Great instructions! I like that you are concise in your presentation. I rescued 6-MECO folding chairs that someone was throwing out. The chair frames are in good shape. The seat-pads and seat-backs have fabric that look dated and the foam pads are thin. I would like to change out the fabric and add more foam...However, on the MECO chairs the seat-backs have screws but the seat-pads are secured with something that looks similar to plastic anchors.The plastic anchors are visible under the seat frame. Can this kind of seat-pad be changed out? The seat-foam and fabric would need to be assembled over the plastic anchors ...I am assuming that the seat pads would then need be hammered-in where the anchors line up on the seat fame ... If I push the anchors through the holes in the seat frame to release the seat-pad, with a pair of pilers, I am concerned I will not be able to used the anchors again. Have you worked on a MECO folding chair? Any advise?

What a find! No, I haven't worked on those chairs. I did a quick search to see if those are replacement parts that you can purchase, and I didn't find anything. It looks like the original staples you pulled off the chair were 1/8" leg, is that right? I have a similar chair with thin particle board at the bottom and Im concerned that 1/4" staples poke entirely through and will be felt through the foam. Is that an issue?

I would probably try 1/8" for yours, it should hold. You may have to add some adhesive if it doesn't hold real good.
