People tend to forgot that MANU has also so called "football board" that has for example SAF as director. That cannot be only ceremonial position. I bet SAF has been calling many shots
It's critically important that he clears out ALL the mediocrity from ALL levels, including players. There's been far too much tolerance for incompetence, indecision, lack of vision, strategic planning, disastrous negotiations with transfers, accountability, scouting etc. We're a shambles and it must be rectified ruthlessly, efficiently and quickly. We've wasted a decade and been surpassed by our rivals, the rot must stop before it's terminal.

These next couple of years are the most important in our history because they will decide of we're going to remain a big club or continue to slide into mediocrity, irrelevance and terminal decline. The club need to agree on a style of play and forward strategy. They then get the manager to implement it and the players to deliver it. If a manager leaves or a player moves on it’s no problem they just keep to the plan and get the personnel the plan.

The most critical link in an organisation with a board and a management team is between the Chair and senior manager (CEO in this case). Get that right and you have clarity of vision and the purpose of the roles in the org. The Board should be employing and listening to experts to inform their vision (let's hope their vision is more than "get rich"); while the Chair oversees the strategy, it's communication and dealing with complaints; with the CEO as the ultimate manager of the required experts and resources. Between them they set out the function and resource requirements (experts) to achieve the Boards vision and carry out the strategy. Warning - A vision is not necessarily long term, though it normally is.
That is why these changes at the top are so critical for Man U, because since the Glazers took over the CEOs have been financiers rather than football club experts. That has caused a problem in developing a football vision and the strategy to achieve it. There is a question that the Glazers even had a vision or strategy beyond finance.

By revamping the hierachy with proper footballing people we can finally implement long term strategies that'll benefit us now & the long term. No more short term signings together with Ten Hag there needs to be a proper style proper communication between all parties. All key decisions have to be agreed. These changes will have a vast improvement in how the club operates where we'll no longer piss money away sign players we shouldn't be signing aswell aswell as dish put ridiculous contracts to players. More stability is whats needed. If players arent happy at the club get rid of them build around the players that suits the vision long term of the manager

Certain channels want to put a negative spin on Jim coming in but I just want to point out United HAVE spent a lot of money even if it’s not directly from the glazers pockets they’ve just recruited poorly and overpaid.
With Jim he’ll control the footballing side of things and he has the potential to rid of the deadwood in the staff and recruit people in who know how to properly scout and recruit based upon a managers style of play and system.
United don’t need Jim to come in and spend £500M on the playing squad, they need him to come in appointment the correct CEO and the correct DOF.
Some people won’t like this but shift out your high earners; rashford , sancho , Bruno , Varane , Casemiro , Maguire , martial etc
United need to overhaul the contracts of players, stop basic them such a high basic wage and start including performance based bonus incentives. Rashford is one example played his socks out for a new 300K deal then he got it now what’s he done? Absolutely nothing rarely wants to put a shift in because he knows regardless of performance he’s getting 300K a week minimum.
United could definitely use a feeder club in Europe too, start poaching the best talents early from your South Americas , North American, Asia’s etc and send them on loan for a season or two to adapt to Europe then if they’re good enough integrate them into the first team. It would save a lot of money doing this instead of letting players go sign permanently for a club so you can keep an eye on them and if they develop how you predicted then you pay 5/6x the amount you could of paid to begin with.

Jean-Claude Blanc is in charge of INEOS Sport. I doubt he will be CEO in long term because not many people can manage dual roles at different companies in different places. He most likely will help out then they hire another CEO who answer to Jean Claude Blanc.

I think even i had doubts at Jim's acquirement. I started to look at the big picture and for the long-term fixing United need ineos is the best shot we have at doing it quickly. Of course Qatari money would have been great but they don't have sporting experience, they would be throwing money around alot, and believe me money isn't always the correct solution to a situation like this. Jasim is a fanboy and as a fanboy we usually spent money on thing we love ( not in Jasim level am not rich)but that doesn't naturally mean that we make the best choices and that may be what will happen if he comes in. But Jim has decades of experience and althoughnot the same amount of money but in this project an experienced owner will be much more preferable than one with alot of money. Let's look at it this way do you want to be in extravagant fast growing project like Dubai that without the oil money may collapse or a steadily built city like Singapore that is as a result of a thought out structure and will last longer because it has been built longer. Tell you this take away Guardiola and City would be nothing if they didn't get him when they did, lets see them when he leaves for a few years. That's what i got ro and saw the practicality of Jim more than Jassim.
The Qataris would’ve just brought in the best in class in each department. The new stadium and training ground would be started immediately. I don’t think the stadium upgrade will happen unless the glazers are removed which I doubt will happen anytime soon if ever but I do agree that beggars can’t be choosers. We just have to give Ratcliffe the time and if he at least gets the sporting side sorted it would put us in a way better position.

Sometimes bringing the best in the business is not the best combination, look at the amount of quality players they've had and yet they fail to win a single ucl title, I won't hold that against them, ucl ain't easy, but the last thing I want United to be is a club that throws money at their problems that's not how the game was supposed to be. They (Qataris and Saudis) have ruined football, no one can have a consistent infolw of talent from the academy as the academy was supposed to be, everyone has to spend to actually be good, I don't want United to be that, I want it to be a football club that is consistent to the natural mechanics of football. Good marketing, great coaching, healthy and crucial academy, direction based board and an all round culture based club that cares more about football than money. It isn't what is in the market right now but trust me the way football is going, not many teams will survive it, the old ways Will be the antidote to the poison that is spreading right now.

Looks like a recipe for more infighting; Jimbo will be wanting to increase his share of ownership whilst the Glaziers will be trying to increase the share price, with the club getting into more debt.
Nothing will change let alone improve until the glazers are gone. Unfortunately for the fans the glazers are not going anywhere for the foreseeable future so I'm still not convinced that United are moving forward.

I think the glazers would welcome him as CEO of the club. He’s a step up from anything we’ve had before.
We're a PLC. Blanc will be CEO. The CEO is the most senior executive and is responsible for the day to day running of the club.

I don't think Sam was suggesting that ETH would have zero say in transfers/incoming players inthis structure - the title change was meant to symbolise the reduced responsibilty that ETH would have vs now where he seems to be the leading/only voice on who we bring in.
The 'Head coach' or 'Manager' titles mean different things at different clubs so there's no reason to assume that he wouldn't have a say. Carlos Quieroz at Real was a LONG time ago.
