Very nice set up 🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘👍 With the water tank you can always use one tank when you are free camping 🏕, and then you have one in reserve, but there is always a but, you can have a tap between the two tanks and the night before you go you open up the tap and the two tanks will be equal, safe travels 🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🍺🍺
Our previous caravan had that torsion suspension. That suspension is fine for European roads and for people who take short vacations. That’s my opinion but I’ve had many disagree saying it’s perfectly suited for Australian conditions. Well after 3 years we sold that caravan and upgraded to a true semi off-road. It’s not independent suspension but heavy duty leaf. 2 years full time on the road it’s been amazing, Leaves the torsion suspension for dead.
@@OurAdventuresDownunda pretty much. Like most things…opinions on social media you need to take with a healthy dose of salt. Honestly in regard to travelling around Australia and general caravanning etc I would say 50% of what people call gospel is total horse shit.
Looks great! We want to upgrade our suspension to Cruisemaster as well but it depends on the coin as there's a few other things we want to get done on our van too!
Interesting video. Thanks for your info. Have been interested in the Snowy vans. We agree, the suspension is lacking, as well as ground clearance. Also the chassis is not fully rust protected (inside and out) . These are the main reasons we have not moved forward to purchase one yet. The exterior of the Snowy River vans look smart. How has the suspension upgrade been going ? Have you travelled off road with it much? How’s the furniture in the van been holding up, in particular the drawers and cupboard doors ?
Van is alot better now we have done the suspension i recommend it 100% cabinets etc are holding up well now i wouldnt worry to much about chassis i would never get gal dipped its to heavy
Hey mate so our gvm went from 3000 to 3300 kg but we could have went to 3700 but no point going so heavy when we didnt need it.. the xt suspension is very good mate if your thinking about it i say go for it i love how ours performs now
The clear hose on your tanks is not a good idea, all the caravan manufacturers use the black coloured hosing because it restricts daylight into the water as that can cause algae and organisms to grow.
That price is better then I thought. Considering vans with xt suspension are 110k+ and your can was around 80k? That's a bloody good option. I just read bad comments about the cabinetry and poor finishing in snowy. Has yours been good? Cheers
Van is good… few things they could do better but same with any brand i just fix things as i see them and make it better but yeah we got the van for $70k and now with xt setup and full enerdrive offgrid setup its still just under 100k
Not in my opinion mate i can always add air but i prefer mechanical setup very hard for a spring to fail an air leak is much more likely.. plus the xt handles extremely well hey i love it honestly we have done hundreds of ks of rough roads now and nothing at all moves inside the van its does so well.
I just want to say that that suspension system is really reliable, perfect for family camping and people who want to go off roading
100%
Very nice set up 🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘👍

After watching you 12months review just today as we expect our STC21 end of September I’m going for this upgrade. Cheers buddy
We love this suspension mate its makes a huge difference hey

No mate its spring and shock setup
@OurAdventuresDownunda Thanks for that all the best mate 👍

Hi, I am interested in your retrofit cruise master… moreover, what is the cost to have it done ??
Cheers
It cost us around 11k from memory best bet would be to give cruise-master a call direct
How much did you gvm upgrade mate? I would change single type Xt off-road type
Hey mate so our gvm went from 3000 to 3300 kg but we could have went to 3700 but no point going so heavy when we didnt need it.. the xt suspension is very good mate if your thinking about it i say go for it i love how ours performs now
I got the same van im looking at doing the same as you is there anywhere in wa that does it do you no
Unsure on that one mate i suggest calling cruise master
Which state is your van registered in? I note Cruisemaster only certifies for QLD? Thanks.
Qld mate
Im not sure how they certify etc mate

Its on my list of jobs mate 100%
snowy river need to offer cruisemaster as an option, still not sold on these vans once you get them out on the corrugations
Our handled everything great! Cruise master know what they are doing thats for sure
