Nice photobook, very nice compositions! Loved the two page wide cat on the lap! Can I ask you what kind of photobook is that among those available on the website. Just to have a clear reference of what can be obtained ...
The book is great. The print seems very good. The portraits challenge me to achieve such results. Not yet. What lens did you use for the full face portraits? Please show more books. It can teach us a lot. Also, please let me compliment you on your positive take on life. You inspire your viewers to live better.
I really liked it. Nice music too. Sometimes when a video ends UA-cam just goes right to the next thing and jars me out my thoughts but this is nice because I can look at your images while considering the ideas and thoughts you challenged me with in the video.
Words cannot express how heart lifting this video is to see a great human being receive such a generous act of kindness from one of his subscribers. Everyone who watches Mr Wongs channel will benefit from this remarkable gesture , god bless you for your generous donation.
Given an OM1. I must confess I have dreamed about being able to do that for you myself because your channel and attitude is so inspirational. I have never heard of this ever happening in any other community. Must be that the 43rds community is unique.
Hey OM systems, Robin deserves an apology and a huge thank you and yes an ambassadorship for all that he does to inspire so many of us to stay loyal to your brand.
I have to say Robin despite you saying that everyone has reviewed the OM1 to death I would still like to hear one from you. Just the way you put things across and the detail of your explanations would be worth listening to. I got one of these a few months ago after trying lots of other systems and everything just feels right about it. Look forward to your next videos and really happy for you. Although your enthusiasm never waned it is obvious that it has been elevated to another level. All the best.
Wow! A big "thank you" to the generous donor of the OM-1. Thank you for your belief in Robin and in his work. And wow, Robin, giving away your precious EM1-3 is a very generous gesture. Your friend is really blessed to have a friend like you. God bless J the OM-1 donor, Robin and his friend :)
Thanks for the kind words and yes, my friend really does deserve the E-M1 Mark III. It is only fair for me to pay it forward, after all I got the OM-1 for free. I do feel very blessed not only to have the OM-1, but to have everyone being here!
Hey Robin, I am very impressed with you ! and the way you handle things ! The unexpected ups and downs ! Your strong character is evident. As they say, "you must have had a good childhood education" or "you must come from a good family." If everyone paid forward as you have done (and Jay too), how great things would soon be for so many people!
Thanks, you are too kind with your words, appreciate that. I believe in balance in life, the only right thing to do is also to give my highest value camera away!
I am an old man and quite content with my photography. I watch Robin’s videos mainly because it is heartwarming to see such a likeable and charming person. He genuinely lifts my mood and I can’t think of anyone more deserving of a gifted camera. I rather hope he wins the lottery. Best wishes Robin.
The OM-1 gift is amazing news to hear. If there’s anyone out there deserving of this gesture it’s clearly you. I’m looking forward to seeing your images from this new camera. Congratulations!
Robbin, congratulations on the 'new' OM-1. I don't have one yet, but it is clearly a stellar camera with amazing features and capabilities. You will certainly continue to produce outstanding results, as you are a very skilled photographer. Often, new gear gives us a much welcomed creative boost, and I pray that this camera does that for you. I appreciate your blessing someone else with your E-M1 Mklll -- the world needs much more of this kind of thoughtfulness. Also, I want to commend you for your decision to accept this gift -- as that was a true blessing to 'J', who appreciates all you have done to help other photographers over the years. I once photographed a wedding where the bride's grandfather was dying of lung cancer -- he was going to escort her down the aisle with his oxygen tank. He knew this would be his last wedding and knew how special it was for his granddaughter. At the wedding rehearsal, which I attended, he pulled me aside and said he wanted to give me his much beloved Canon AT-1 camera and lens. I accepted, and I know that he was very blessed to gift his camera to me for photographing his special time with his granddaughter. That was about 20 years ago, and I still have, and treasure that camera. Like Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give, than to receive."
Thanks Greg, and whoah! Thanks, thanks so much for sharing your personal story. I really appreciate that and it was such an honor receiving the Canon AT-1! That must have been the most memorable wedding you have shot, I can only imagine. Indeed, I agree with you, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
@@robinwongAlways do what your heart tells you to do,because a proud heart can survive a general failure and such a failure doesn't pick its pride ! As Great Men have big hearts.
