MK4 bucket broke a shift cable

I broke a shifter cable on the way to work. I had to drive 2 hours one way to get the only part available near me. Cable installation DIY

I have a 2011 manual Jetta do you think I can see my cables from the interior and do I gotta go from underneath? Having the same issue you explained at the start
