Eerily similar to Guerlain Meteorites (not sure if discontinued) but i do have a bottle and i love it to bits. Violets, pastel blue, the softness of vanilla, aldehydes on top to give it that very familiar crisp and clean scent nobody wouldnt mind smelling like. Enjoyable but yeah, not entirely creative.
Acne has gone through a renaissance the last couple of years. Quality and fit of clothing for price point is great. They are targeting a more experimental genderless artistic crowd. I would not discount them to..wool scarves. With that being said, this collaboration makes sense for the times. I also received my samples today and I really like the scent. I will be buying a bottle, the dry down is unlike anything I own and the lactic set is what I think sets it apart from other fragrances with similar notes (a far less offensive Gucci Rush comes to mind).
Fit? They are literally only offering shapeless unflattering oversize hipster clothes at this point. Quality always sucked, but maybe they improved that, who knows.

Perhaps that's just me feeling like the brand is on the overall decline in terms of relevance in that category...but I suppose Acne is one of the few brands left that doesn't have a fragrance division established. I would have preferred a FM x The Row collab. I'm surprised Malle used such an novice perfumer who doesn't have an established pedigree. I am totally unfamiliar with Suzy Le Helley's work.

Now that Frederic Malle has said he is leaving his brand in June i wonder where the FM line will go without him steering it. Is this his final release or had he already handed in his notice & checked out mentally while this was being developed.

It's nice! The smell left over is not very strong which is a good thing to me. I imagine using the fabric softener would boost the scent. But mostly I like that it's gentle on the clothes and doesn't have an offensively chemical clean laundry smell.
@@cheapimitation2242 Comète was heliotrope/almond/musk and powdery Iris I thought, not much aldehydes. This was fabric softener/soapy/creamy/pastel/bubbly + more rosy/peachy and aldehydic. You are right... there was also Dior New Look

It's a quirky scent indeed... the notes could match an aldehydic floral from mid 1900's but smell modern. wish it was cheaper.
How do you think it compares to Comete btw? I wonder if we are seeing a mini trend of modernized soapy aldehydes coming out.