If someone does deserve this gift it is definitly you Robin. I entered the M43 with the OM-1 as soon as it was released. A couple of days later a thunderstorm came up. A quick search about Live Composite brought me to your channel. I watched your lightning video and BAM, with the first usage of this mode i nailed an image of a lightning striking 3 areas in a town nearby. The photo was published a day later in the local news. Since then ill check your channel every evening. Thank you for doing what you do. Greeting from Austria / EU J great move, your place in heaven shall be reserved!
Congratulations Robin🙏😊 your honesty on equipment review and your no nonsense tips and suggestions in every video does have a place in every enthusiast photographer’s heart, it’s credibility. Congratulations to J, you have good eyes in picking the right person 🙏
No one is more deserving to receive a gift like this! You've done so much for the m43 community, and I can't wait to see the content you make with the OM1.
WOW WOW WO THIS COULDNT HAPPEN TO A NICER MORE DESERVING PERSON. Congratulations Robin. And BLESSINGS to the incredible subscriber that contributed to your work.🤗👍🙏
The gift of an OM-1 from one of your subscribers is very generous. I know you'll make good use of it. The content from you, Rob and Peter (among others) has been very useful to me, especially since I bought an E-M1 Mk II about a year ago. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations Robin! Thank you “J”! Robins content and UA-cam channel is a great gift to us. Looking forward to all of the renewed and inspired content coming from this gift. It is truly a gift to all of us here on UA-cam.
"J" where ever you are, thankyou for doing this for Robin, and for all of us who watch & learn from Robin. I live in Melbourne Australia. "J" you are a fair dinkum bonza bloke. Robin shares his knowledge with us, you have given our teacher a truely wonderful gift, Robin will share.....
Hi Robin, a video full of emotions, you are a wonderful person, your videos, your posts are always rich in content, well reasoned, full of reflection and also didactic, always well explained, you are a true master in photography, both technically and artistically. To share this wonderful experience, and to share your wealth of knowledge and experience with the whole community, make you Robin, an exceptional person..... Thanks again Robin for the great work you do for all of us, sharing your experience from your great wealth of knowledge. 🎉💯❤🎵🎶🎵 (Translate from Italian to English with Google translate)
Thanks Vincenzo, I appreciate the kind words and show of support. I share what I can because I do want more people to enjoy photography as much as I do. And I believe photography is for everyone. I will continue to share what I can, and I am making more content as we speak.
So incredibly happy for you Robin! And you paid it forward, so many kudos for spreading the camera love to your good friend. I'm excited to see how this OM-1 performs. Your street work and shutter therapy goes way beyond what most others do when reviewing cameras. At the core, reviews can be boring, it's the real world use that gives me the best info.
Thanks Sean, appreciate the kind words and show of support. I got the OM-1 for free so it is only fair to also give away my highest value camera, the E-M1 Mark III.
Hi Robin. Glad that you have the OM-1 in your hand. As far as I know the OM-1 is equipped with stacked sensor and as for today only a few cameras have that feature. After you take enough photo and video, could you please make a video discussing about the benefit of having stacked sensor in real life situation both for photographer and videographer (sharpness, low light performance, etc)? I am curious if the presence of stacked sensor justify the high price tag of this camera (compared to other olympus or any other MFT camera with just normal sensor). Thanks.....
I don't think the image sensor is what the OM-1 is all about. The improvements in EVF, computational photography, AF (especially tracking and subject detection), video capabilities are what made the OM-1 great. The image sensor does not bring many improvements based on many reviews available out there. I will scare my thoughts soon.
Hi Robin, today I have looked this video. I like you a lot. Not only of your videos, that give me a lot of inspiration,. That you give your "old" camera to someone who need it, shows that you are a good man. Thanks for all!
I am an olympus user.Robin you are a honest wonderful person I love watching your yuotube content.if olympus has not recognized you they are a losing potential ambassador. This is is an eyeopener
Thanks Nath for the vote of confidence, and appreciate the support. Whatever has happened, happened and it is time to move on. Let's shoot more photos!
Hi Robin - I wanted to congratulate you for receiving this gift which is a token of how much the community cannot thank you enough for your contribution. I came to photography with a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P93 and then got more serious with a various of Nikon DLSRs. But I lost the taste of taking pictures at some point for various reasons. You are one of the few people that I follow that helped jump back to photography, where I sold all my Nikon gears to switch to Oly m43 system for a few years now. I cannot describe how excited I have been with the system! I always have my camera with me!!! Warmest thanks to you for your work. This mean comment doesn't even deserve any attention. Keep smiling, being positive, we definitely feel through your videos !!!
