fight it with Cartier for her. We are talking about the some of the most importants brands in the world. The budget that those 2 brands manage could be the 10 that other idols manage. DIOR is one of the top 5 brands of the LVMH group, and they have 75 luxury brands, just imagine the level Jisoo has; and finally, making a bag of the same design that was made especially for PRINCESS DIANA. Unimaginable for any other ambassador.
Yeah, that was clearly tied to Dior knowing the positive impact she has had on their sales. Plus let's be honest, while such a purse is outrageously priced at retail, it really doesn't cost the company that much to have a purse made by one of their craftsmen. However, it is the prestige of having a copy made of an item specifically for you, that is the real reward. Jisoo could put that purse in an acrylic case in her home next to a photo of Lady Di carrying the original and have this incredible conversation piece that can only be seen if you are a close friend of Jisoo or are a top level Dior ambassador and can see the original in Paris.

The difference is the others idols with others brands get like 1 million. All because the impacts JIsoo has in social media or in general. So, if a random idol is a ambassador for 10 differents brands but his/her sales or impact is low the money is less. (Sorry for my English, I will explained better in Spanish, but this is my level of English 😅)

NJ was not on them and one of them was in 16th place in the table of 16. I feel sorry for them because they are still young and talented. I think their agency is taking them in the wrong direction.
