I think it can only be used in situations where like, your ally is getting gripped and you do this to blow them up and do some damage since they'd be dead anyways But that needs a very big range because if it's mid range then, just try to cancel the grip manually

This could actually be hypothetically useful. If you're in a situation where you're unable to save through command live or return and an enemy is preparing to reaper them, you could prematurely explode the ally to prevent a health pack and deal damage to the person attempting to get health & finish them off. But tbh, just have either resurrection or even corrupt preservation / normal reaper ATP. I feel like this is just a nerf to Vow of Mastery by making Live take an extra talent to obtain.