Hi Robin, you talk about your chum still using his 10yr old camera. I'm still using my OM4ti which i've had and used for more than 40yrs, as i still find it easier to use than my OM-d-EM5-1. Still works fine, but film is a bit of a bugger to get hold of. Cheers!
I've neglected to thank you for the many Olympus tips that have helped me get what I need from my camera. So thanks Robin. Your videos have helped me a lot.
This makes me happy to hear this. Not just because you finally have one, but because there are more people who feel the same as me about what you bring to the m 4/3 world of photography. Since seeing your video about why you are not buying an OM-1. I have hoped for some windfall of money so I could send one to you. As recently as this morning I saw that video link on youtube and thought the same thing. Ironically I go by Jay lmao When you said that name I did a double take to make sure I didn't zone out and send you mine. lol But no it's here on my desk. So thanks to Jay and thank you for all you do Robin. Looking forward to many more videos and what you can do with the OM-1
You are going to love it! And I'm happy you got one now because I know you will find some awesome tips and tricks related to the OM-1. It has been amazing for videos as well. Can't wait to see all the new content!
In essence, J's gift benefits all of us. This is amazing, Robin. And I am so happy to see your review of the OM-1 as I am considering changing from my current model and need the input!
Robin I can't think of a nicer or more deserving guy. I am so pleased for you. I traded in my e-m1 mk2 and a whole heap of random camera gear and received a lightly used OM-1 a few weeks ago. I love your videos and your positive attitude inspires me. Looking forward to many more vids from you :D
Hi Robin, if one deserve this camera, it's you! I've watched your whole feed after buying my first OM-D EM 5 II used and I think you (and the other guys/gals you're meeting soon) did/do more for the Olympus/OM-Brand than the official channels ;)
Thanks Bugi, you are too kind, and well, time to move on, and the important thing is, we are still here, I will make more content, and lets shoot more photos!
What a wonderful gift you have received with the OM-1! And what a wonderful gift you are for all of us who enjoy your videos! Thanks for being here for us!
I am really happy for you, very well deserved! Also kudos to the kind person giving it to you! I am sure we will see some pretty nice pictures from your new cam soon. :)
Glad your passion is back! Had always enjoyed your sharing on the usage of Olympus products as I felt they are more of a personal experience. Looking forward to your sharing on the OM-1!
Thank you Robin for all you do! You are truly a gift to this community and are so deserving of this generous gift. Thank you to Jay for your generous gift, honoring Robin for all he has done and will do! Looking forward to seeing what’s next!🙏
That is awesome Robin! You put so much work into you're videos and you present them with such enthusiasm that we enjoy watching every single one. If anyone deserved this, it was you. Thanks whoever gifted Robin this camera!
Robin, you deserve to have the best photographic tool for work and also for your tutorials 😅not only does that give viewers more insight into the OM-1 and it brings your content more relevant to what a lot of people are using. Keep it up 👍
Robin ....I am so happy for you ...although I have lost my EM1 due to a main board failure I still love the M43 and hope to one day get back into the system....your inspiration is infectious ....be well
Hi Robin, I’ve been following you for more than a year and I am pleased to say that I really like how honest you are in your opinion. My OM 1 has arrived yesterday and I’m really exited to use it. My last camera is Sony Alfa 200 bought in 2011 and due my private life, I put photography a bit away from my the last few years. But I’m back and looking forward to join you in the OM1 discovery. I have so much to learn with your videos 😊!!! Thank you for making them 😊
I don't know how I missed this episode. But I'm so glad that I caught it. I'm very happy for you. Good jobs are rewarded. I look forward to future episodes. You're one of my favorites.
What an amazing gesture that could not have happened to someone more deserving. Hope you enjoy the camera Robin and looking forward to all the content you create from it!
The gift is well deserved. There are not too many people who produces such great content as you do. I use my 0M’s for my private (retired) vision. I have had my frustrations with them and learned what I have done wrong. Some of the information has made this process so much better. My OM 1 is an old film camera. I love all the film cameras. Pentax too. Digital, OMDS! My “go everywhere” camera is a TG6. Have a great day! Enjoy the new camera and lens.
Waaw! This realy something else. Dear Robin, i don’t have the financial capacity to give you a OM 1. But your ” let’s do this” intro every time puts a warm smile on my face. I hope that also mean something to you. I bet the person who gave you the OM 1 feels the same 😉
One thing about the digital teleconverter. After turning it OFF, you can do raw data edit in camera on any RAW images and make a jpeg that shows the FULL image field of view. I was going to make a video about it but it's true if people check. I think this is another advantage of shooting in raw plus jpeg mode.
