With the "3 inventory space instead of 10" point, I totally understand at a gameplay standpoint but I don't think the devs would do that since the 10 item thing is based off the Earthbound series (where items are also OP lmao 💀)
yeah you're kinda right, support does suck, but only for now. in demo 2, the max damage debuff you can have is -3, and the lowest amount of damage you can do is 1. should also probably mention cure and support are getting buffed, there'll be more support cards in demo 2 like sp wire where you can give 5 sp to an ally, some cards become easier to obtain like defense boost (currently can only be obtained from killing enemies) and ice dagger won't give defense in demo 2 so the defense boost card will be very important. and card stacking (doubles the effect the card inflicts/gives, at the cost of doubling sp cost), which is only useful with cure so far because burn for 4 turns with 2 fire ball cards isn't exactly good
That's what am saying, it's literally demo 1 and making straight Tier list and judges is still stupid, of course people can complain but what many people like myself are saying, ''It's demo 1''
i can also say from experience that in demo 2 a support (mostly healer) is very strong and great to have (they saved us from death countless times on floor 29)
I have a few sentences to say sentient statue used statue smash! “Amazing!” -32 HP! (Player name collapsed!) (Player name 2) used resurrect! (Player name 2) used cure!” (Player name 3) used free poison!” (Player name) used line bounce!” -1hp -1hp -1hp -1hp then all the sentient statues got poisoned
Ah heres the thing Support class' usage depends on the team. If your team will cause you to burn through your items, the cards are useful. If theyre able to dodge mostly, then it sorta renders you somewhat useless. Also, in the demo, theres 2 cure cards. And yes, they stack in both sp and hp. Given this is a mechanic, i feel the minus attack is a GOOD tradeoff. Hear me out on this one. The support role needs to do SOMETHING other than let teammates carry. Hence why i only use resurrect and cure from the mentioned cards. Of course, this gives me a lot less damage. Which WILL cause me to need to use a lot more items to deal damage, as well as using a lot of sp. I still am reliant on my party, but i do need to play defence as well so as to restore sp. Hence why i use safeguard. Sacrifice is only really a good idea if you can dodge well. I also rely on counters as most of my damage output, given my basic attacks do nothing against ⅓ of the enemies. Support class is all dependent on your skills at the game. I have to not use sacrifice as im not a consistent dodger. Especially when going into new areas (ive beat every part of demo 1 so im referring to demo 2). Thats why i use safe guard and thorns to guarentee damage if im hit. I usually use items as a last resort of sorts. If most of the party is dying, i would use an iron cafes special. Though i do use some items to assist in battles. Edit: remember to swap out useless cards when your by yourself lol
As the battle between the strongest sorcerer of today and the strongest curse in history was going down, the dishonored one… wait what the hell is this?
Cure card was been buffed, now only need 2 sp (ressusect now need 4 sp and 1 self revive that automatically happens if you have enough sp, happens once, or more with more ressusect cards.)
Back when the Level cap for demo 1 was 12, I got my hands on a 50SP file. It’s been the closest thing ive used to a reasonable support, though it’s very restrictive as i have base HP and BP overall, yeah we ought to wait a few demos to make support better. The fact that the pit lets you easily leave and return to later floors makes it even less of a concern
@@GarciaGamingFR it was funny edit: also, it was reduced to 9 because they changed the xp drops of several enemies, like banished knights and sentient statues (the main 2 enemies that farming let you get past level 9)
i think support should support should revolve around the items, like using 2 items in one turn, increasing the likelihood of an effect from a card working, etc, etc
I think this is an amazing solution, 10 slots feels pretty extreme and card abilities feels kinda scrappy it would be nice to have more strategy over what item to have by limiting the invetory, ( maybe like 4 or 5 tho ) maybe they can also have caps to how much of one item you can have
My guess for why the cards feel really outdated compared to the abilities is probably because the cards were made first and the foods were made later on in development and were accidently too op comparing to cards
The idea is pretty good, I feel like the items should be capped at how much people are in your party eg. 2 in party = 5 items 3 in party = 3-4 items and 4 in party = 2-3 items
this card is pretty good when paired with sp regen card when going for a defense build as you can infinitely heal because you have two turns before the enemy when doing solo battles
You can stack cards together. doubling the cures heal and cost, and another good support card is item+ to use items as support better by buffing their values a bit. Then theres the def boost but we dont talk about that
I sorta wanna see an updated opinion on this since the new update for demo 2 really made heal useful as it can stack. and resurrection can revive yourself once per fight, making it really good for solo runs.
Ok as much as I get the point here, support will probably be more expanded but cure and sacrifice can be useful when paired with the right cards and role. Although, it also HEAVILY depends on the team’s units and strategy, so maybe it’s more melee focused or supportive in that scenario. Another thing, this is just a demo and of course it won’t have that much in it. I do agree that if you do have healing items it can counteract the cards entirely, however if you’re running low during battle: that’s when it’s more useful. I have at least 20+ hours in this game to know almost each card in the game and I can definitely say that being support is very minimal at the moment. However, I still think these cards aren’t useless and just “bad”… no not by any means. Sure, you could definitely have an advantage with the Iron Cafe specials and drinks. But you only 10 spaces in your inventory, so you might run out. Or maybe not, who knows but: what if someone in your party does run out of items. What do you do then? This is actually when these cards become much more viable in battle, especially resurrect and sacrifice. What if you have a central healer and that support is slowly dying? Would you heal yourself or that player… well you would heal that person of course. Anyways… I may or may not of defeated the purpose/point of this video. anyways!
A fix would make it so you have a inventory of 20 but are able to use/bring 4 items to a fight. And with Item+ you can use/bring 4 more items into a fight. Alternatively there could also be a 'item power' system where some items having different power amounts meaning lesser items have less 'IP' than some high tier ones. Food for thought.
2 charge + free poison + knight and use power stab is my usual strat because free poison already disables ball and I can do insane damage because charge stacks and I’m using knight and if they survive then the poison will either kill them or get them to low hp so I can just use normal sword
support isnt mean to do damage i myself carried my friends on pit floor 19 and only a single person died (the "special" one died btw) against the 4 statues and i didn tattack a SINGLE time just spamming focus ice dagger cure and items the whole way thats is waht support is meant to do
in demo 1, getting a crap ton of bombs along with the item+ card was popular now it isnt because of bombs and even storm tea being nerfed to the ground
I mean it's not that bad if you have party use cure ONLY for when your teammates low health, "why not use a healing item?" We don't have ANY so... PLS ONLY use if you don't have any healing item AND YOU AND YOUR TEAMATES IN LOW HEALTH