What a teacher you are Robin, thanks so much to you for such amazing job with this channe,l, even i´m not an Olympus user anymore, i won´t forget what i have learned from you and Rob Trek
Greetings Robin from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. I have been following you for a while. and have been following MFT and OM1 System. I appreciate your channel and really like your photo book.
Great talk Robin, and well done for standing up against that awful comment. Very jealous of your new acquisition but I have to say you deserve the wonderful gift. I'm still shooting with the EM1 Mk 1, at 16mp I find it a great camera.
When I heard Robin read that comment my mouth just dropped to the floor. Some people are just so ignorant IMHO. Robin is a gift to the Micro 4/3 community.
Thanks Nick. I guess I put the comment there to show that I do get some weird comments. And hey, the E-M1 is still a fantastic camera. I have a content about that coming very soon.
@@robinwong Yes indeed, I'm glad you're still going! I remember you used to do a lot of black and white street photography, and also remember when Malaysia when through some political turmoil.

Thanks Jay, appreciate the kind thoughts and show of support. J is indeed the MVP here. I am glad the OM-1 is here and more content to come for sure.

In essence, J's gift benefits all of us. This is amazing, Robin. And I am so happy to see your review of the OM-1 as I am considering changing from my current model and need the input!
That is more than generous. Never doubt that what you are doing helps people all around the world. You make a difference.
Thanks Plato, appreciate that!
Thanks David for the show of support. Glad you have the OM-1 too. Making more content and sharing them soon!
Wow! Good for you, hope it enables more creativity 👌 AND paying it forward. Friend material right there!

I cannot wait to see your videos on the new camera!
I have the OM-1 (after years working with the EM-1 mark i), and I am blown away by it.
Thanks. The OM-1 is a huge upgrade from the original E-M1 for sure.
That is awesome Robin! You put so much work into you're videos and you present them with such enthusiasm that we enjoy watching every single one. If anyone deserved this, it was you. Thanks whoever gifted Robin this camera!

Thanks Darko, appreciate that!
Good on you , Robin! Keep moving forward.
You make good points on the fisheye. I do have ND filter set that works with the 7-14 and my 8mm . Good points Robin. Good conversation.
Thanks Lordvader, appreciate you being here
Congratulations and very well done and thanks to your benefactor. There are lots of good people around.
Thanks Huw! Indeed J is the MVP
You deserve it, great idea of passing on a gift. ❤
Absolutely thrilled and happy for you in receiving the OM one. Many blessings to you Robin!
Thanks Allen, appreciate that, and yes, more content to come for sure
Well deserved Robin! 😁 👍 And kudos for "J" !👏 👏👏
What an amazing gesture that could not have happened to someone more deserving. Hope you enjoy the camera Robin and looking forward to all the content you create from it!
Thanks Mehul, appreciate you being here and yes, I am making more content for sure.
Thanks so much, you are too kind with your words. TG-6 is such an underrated camera!
Well said Robin. I do believe in you. Thank you for everything you do.
Thanks Karel, appreciate that
Thank you for coming back! 😊
thanks as always
Thank you for this awesome video Robin 👍🏻Keep it up the good work 💪🏻
Whoa! There are some really generous people out there. Well deserved gift. Also your street photography book looks amazing 😍
Thanks Noman, and glad you liked the photobook!
Looking great brother! Stoked for you on this!! You’re the man!! Keep it up!
This is great news and more than deserved in my estimation!
Greetings Robin from Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. I have been following you for a while. and have been following MFT and OM1 System. I appreciate your channel and really like your photo book.
you deserve it robin , keep the videos coming great stuff .
Thanks Mark, more to come for sure
Congratulations! I have GX9, GM1 and some M43 lenses all 2nd handed, so far I am happy with them!
What a star J is ! Looking forward to your thoughts and experiences using the OM 1 and all its features.
Robin is so cute in such a sincere, adult way, it always makes me smile on a rainy day ❤️
Thanks Max, not many people described me as cute!
I will be looking out for the EM1 content. Can’t wait.
What a generous gift, and I think you deserve it Robin! Been watching your videos and reading the blog since the OM-D EM-5 days. Thank you!
Thanks Ryan, whoah that means you have been around for more than 10 years. Thanks so much for sticking for such a long time. That means a lot to me.
@@robinwong Yes indeed, I'm glad you're still going! I remember you used to do a lot of black and white street photography, and also remember when Malaysia when through some political turmoil.
